Why does the game not show killer's ping?
I just had a game where I'm pretty sure the killer was manipulating their connection. I had 40 ping and was teleporting everywhere. No it was not my internet. Oh and guess what! It was a PC killer (and ya'll always asking why I want to turn off crossplay).
My question is why when I pause the game do I see everyone's ping but the killer's? Am I just missing it? Why would you not tell me their ping. JUST the ping IDGAF about anything else. Absolutely no way I should be rubber banding and then getting hit around corners with no bad ping indicator and a consistent 40 ping. Absolutely no way.
EDIT: Can't even report them properly because they are on a different platform and I'm forced into crossplay on Series X. Thanks BHVR.

What does the killer's ping have to do with you teleporting?
That's totally your internet.

LOL It's not he was 100% doing something. I had 40 ping and no bad ping indicator. No packet loss. I was tracking it there was nothing funny on my end.
Also it only suspiciously happened after he chased me for about 30 seconds and couldn't land a hit. Like clockwork.
Should also mention that I didn't have this problem before or after this game.

Finally you see why this shits needed. Some killers really do want them bad wifi hits and abuse the fact the guts factor their side no matter what.

When did I ever say we didn't need a ping indicator?
This was just especially egregious and the fact I can't report them because they are on a different platform is a problem.

So do tell how it was the Killer's ping that effected your individual connection to dbd's server?
That doesn't mean Jack. Sometimes ping indicators don't show anything even though clearly something is wrong with the connection. It's also not necessarily the problem with what's happening.
As an aside, sure show the killer's ping. I don't particularly care since I don't play killer. I don't think it'll matter cuz the devs take forever to ban for sure cheaters. They probably won't do anything but it'll surely bring massive salt to the community.

If you were teleporting chances are it was a hacker screwing your game if anything, though not sure how that happens. The hackers I've seen can teleport themselves to you, but not you to them. They can also stab you from anywhere, or pick you up from anywhere, but they can't just teleport you.
Again, explain how the killer's ping makes you teleport?
There is no way to make you rubber band other than your connection being shot.

I don't know but the fact that I would rubber band very conveniently after it was clear he wasn't good enough to catch me and that I can't see his ping while my ping remained completely stable suggests he was doing SOMETHING.
You explain to me how I would rubber band really bad all of a sudden right in front of the killer that can't catch me and my connection didn't fluctuate at all during this time. Seems like shadey business to me bro.

It should show the killer's ping so I can dodge all the fun VPNers we get on EU :)

My bad I meant it as a finally more people are seeing why we need it. Some killers abuse it and people only start commenting when it negatively affects them.

The killer ping isn't shown because survivors would dodge laggers. Simple as that.

As it should be.

Ikr. You don't need to convince me, but bhvr.

It's one of the thing I miss about p2p. It wasn't perfect and had lag switchers, but it was for the most part accurate with MLGA. :/

I'd love a killer ping indicator. If I can't d/c, I should be able to make an informed decision about whether or not to take a match. A killer with bad ping is miserable and hit validation has done absolutely nothing to solve it. I'm not even convinced it's on.

Because it's a simply QoL change ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

There absolutely should be a killer ping indicator, I can’t think of a single good argument against it personally. As survivor I’d like to know if I’m gonna have to deal with getting hit from across the map, and as killer I’d like my good ping to be broadcast to the world so people can stop blaming me for DBD’s laggy servers and deceptive hit boxes.
