One chase = 2-3 gens pop

The maps are small enough to where spawning anywhere doesn’t really matter. You can’t use the phrase “other end of the map” when someone’s got the killer in their face right as soon as they spawn in. It’s ridiculous how small these maps are.

Yeah why would I buy killers when the game obj is to "kill" but yet you get punished with de-pips as bubba or insta down killers?
0 -
Yeah that's straight up bs. No killer will ever down me (or any other semi-decent survivor) in 20 seconds unless it's a god Nurse.

Its harder to pip with some killer, but its not important. The ranking system is broken anyway. Dont play for pips.

Tell that to the killers who play for pips because there's no other incentive.

Because for some reason BHVR doesn't code survivors to start away from gens instead of on top of them.
Imagine if killer spawned next to 1 survivor each trial.

Generator completion has always had the same prevalence in games. In fact, after toolbox nerf and BNP nerf and multiple survivors on one gen nerf it's technically harder to complete gens than ever. Players have the Ruin + Undying combo. The corrupt + pop combo. Each generator takes 80 seconds to complete solo therefore your chases are over 80 seconds. In high level dbd, you shouldn't really ever commit that match time in a chase at the start of a match. If the generator times take a hit again there will need to be many more adjustments to follow. I'm not against generators being slow per se since it will encourage killers to do the most fun part of the game for survivors which is chase, however, I just don't see that happening because most players are happy with balance at the highest level of dbd. It has improved a lot since this game first started.

It's ridiculous how quickly gens can be done.
I play solo and 2 completed gens by the first down, is not an exception, but normal.

How annoying it might be, just try to relax and accept it, it isn't over yet.
For example I played as wraith yesterday on thompson House and as soon as i hooked the first survivor (chase was less than 30s) 3 gens popped.
I go after someone else down and hook him and than went on doing a rift challenge where you need to bamboozle a window 8 times in 1 match.
So I just vaulted the same window 8 times and then went on playing the game again.
And still got a 4k out of it with 12 hooks.
The last 3 gens were accros the map in separate corners.
As soon as i sacrificed the 3rd survivor the last gen popped so was easy to find the last one.
So you see, things can quickly turn around and in your favour.
But i can understand it is annoying as hell when 2 or 3 gens pop really fast

Imagine not having ruin + undying. just so boring

Not fun getting a huge disadvantage right off the bat. Not a good feeling to play killer.

People say bring corrupt but you shouldn't need perks to balance the game. If you're a slow killer on a big map you're almost guaranteed to lose 2 gens near the beginning.

I kind of understand. I played to reach rank 1, too, when i started. I dont think they will change the harder pips for some killer with emblems, bc they will use the new MMR-system, when its ready.
Good thing with the current system is its so easy that you can reach rank 1 with every killer.
So while it is harder with some, its still not hard. So when you dont reach rank 1, it means you can still get better.

You shouldnt need perks to get to rank 1, nor luck, should be skill.
1 -
Perks should be an enhancement, not a requirement.
0 -
Yh im saying that. Survivors are so bad at red ranks, that skill is enough to get a pip. You should be able to get to rank 1 with only skill.
Perks sure help, but the most impact has your skill.

Not saying you have to use it. Just that it's very effective to stop early gens with killers that can transverse the map well. Think blight, nurse, oni, billy etc.

If only that were true

I feel your pain but from the other side. 9 times out of 10 when i am chased by the killer it seems like a marathon before i either get away or am downed and not a single gen pops. I swear it's like the survivors i am in game with are waiting for nothing else but a race to unhook others and often right in front of the killer.

a solo gen takes around 80 second, maybe chase survivors who do gens instead?

Sometimes gens do really get popped too fast. But just because they get poped fast at the beginning doesn't mean you are losing the game. I said it many times already, at the beginning there are many gens for the survivors to choose from, gens are far apart, so as a killer you have to travel far to find someone on a gen, so you waste time. Also, at the beginning there are 4 survivors, there are more healthy survivors, no one is hooked yet, so it's natural, that gens pop fast.
As the game progresses, there are less gens, patrol times are shorter, it's easier to patrol gens and find survivors. There are less survivors, less healthy survivors, they have to waste time healing, unhooking etc. Gen poping slows down drastically. Gens poping fast at the beginning is ok, as long as you manage to kill at least 2 survivors per match on average.
That being said, I do thing that gens sometimes pop way too fast, when I'm playing vs a good coordinated SWF team. But that's a problem with SWF, that must be dealt with somehow.

Chances are you have bad luck and you play always against good survivor. Its depending on your platform, region and daytime.
But for most player, myself included, skill is enough to reach rank 1, bc i dont need to play on my limit in most red rank matches.
Without perks its certainly a higher chance that i lose, but i win enough to get to rank 1, only slower.
So when you are not able to reach red rank, you have room to improve.

Yeah just ignore this main his entire profile reeks of bait and entitled survivor

You have messed up your chase to a significant degree if 2-3 gens are popping in a pub match. There's a lot you're doing wrong if that's happening. Survivors often fail to do 2-3 gens in entire games at red ranks.

Killers can't possibly spawn within 3 tiles of survivors. Experienced killers know spawn points, but they're not spawning on you. Not physically possibly due to how spawns are coded.
