Fixing Farming

First, don't get me wrong - personally I don't have a problem with the occasional farming that is sometimes emerging in the event. In fact, I think the psychological game of trying to telegraph to the other side (be it killer or survivor) that you're willing to "play nice" in exchange for more nectar opportunities is kind of fascinating. That is, sometimes killers will let survivors get all the nectar without harassing them too much in exchange for the survivors letting them hook them to get all of theirs.

In the games that I've been in - both on survivor and killer side - when the unspoken agreement works, I've noticed that the post-game chat is very kind and complimentary. Lot's of "ty killer <3" and "That was great!" talk.

It is possible that BHVR anticipated this could happen- and maybe they're fine with it too.

But, in thinking about it, is there a way to prevent this kind of emerging farming in future events?

My thinking is that there likely is: if killers ONLY got their nectar upon a successful sacrifice of a survivor on a blighted hook, most of the farming opportunity looks like it would go away. Killers would have to much more aggressive from the start to assure some nectar sacrifices by the end. Of course, in exchange, I would expect that BHVR would have to grant more nectar per sacrifice - maybe doubling it so that each one is a full chunk - because it would be harder to achieve than just a hook.

But what do you think? Can farming like this be fixed? And should it be?

No we go months at a time with toxic post game chat, a 2 week event where we can be nice to one another is a welcome break. I for one am glad to see this happening, we can go back to hating one another after the event.

Would killers also have more event hooks? Do you realise how hard it is to get to an event hook sometimes? If you're the only one using and offering (and yes this happened to me today) there are 3 hooks and you could end up never being near them, now you have to kite the survivors that way. So now killers have to get 3 hooks a match to fill a vial while getting the survivor who's specifically on death hook to the right hook.

Its always funny when some survivors just allow the "taking" part of farming but dont want to give any event hooks to the killre.

    Ive punished a few recently^^

Not unless survivor's reward was tied to escaping. Cause it wouldn't matter if you were killed if you got all your vial filled.

In fact it is better to be killed right after you get your vial full, cause you can just get into the next match.

I wouldn't have an issue getting myself killed off to help the killer if they helped me get my vial full first.
