Solo Q survivors, how many times do you get accused of being in a SWF?
I think that killers accusing people of being in a SWF has been a growing excuse every time they do poorly.
As someone who plays 100% of my games solo, more often than not if the killer decides to say something in the post game chat, they accuse me or my team of being a "sweaty SWF".
Is there any statistics on how common is SWF vs Solo Q survivors? And how often are 4 men SWF groups?
I just went against a Billy who wanted to do his chainsaw challenge. Since he wasn't able to communicate that was what he was trying to do (which I would have easily helped), he decided to camp someone on hook until they denied, saying it was because our "sweaty SWF" didn't let him do the challenge.
When I told him I was solo and my build wasn't really "sweaty" (iron will + spine chill + dead hard + kindred), he got frustrated and said some not so nice things.
How many of you get accused of being in a SWF when you aren't? And killers. what leads you to believe someone is in a SWF?

I'm not on PC (PS5), but I have never had the killer accuse me of being in a SWF. In fact, it's been the other way around lol. I've had other solo survivors assume I'm in a SWF with other people or actually give me kudos for being a total team player.

When I solo and the team manages to correctly do the clense NOED then BT unhook bodyblock out the door dance, oh yes the accusations fly.
It takes real effort for them to complain on Xbox, but once I point them towards the Vod and/or YT and see for themselves, they either disappear or back-track like a mofo.

When killers lose because they went against 4 one man SWFs

Never because i dont play with randoms

Not very often, and when it does happen it's actually often true of my teammates (when I can check, that is).

Fairly often. Killers tend to jump to that conclusion if you do something remotely intelligent under pressure. BT save into body block escape? "Nice SWF". Take aggro from an injured death hook teammate? "Oh wow nice comms". Because I definitely need comms to do any of that.

It happens a lot with me and I rarely swf. I do tend to try to co-ordinate the team slightly and often take hits for players etc so yes, killers do think that means swf's.

I am usually the first to die so no hasn't happened to me yet

1 play 100% solo and get "accused" of swf every now and then, usually if i get good teammates (and i mean good, they take risks for each other, they take over chases if the one chased is not very good at chases or hooked twice, and so on). Most of the time that happens, the other guys are an swf, most often 3, sometimes only 2. But there were cases were i got really excellent teammates and all of us were solo. But its quite rare.

It is quite rare indeed, that is why it's so frustrating getting potatoes in 99.99% of matches and when they aren't you get called "swf".

Surprisingly often on PS4 just because I worked with fellow solo players trying to help them stay alive or take hits for them. I once had someone literally argue with me for 20 minutes via messages over a Jane Head-On'ing him from a locker I ran past (I had no idea she was there) and he was adamant that I was a SWF and we bullied him.

Happens a lot when the killer get's steam rolled.
Had one that accused me of being an object SWF. I had object, but I was solo.
Killer was so convinced they were like "I checked friends lists" except the funny part it is I wasn't friends with ANYONE in the lobby because I was solo...

I'll get accused of it a bit and am always solo. It's usually because I can make decent plays using Kindred, which should actually be a giveaway that I'm not in a SWF. When I play killer, I don't accuse anyone of SWF, but I think I can tell a SWF from a regular group. The some of giveaways are:
Immediate unhooking with BT saves
One player runs by a totem during a chase, totem gone 15 seconds later
If I'm running a perk like Mad Grit or Make Your Choice, I'll get it to work once, but never again
There is always someone working a gen, usually 2 or 3 gens pop during the first chase
All survivors go to one exit gate at the end and are there for the body blocks
Granted, all those can just be random luck too, but when you start combining them it's usually SWF.

I’ve gotten fairly good at figuring out if it’s a good solo q or a swf. It has a lot to do with the weird matchmaking and a guess if it’s a 2-4 man swf.
some of the best solo q I’ve come across were some of the more fair matches I’ve been in. Still lost but it was very informative and everyone was polite.

From time to time.
One notable situation like that for me actually went positively, though: me and 3 other randos vs. a pig who had us dead to rights at a couple points, but through some clutch coordination and a solid bit of luck we managed to all get through the exit gate.
She asked us if we were SWF after, but after we clarified that we weren't, gave us props for working so well together. We told her she did damn good in return, gave her some tips to dunk on the next team, and we all wished eachother well
Good feels.

Before I turned off messages pretty often. I will body block at exits, take hits for injured teammates, sabotage hooks, pretty much do alot of stuff that killers tend to only associate with SWF. I tend to pay attention and adjust my play based on what my teammates are doing, if I get paired with others that know what they're doing can come across as swf but really we're just clicking. I've seen killers say "only swf will sabotage hook for teammate or flashlight save, solos don't" but I've had both happen more times than I can count. I suck with flashlights so if I find one I'll give it to a Teammate who then saves me with it later. I've also given toolboxes to teammates when I'm on last hook and they've then sabotaged the hook giving me extra shot at escaping.

Alot of that is just paying attention to the game. If it's a lit totem odds are more than 1 solo was looking for it, they saw you chase other survivor off so knew it was chance to cleanse it themself. If you instadowned someone after another survivor was saved then it gives away that you're running make your choice. Immediate BT saves happen to me ALL the time as solo player, actually drives me nuts because most killers just tunnel me off the hook when it happens. I always go to my own gen unless I have a coop challenge because I'd rather spread out to get more gens started. All at same exit gate also happens fairly often depending on how the killer has been playing that match. I always hold off running out if I'm healthy to help with body blocks if needed.

Every once in a while and they also never believe me when I say it was a solo game. It just takes a good play and a teammate that capitalizes on this. I usually get accused of SWF by killers I can read like a book. They have a particular playstyle and never stray away from it. They don't get it that 4 good solo players catch on to the same mindgames and don't need voice comms to win.
As killer I assume SWF when they have similar names, the same character, the same cosmetics. Or ingame the overly altruistic team is usually a SWF.

I think a better question is how many SWF refuse to admit they are an SWF and claim to be solo.

When i played killer and suspected an swf, i just asked them, and most people admited they were. Not always a full 4 players, but still. If people told me they were all solo, i had no reason to disbelive them. There is no advantage in pretending you were solo after the game.
The thing is solo players are able to make great plays, so they are suspected to be an swf, but they dont have to. You just have to be lucky and get a decent team, and you see why people think the game is survivor sided. But solo, you mostly get at least one potatoe, and the game is a loss if you play 3v1 instead of 4v1.
Thats why a decent matchmaking would be a big step to balancing the game.

I never accuse, because things are what they are. I usually ask if someone is a SWF, politely, just because I'm curious to know if I'm right or wrong. I have a pretty good feel for the difference between Ace Solos and a SWF. While I am firm in my opinion that Team and Solo should be two different Ques (and we would all play in both from time to time), that doesn't mean I think the Team players are doing anything sketchy nor do they deserve salt for it.

I had some killer absolutely lose his cool with me in endgame chat a couple of weeks ago because I traded with BT for another survivor and the 3 of them escaped. Accused me of being SWF etc, when I was on PC (as was he) and the other 3 randoms were on console. Took several attempts for me to explain to him I didn't know any of them and was just being altruistic.
If you play well and as a team with the game going badly for the Killer (0-1 kills) the SWF accusations will fly out the gate in post-game chat.

Wouldn't call it common, but wouldn't call it super rare either.
Most of the time even when it happens it's really not an accusation. Goes more like "swf?" "no/yes" "ah. gg" or something along those lines, and as long as someone doesn't explode if they don't get an answer I see no problem with asking a simple question.
Certainly do get the more accusation-like reactions sometimes too though, but that's just the usual "I didn't REALLY lose!" BS, no different to a survivor blaming a killer for something that never even happened. Just find a reason to declare you didn't lose the "right way", and if no reason exists just invent one.
