Prestige Idea
So I know this got changed back in the day and I think it needs changing again because of what it causes the player to waste if they actually want to prestige multiple characters.
My idea is simple. Create a bloodpoint "vault" so to say. You can bank your BP in it and a certain amount allows you to unlock prestige. You don't lose anything for doing it or hell say you DO lose everything. The number I have in mind would be smaller than it takes to prestige now obviously. Maybe 1 million or 1.5 million bp?
The reason for this is simple. I initially wanted to prestige my characters WITHOUT wasting tons of items. After months and months, I realized doing this will ultimately take me YEARS and therefore its not a logical option...yes YEARS of daily play to actually use everything. This is all while not wanting to waste BP by leveling my characters past 50. So YEARS to finish and all while not having the perks I want or the levels of those perks.
So I said screw it and started prestiging everyone without a care of wasting my items. Once I get to prestige 3 it won't matter. I just think the system is really flawed and stupid due to the end result of things. When you consider millions of millions of BP this takes. You will get 1 of 2 results. Spend YEARS playing with obsolete setups to get rid of everything you bought. Or outright prestige as soon as it's possible. This means the VAST majority of bloodpoints you earn as a player you DON"T get to use.
The current system actively penalizes players who wholely support the game with as many purchases and characters as possible.

I think the point is to use your rarest ones as you go, not hoard them, and have the choice to prestige. Because on other games, you do lose everything when you prestige, it’s a restart to keep things interesting. However, you don’t have to prestige at all you can stay at level 50 forever if you don’t want to lose your stuff and farm for your perks you want.
I get that it is annoying losing stuff, I’m also a person that wanted to use everything I owned before prestiging but it isn’t worth the time and at the end of the day, you’ll have around 17 commons that don’t mean much. The blood points spent on them were put towards the useful perks you got with them.

I like a challenge so I generally prestige without saving up any points. Adds a bit more to a match when I know I'm only using one tier 1 perk without any add-ons and no offerings in the Red Ranks. Sometimes (like with Freddy) it's hilarious to watch survivors lose so badly when only using one perk.

Its just the whole process just seems pointless really.
I did initially want to use everything. Hell I even changed my thinking 3-4 times and went from okay I will use all but brown....okay all but yellow and brown...okay all purple only. Oh the hell with this I will use only streamers or cakes puddings whatever.
The real problem is what happens over time the more characters you get. Each character you get means that the NEXT new character you level to 50 will have less of the perks you want because theres more that can show up. It penalizes you....
Like I said earlier a main issue is needing to level at 50 multiple times to get the perks you want being a waste. I'd rather have to level an extra 50 levels to get the prestige outfit if it means I don't have to waste the items and keep the perks. THAT would actually be harder but we wouldn't lose our stuff.

All i really think they need to do is that when you prestige you keep your perks but there all level 1
