Killers aren't faultless for DS

The reality is DS probably causes more killers to tunnel than to not. If a survivor team starts playing too altruistically it's very easy to eat a DS unintentionally. This type of scenario is pretty common, especially when a group of survivors think it's clever to all dress alike. DS shouldn't be used as an aggressive perk, what needs to change about it is it's ability should be deactivated anytime a survivor performs an action. So if you go to heal somebody else, work a gen or perform a rushed action it should deactivate.

DS mainly annoys me when I'm hit from it by a survivor who dive-bombed a hook (they followed me to the hook and try to unhook right after I hook) and I grab-interrupted them during the unhook. If you're doing that and I grab you that's not tunneling no matter how recently you just got unhooked.
Or when I get DS'd back to back, which can sometimes happen in the endgame where people tend to dive-bomb hooks one after another.
Or when a survivor is doing stuff like Saboing a hook, I hit and down them, the survivor on my back wiggles off on the way to a different hook, I go back to pick up the sabo survivor who I just downed, and he DS's me.

My only suggestion for DS is that it gets disabled once the survivor starts working on a generator, it's really annoying for a survivor to run 5m to the nearest gen fresh off of hook and work on it as I try to chase who unhooked him. Like, I can either eat the DS to get him off or down him and let him get a free unbreakable/revive, meanwhile his DS never being used- there's literally no circumventing this interaction other than slugging him and staring him in the face for 60 seconds.
I definitely understand the need for survivors to have anti-tunnel protection but being able to aggressively power through gens while injured thanks to their 60 seconds of invincibility. If a survivor feels like they're in a position to work on generators, they should also be in a position to be punished for it- you don't want to get tunneled? Heal up and move onto another gen. When there are 2-3 DS's per match, a cumulative 120-180 seconds of free generator repair time is worth at least 1-2 gens.
Again, I feel for the survivors that get taken out of games super quick, so I feel like the perk should still be able to protect them as intended, but gen rushing right off of hook IMO makes this perk, as is, super frustrating.

Just tunnel from the start so you don't have to deal with DS later

I have crossplay turned off, that accounts for most of the egregious wait times. I refuse to play with console players.

I run DS because it puts that little Entity symbol over someone's name which means the killer is far less likely to tunnel overall.
Without it, just open season for the tunnels - I see it all the time.
Killers are just people after all and as such they generally have little honor in online games.

Yeah they screwed us big time with that since the default is crossplay. You only get to play with people who have it turned off I bet, which makes wait times stupid.
