I wish survivors would stop being jerks to killers who are obviously trying to get nectar

Honestly it’s just really pathetic, especially when no one has been hooked and they’re Olympian loopers.

I have had so many games today (one of which was with that gross Ochido guy and his group - who I don’t know why was playing against a low rank killer like me) where survivors were just being bags of human anatomy. Like if a killer moves past a regular hook, chances are they’re taking you to an event one. Or when a killer sees you harvesting and doesn’t attack, they’re probably not out to screw you over.

One hook is not going to kill you, especially when you have friends. And idk I feel like whatever goes around will come back around - if you do a friendly killer dirty, you’re going to end up being ripped off flowers and slugged by another (or worse deliberately betrayed by a fellow survivor.)

It’s an event, lighten up and share the wealth you know? Treat others the way you would want to be treated.

Depends...if a killer is letting you harvest then of course I’ll let them put me on a event hook. Although if they are doing things such as setting traps (Hag and Trapper) at nectar plants then I’m not going to LET them hook me on event hooks because they are purposely trapping survivor nectar, so why would I give them theirs?

Example is that I was injured and Hillbilly let me finish harvesting a nectar plant so I obviously let him carry me to an event hook. Another round this Hag set ALL 10 of her traps at a nectar plant, I won’t purposely let her carry me to an event hook.

I mean...yeah it’s understandable for survivors to take killers with a grain of salt when they trap nectar.

But when the killer lets you harvest and then you cut and run, that’s not cool. Or you can clearly see all the hooks spawned on one side of the map so you either run away to the other side or purposely lead a killer on into a difficult place to take you back, that’s not cool either. Or deliberately trying to slow the killer down or even block the hook. Or disconnecting when you’re down or before the killer can place you on the event hook. That’s just scummy.

@pemberley I just want to get the nectar too. I’m not gonna be a jerk about it but I’ll do what I can do survive. I used to 360 and cart the killer but only reserve that for people who do me wrong. I hear what you’re saying, I’m sorry you had to deal with toxicity. I hope you get better games, friend.

If they're obviously farming then sure yeah, but if no ones been hooked and the game almost over im not risking getting face camped and no one helping.

I try to give them subtle hints.

If I catch one, and get them on an event hook, I leave until they're rescued so I might catch the least hooked person. Might nod at the hooked person.
I might chase, and hit, and hook them, but my goal isn't the sacrifice. I don't want to get bored while they make me wait while they freak out trying to figure out what I'm doing.
    Seriously, it's like chaos.

And of course the most subtle hint of all, watching them harvest, and not attacking them.
    At least until they're done.
No one seems to understand that they're near a flower, and I;m not trying to kill them. I mean obviously not trying to kill them.
I think maybe 2, 3 people in dozens of games got it?

Really annoying when it should be obvious I'm going to an event hook, and they're wiggling. Had a meg wiggle off once or twice as I was hauling her across the map. Naturally she backtracked, and made my haul more annoying.

As a survivor, I wish killers would give me a break. I'm harvesting. You hit me, and I resume harvesting. Let me finish? It's not like I'm getting a head start running from you when I'm done.
Some got the idea, thankfully. Really nice of them, and I do appreciate it.

Or, maybe take me to an event hook? Really sucks when I'm trying to help out, and get taken to a regular hook.

Be me. Waiting patiently for Nea to finishing harvesting rather than pull her off the plant. Coz I be nice like that.

She finishes and then runs... Er... ok, I suppose... I catch. Proceeding to event hook, Decisive Strike. Really #########? Nea is tunnelled and slugged multiple times until she d/cs. Everyone else escapes but I'm more than happy with this result. :)

I know what you mean. Coming from a survivor main myself, survivors are way more toxic then killers.Just had a killer game (which i am still newbee at with around 20 matches) with a SWF who decided to go toxic on me the whole round. I didnt trap flowers, didnt do anything remotely toxic. Just tried playing. But on the rare occasion i did get someone down, they would just flashlight me. Ds all of them off course. Ended up me not hooking a single person. Think at the bright side, they didnt get many points either cause no saves. But still its such a dick move to pull off. Just trolling the whole round.

I dont know why people in SWF play that toxic. Coming from a survivor main, why would you bully such obvious new killers that hard? And then they call me the salty one. Times like this, makes me actually embarrassed to be a survivor main. If i ever play like that to the killer, please camp me to death. To me totally legit then.

After a few games as killer I got bored with the "event gameplay" and now I always nodd at the survivors at their plants until they understand I wanna farm. Then I do all my event hooks and go afk until they are finished.

If they dont understand that I wanna farm, then I will do my best to 4k them for that blasphemy^^

When im done with the phials I will most likely take a break until the event is over.....

“Triggered” is so easy to get. They have to trip your traps 100 times and survivors are CONSTANTLY tripping the traps especially at lower ranks. I got it in about 4 or 5 rounds as the Hag. Smart idea to grind that trophy though.

All event (you could even argue all games) are like that.
I remenber seeing a couple post of survivor being salty that they wouldn't be able to sabo the event hook this time.

That's boring. You shouldn't rely on farming to get your nectar. Just play the game normally and attempt to hook them on the event hooks.

It's 300 times, but yeah I'm about halfway through that achievement and I only got Hag a month ago and not a killer main. I put traps in a whole row one match because I was bored that day and someone ran through all 10 of them.

    OMG
Why people don't enjoy both roles and instead wanna just screw people over? And why mostly survivors are?

Wow.. I've seen more killers giving me the hatch than survivors that doesn't act toxic. Just today they gave me 2 hatch.

i feel bad for them that plays 1 role then be super salty for no reason. This goes both ways but reading the forum the numbers talk clearly..

We have all the time in the world to play “normally,” but the event is only 2 weeks and there’s already a lot of pressure to get that nectar. Why not just be kind and everybody wins? Events should be fun and light hearted not stressful.

when a killer brings a ebony mori on the event and tunnels everyone on doctor with the rarest add-ons along with ruin, distressing, and other perks that make me want to die. so im toxic and loop him for 5 minutes until i get the hatch.

I've played a few games where the killer got almost no hooks. I'll offer a hook at the end if I haven't been hooked already. I've seen a lot of survivors doing this as well. I've also stepped in to take the place of a survivor being tunneled all to hell, good players are out there, I'm sorry you're encountering a bunch of crappy ones.

I'll try to get hooked a few times if my mates haven't ditched once the gates are open. Just so that the killer can get some serum.

So it's April 2020 here and I just had that happen to me. Two clearly veteran players were just doing all sorts of moves and "olympian loops" to distract or psych me out. Which is fine usually but the teabag dances and just sort of leading me on through a loooonggg game was really lame. I can understand doing what you need to do to win but not being a dick about it. Don't know what perks they even had but one was sprinting like she was in the Olympics and the other one knew the board so well he was running loops around me.

Part of this is just venting really but damn it really sucks the fun out of things.

This event really did keep you on the edge of your seat. It was a great sign and we were all hopeful for the next events that would take it to a whole new level... Unfortunately, BHVR had other plans.

To the guy who revived this thread - nothing much you can do about it. The main thing I recommend is to stay calm. They want to get into your head and piss you off. You start making mistakes that way. Take a deep breath, calm down, and destroy them. I also wouldn't recommend chasing people who want to be chased. Look for the weaklings.
