PSA All Bad Survivor Players
Please, for the love of god, look up a ######### tutorial on what you should be doing as survivor.
I get it. It's a complicated game. It's got more depth than the ######### Pacific Ocean.
But HOLY ######### my mind is actually fracturing from the behaviour displayed by survivors in my games.
If you aren't being chased, DO A GENERATOR. I can't tell you how many times I've seen my teammate with Empathy or while I'm on the floor sitting in a corner doing absolutely nothing.
If someone is about to go into the next stage of sacrifice, DO NOT, AND I MEAN DO NOT, WALK YOUR SLOW ASS FROM HALFWAY ACROSS THE MAP. You are actively killing your team by doing this.
If you just got hit by the Killer, DO NOT THROW A PALLET. You move at 150% move speed for 2 seconds after being hit. Do not waste a pallet that another teammate or yourself could use later.
If you hear the Terror Radius, don't hide in a corner or a locker. Identify the area with the most safety in your immediate area, then determine where the Killer is most likely coming from. This will save your life, your teammate's lives, and it's overall more efficient.
If you are on a generator and you miss a skill check, DON'T WALK AWAY. Commit to the generator until you are in danger. Also, don't go for great skill checks when you're new. Go for good skill checks. 10x easier, and greats aren't that great on gens anyway.
Just the little things. I swear your gaming experience and your teammates' gaming experience will be made a million times better if followed even one of these 5 guidelines.
Thank you for coming to my tedtalk

I've seen red ranked survivors play this way, its not exclusive to new players :/

"I get it. It's a complicated game. It's got more depth than the f-ing Pacific Ocean."

So what you are saying is, you are cursed by Hex: Solo Queue?

It's as if you're expecting some of these people to have braincells

I stopped running Bond and Empathy because I was losing my mind with how many teammates will not play the game. If they're injured, they just stand someplace they feel is safe and hope someone comes across them and heals them, I guess? Or all three teammates run Self Care and fully heal against Legions? Literally NO ONE will play injured except me. It ranking system is a joke. My worst teammates by far are red and purple ranks.

That's my point. No one understands this game except for a select few.
I mean, compared to what the tutorial tells you, yes, it very much is
It's not just as survivor. While I hate gens popping every 2 seconds, nothing feels worse than stomping on some potatoes that can't loop at all, don't do gens, and leave people to die on first hook.
True, true

oh, I rarely run Bond and Empathy. When I do, OOOOHHHHH my god is it infuriating.

The things you're complaining about are far-ranging enough that you should be seeing it as a problem with the game's onboarding and first-time user experience, not with the players.

The issue with bad players is that they don't realise they're bad players :/ they don't see an issue with wasting time, camping pallets and wasting pallets. When survivors waste pallets they actually hold up long chases so they don't see an issue. Of course players like myself that actually loop properly rather than throw down all the pallets, can't loop the killer because every pallet is gone, but the player that wasted the pallets probably assumes they're god tier because they held up a long chase.

I think you need to chill down a bit. I'd say 90% of the survivors you play with won't even read this.
Now, about throwing pallets after being hit. I play on PS4 and I have a problem that many times I need to press the button earlier than standing at the pallet to throwing it down in time not to be hit. But sometimes I press the button, am hit before the animation and the pallet still gets dropped, after the hit (I also admit that I usually press the button to drop 2-3 times, just to be sure)...
It's not the same when I play on pc, because on pc you can interact with things in "real time"... in PS4 it has a slight button press lag that I need to compensate by antecipating some moves and judgements... and I get locked on it.
So it happens sometimes and even I hate it, but...

Yep. Just the few seconds you're on the ground when you're downed is bad enough. Last game I was in, two gens to go, I'm downed, all three teammates are crouched doing nothing, too terrified to move. It was a Wraith.

Yeah I had friends like this before they all quit because of match making. We'd go into a KYF and one of them would just throw every single pallet and I was like, wait do yo really play like this? The stun the killer four times challenge for me will only get done if a killer is farming. I don't stun the killer four times in 40 games.

Oh, no, I mean when you get hit, rush to the pallet, throw it, then continue running. Getting hit through a pallet isn't your fault

Yeah, I have a friend that relies on Self-Care and Urban Evasion, and thinks he's a god. Typical Jake main lmao

I was a terrible survivor during the first (or was it second?) rift pass so I camped pallets for that challenge. The challenge during this pass I think it was to get 3 stuns? It was painful and took me so long to do but I took the killer on a map tour the whole game and when looping him he just walked into every pallet.
But I protect pallets so much and when I see a survivor camping a pallet I want to scream at them.

Well, yeah, something is more complicated than nothing.

Just a tip. When you explain your frustrations and criticisms in a calm matter, people take you more seriously.
Nobody takes you seriously when you scream and cry about things.

LUL Every Nerf DS Thread Ever.

I am calm. I'm a bit frustrated, because holy ######### is soloq hell rn, but I'm calm. I probably should have bolded instead of all caps to signify I'm just emphasizing my words

I kind of like the disorganized chaos of public matches. There's a pretty steep learning curve surviving. Not everyone is 100% btdt proficient. Plus some are doing challenges, so the objective isn't really always universal. If it's too frustrating why not just swf?

I play solo survivor and you make a lot of good points. I run kindred, so I know everyone can see everyone else when I am hooked but inevitably all 3 other survivors will be sneaking toward the hook. Seriously, not even one of you guys is doing a gen, across the map?!? I often feel like I am the only one with gen priority on my mind, if I get chased off one I get on another one and just keep on them. I run past people just crouched near a gen doing doink because they heard a whisper of heartbeat, or are watching a chase. I wish the game had a chat system for everyone like COD so you could tell people to get to work, lol.

Lol as if I have friends

Im upvoting this, because as a killer main....survivors have become worse.
