How do you guys feel about the Twins?

Do you think they need buffs/nerfs? Do you think they need a small rework? Or do you think they're fine?

I'm asking this because lately I've seen more and more people say that the twins are actually decent killers and that they dont need any major buffs. I havent gone up against the twins enough to say if they need any changes and I havent played them for too long to form an opinion on them.

They are decent, the ability to be in 2 places at one is great. They only thing that is holding me back from playing them is the fact that bonus points from BBQ don't add up. Also sometimes i cannot use victors attack at all, which makes me standard m1 killer.

I think its too early to say, I do believe Victor riding a survivor is weirdly inconsequencial to the survivor, really the only thing I find "harms" me is the sound playing.... and also I feel kicking Victor should have some negative impact on the survivor

I hate them, and this is the reason. They just kill the fun out of the game, much like PH

I feel they have good potential, as landing a lot of victor's pounces can be deadly, but missing can be game killing.

I'd say they just need some QoL adjustments, but overall they're decent.

they are fun to play as and against. Just too much of a camping basement potential but otherwise i love them from both sides !

I don't have the killer so I have no idea how her power works but seems kinda BS how easy she gets victor back. I kicked him and a short time later it's back again? IMO should be some penalty there like longer CD.

Yikes 5 seconds for crushing victor?

*Laughs in legion's 20 seconds cooldown for missing an attack*

I'm going to put a couple hours into them tonight, learn some counters, and I'll have a better opinion then.

But, so far the ones I have faced, tend to camp and tunnel. Maybe that's their best playstyle. Sucks when they just camp one by the hook and instantly return when you go for the save tho.

I enjoy them tbh. I think they are great at mid-end game when down to 4 gens. They can split up and cover 2 gens each, which is possible if you grouped them together.

I run Whispers/Overcharge/Oppression/Unnerving Presence. Idea is too snowball the oppression/overcharge regression and split it between Victor and Charlotte. Victor can act as a warning with KI and can incapacitate survivors. Slugging is encouraged for this killer and buys time to damage gens and hunt more. I like them a lot and they will probably be my 2nd main (after Doctor)

They need buffs and a better limit to their camping.

They need to buff victor being on survivors as it isn't threatening, making him down you after 45 seconds(can be adjusted) would make chases more interesting since they have to take off victor but also be careful when doing so since it will stun them.

Also just some QOL changes are needed, things like charlottes camera being locked when switching to her is so annoying and unnecessary.

Switching between the Twins takes time, dispatching Victor time and even recalling Victor after 45 seconds takes time. Longer cooldown of Victor regen is not needed. They have enough time penalty for their powers in general, they don't need additional cool down.

I dont like to go against them. I would be totally fine with buffing them, if the Devs remove the annoying aspects. Camping with either Victor or Charlotte should not be possible.

Having an idle Charlotte at the Hook is basically Insidious-Camping, as long as Victor does not get crushed. And having an idle Victor at the Hook would require the Survivor to crouch (which still would make it possible to switch to Victor after the Unhook), which is the same as Hag, which is already a boring Killer to go against because of exactly that Mechanic.

Just instead of triggering a Trap the Killer sees Killer Instinct, which allows them to switch to Victor.

Also Victors Hitbox feels HUGE. He smacked a Wall next to me and I still got downed, one time he hit the air fair above me and still downed me. Is there an actual image of the Hitbox btw?

The thing is, Victor downing a Survivor after 45 seconds (or whatever amount) would just be a lose/lose Situation once again. Either the Survivor gets downed by Victor or they get downed by Charlotte while getting Victor off. Sure, it could waste up to 45 seconds if the Survivor would just keep Victor on their shoulders, but having a guaranteed down in a Chase without anything to do against it is the same as a Killer bloodlustig until he reached Tier 3 or old Legion.

The thing is it's really easy to take off victor before charlotte gets to you, you can get hit by victor near charlotte and still have enough time to take him off without getting punished. This killer isn't very strong when you don't have victor i don't see how making him down a survivor after a long time would make them that broken.

Like say your right in front of charlotte and you attempt to take off victor as soon as he is on you, not only do you get a speed boost from getting injured by victor but you also are faster than the killer as she is "waking up". Sure you will get stunned when you take him off but you still have plenty of distance to not get hit for a few seconds and if you went to a loop you can probably avoid getting hit. This would make this killer more interesting to go against since you have to figure out when you should take off victor. Do you do it right away and give back her power or do you loop for a bit first and take him off after you drop a pallet.

edit: As for the loss/loss situation that isn't that bad since you will still have wasted a lot of the killers time and it won't always be a loss/loss situation. Like the killer should be strong but she literally doesn't have a power when victor is on someone he should at least be a danger but he really isn't.

they still have a few bugs but with some more polish i can see them doing well. for now i would say b tier maybe go up or down after a few more weeks of playing as and against them.

if i could make any changes i would make it possible for charlotte to recall victor when he is idle that way she basically has a "power" so if she bumps into a survivor whilst victor is on the other side of the map and injures them she could just recall victor and after 5 seconds send him out to pursue them making them more aggressive.

also i would reduce the amount of time victor can be on a survivor's shoulders before being recalled from 45 seconds to 30 that would probably put them move up in my tier list

One thing i would change is to have some form of slug detector by base. Her kit heavenly encourages slugging and playing her without deerstalker just means people will get lost and end up dying on the floor.

Which sucks for both sides. I have stopped playing them untill i got deerstalker. It's horrible playing them without it imo

The Nurse comparison is apt. When played poorly The Twins might be the worst Killer in the game. When played optimally though.. practically impossible to beat in solo queue.

at least there should be more cool down time to rebear that small guy, around 30-45 sec would be good.

    From a Console perspective,

Low tier, same problems as Old Legion. If they decide they want one person to die, there's not much you can do since they are VERY good at camping and slugging.

However, they are bad at literally everything else. Victor is WAY too punishing for the meagre reward he gives, Charlotte wakes up too slowly, Victor gets shut down on most loops since your camera can't go up ect ect

I actually love the twins so far- both playing as and against. I played a game last night and I just kept laughing at the pounces I missed and the goofy plays by survivors-seemed to be a fun game all round tbh.

I do think if Victor is kicked (either while idle or after missing a lunge) the cool down for him respawning on Charlotte needs to be a bit longer.

I'm borderline on the camping potential too- when this pays off for the killer it does seem to be due to misplays on the survivors part imo, but it's a lot more oppressive than any other killers in the roster (barring facecamping bubba maybe).

The slugging is fine- we have a tonne of perks to help with this strat, the best solution is to actually remain healed rather than slamming out gens all game. A full reset is always hard for a killer to come back from, for the twins it's potentially game ending.

It's a Victor bug. if you end the game as Charlotte you'll get your bonus bloodpoints

Only played two games with them, not that fun I think. Good or bad hard to tell. As survivor which I play mostly I do like to play against Twins feels different and fresh. But to early to say how good they are feels a bit like mid tier but lets wait a bit.

Thanks you very much for that info. I was not going to play them until this bug would be fixed.

  • DwightFairfield
    DwightFairfield Member Posts: 1,246

    Fine killer, horrible implementation.

Provided that the only real way to play them is with camping and slugging sort of makes them obnoxious to play against.

I understand that camping and slugging are things I just have to accept as a normal part of the game, as there's not much we can do to fix it. But when the only thing that a killer does is that, you begin to associate the killer with the behavior, instead of the player's behavior.

It's nothing short of annoying, and some people are just gonna DC against them, instead of playing them, which means lots of people would have wasted their money.

I wish attaching Victor to a survivor did more as that's the more interesting part of Victor's pounce imo.

But attaching Victor to survivors is a huge cost with little reward when you can just use Victor to down injured survivors in quick succession.

They need to be removed along with Hag. Or HEAVILY modified. Promoting a garbage, incredibly boring playstyle, and any deviation from it means an instant loss. So glad they made yet another killer of this type of playstyle.

Meh, at least we got Blight last chapter, and I really hope McClean is taking the reigns for the next killer, because from what I heard, Blight was almost all him and he did a great job making such a fun killer that it gave me a reason to keep playing this game.

I find them boring from either side. I don't think they're design is very good in terms of appearance either. A good try at a different type of killer, but overall a very meh response to them.

Imo the cooldown before Victor comes back getting punted needs to be a tad bit longer.

The camera also shouldn't be locked while transferring back to Charlotte. That's just stupid.

Also, maybe getting chase points while being chased by Victor would be nice.

Oh yeah dispatching victor absolutely takes time like...1 seconds lmao and the switch takes 0.25 seconds from Charlotte to victor and 3 seconds from victor on a small killer that runs 150% movement speed with a generous hitbox is a grave penalty.

    Believe me,

    1.9.2 was the worst.

Absolute bug galore, like a TON of bugs and one of the worst balance decisions from the devs ever (You didn't need to time pallet/flashlights saves anymore + it played the full pickup animation and then stunned you afterwards)
