I will lobby dodge if I see this
This game has a serious problem in that solos are too easy for killer and SWF are too hard. That's why, when I play killer, I'm gonna dodge if I see all survivors are my platform or all of them are from another platform. I have to assume they're a 4-man SWF, which is a very miserable experience playing against. If there's 3 and 1, I'll humor it because it might be hard but is almost close to a fair match. But I don't care if I have to lobby dodge 5 times or more, because I don't want to be a 4-man's plaything. Maybe with Spirit or one of my better killers, I'll break away from this strat, but not with Trapper or anything weak like that.

You do you. Does dodging a lobby before it starts incur any kind of penalty?
I hope not but I'm genuinely wondering as I'm still a bit new to the game.

It doesn't. Just means you will probably stay stagnant at whatever skill level you currently are if you just go cherry picking.

As long as you don’t leave during the start up of the match (when you see your character on the map) you won’t be penalized.
of course console players can do this trick where they close app during the loading screen to avoid the dc penalty (this is both from my own usage and other people’s uses in my experience of the game).

Killers tend to take 1 look at me and dodge the lobby. That's why I use default version of my character.

And let me guess, you sweat hard on the solos and stomp them into the dirt? Maybe 4 man slug at 4-5 gens? I don't exactly blame people for not wanting to face 4 man SWF, I have dodged some lately when I'm not in the mood or I get that tingling it's going to be a nasty/BM group. But I also find it quite pathetic many Killers will go sweaty on solos to make sure they have a miserable experience on the flip side.

Sometimes it’s still worthwhile trying.
I’m fairly well known for being very off meta, usually almost always running Coulrophobia in my builds paired with something that inflicts Mangled.
I recently did that also with Undying + The Third Seal. Imagine my delight whereby sheer dumb luck/coincidence many of those lobbies swapped in a map last second, had a secret offering which we ALWAYS know is a Shroud of Binding, AND there was usually an OoO in almost the next dozen matches or so.
I can tell you that things went very badly for these teams very quickly due to a big part of the basis of their strategies going down the crapper.

People make such a huge deal out of lobby dodging but I really don't think it's an issue.

I play both sides (admittedly more killer these days, for variety. Survivor is more of the same every game); but what I said is true. Facing skilled teams only makes you better, and teaches you more.
If all you want is easy games, go play Minecraft.

Keys, or like, 4 toolboxes, 4 medkits etc.

Yes so as someone said you can sweat by stomping solos. Nothing wrong in lobby dodging but you'll never be really playing red ranks.

As rank one yes I dodge every key I see since o can’t mori the person with the key and swf. Is so strong

While I firmly believe Solo and Team Ques should be different, I don't think I would suggest Lobby dodging as a solution. For the time being, at least, we are stuck with the current situation. It is better simply to embrace the problem and take it on full throttle. I assure you, that you can face and fight a SWF. Will it be harder? Absolutely. Will it be sweaty? You bet your sweet patootie. It is also very satisfying to 3-4K them. The SWF (even the Tournament Squads) do have some weaknesses you can exploit.
- If you can mind game one, you have mind gamed all of them. They feed each other info constantly. If you get one to believe something, the others will be told what that Survivor believes.
- They are vulnerable to unconventional builds, like my favorite Spooky Myers (but he is just one). Anything which disrupts their flow of information is more effective against them. Stealth Killers, at least in my experience, all do well against a SWF if pains are taken to fully realize the stealth potential. This bears on my point about mind games.
- They tend to be really altruistic, more than is advised. This means you can turn any Survivor you down into a very lucrative honey-pot. They will milk hooks for maximum time on Generators, but they will come for that person too. Remember, these guys are friends and have the expectation that they are all going to try to get everyone out. *This is NOT true of Tournament Squads, however, so I'll talk about them next.
A Tournament Squad is a bunch of cold, calculating fish that only measure success by the overall win. Each member is ready, willing, and able to sacrifice the rest. None of them have a problem with dying in the match and if they think it is heading that way are going to do their level best to make sure that the sacrifice gets everyone else out. You cannot count on altruism with these Squads. They don't care about individual success, only the team. So don't bet on altruism like a normal SWF.
Getting back to my original point, I want to stress that since we don't know if or when Solo and SWF will ever be in their own Ques, you are going to be facing an ever increasing number of SWF. Studying Lobbies might give you a clue or it might not. I think you will be better served just getting better to kill them regardless.

I do it all the time. Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose. I mostly win. Stop acting like SWF's are the reason you lose. More times than not, it's because you didn't play well.

Well you can only play so well against SWF. They're capitalizing on every right or wrong move you make, whether you like it or not. You can go into specifics about countering SWF, but all it really boils down to is "Play harder". And I play my hardest regardless, and when that's not enough and I lose I get pissed off. I'm not going to waste my time getting pissed off, because I'd much rather have fun while I'm playing this game.

Just stop - all you're attempting to do is create excuses for your loss.
99% of SWFs, even 4 mans, are LITERALLY just shooting the proverbial ######### with their friends. They aren't 4 man death squads. I'm not saying those squads don't exist, cause they do, and it's literally 1 out of every 40 to 50 games. Unless somehow, you're being funneled all the death squads via matchmaking (which you're not, by the way).
If you are playing your "hardest", and all you can come up with is "well they must be SWF, that's why I'm losing" when other killers are mopping the floor with SWF squads literally every minute the game exists, the issue isn't the SWF squads you're facing. The issue is you. Period.
You really do just need to get better at the video game.

Okay there, bud. We call this "DSPGaming" syndrome. Where the person suffering it blames a loss in a game on everything and everyone else rather than their own skill, or lackthereof.
To be straight up - it is LITERALLY impossible that you, somehow, are the only one on planet earth being matchmade with that 1% of the community 100% of the time. Literally impossible.

This is not a question of my skill, like everyone makes it out to be. I get to rank 1 every season. I stay there, even with joke killers like Trapper. But there are some games I experience, at least a few times a day, that no player aside from a strong Nurse or Spirit could ever win. Maybe I could have won if I'd gone for the 4-man slug from start to finish, but how am I supposed to know ahead of time that's what's required?
Maybe I just play too fair for my own good. I hate getting hit by DS so I usually don't tunnel, but that's not good enough apparently because I can't stop the gens then. And there's no defending the gens with a low tier killer. Use Pop, Ruin, Corrupt or whatever you'd like, and SWF will blow through gens like your perks aren't even there. And people make it sound so easy when they say "Find the weak link." The weak link, in actual matches, never simply present themselves to you, and are usually carried by meta perks anyway.
So, I often find that my losses are due to things completely beyond my control, and that's the case when most red rank killers lose. Can I improve? Sure, but not by much. The game simply isn't balanced for good killers to win like they should. It's balanced around clueless, casual survivors who buy the game and drop it after 3 months.

You LITERALLY are trying to say that all you get are 4 man death squads. That's literally what you're saying, and you're trying to pawn it off as your reason for losing games against 4 man SWFs, when it's not. This is absolutely a question of your skill.

I never said that. I go against top % sometimes, and other times they're not that good but they carried by gen rush. Never said I go against that all the time, especially since my post is about lobby dodging those teams.

A few times a day? I haven't had a game like that in months. Almost every time I get pummeled it's because I did something stupid and lost the game due to my own error. If it's happening a few times a day it may be a you problem and not a SWF problem.

It can be 1 gen done each minute. I'd say the cut-off time where it stops being gen rush is, say, 5 gens in 7 minutes. I say that because chases are like 20-30 seconds minimum. But then there's also stuff like the game lasting longer, but the last 2 or 3 gens all pop within 45 seconds. If at least 1 person is on a gen at any time, it's pretty easy to pull off gen rush. You could also call it gen rush if you have stuff like Corrupt or Ruin and the gen speed is just as quick as without those perks.

That's not genrushing. That's just you not applying any map pressure.
Genrushing has one meaning, and one meaning only. All survivors, split on seperate gens, from the very beginning, and 2-3 gens popping by the time you down your first survivor. That is a genrush. Survivors "doing gens fast" is not genrushing. They're just doing their only objective because the killer isn't pressuring them off generators.
So yes, this is a question of your skill, and also your knowledge on the game itself.

There's a difference between belittling, and telling you you're wrong. The fact that you pull out the victim card tells me that you know, deep down, that I'm right.
There is nothing belittling about telling someone they need to get better at something in order to DO better at said thing.

If I see more than one flashlight. Or a team with multiple items ( three toolboxes, a key and two flashlights) I'm out. I know that team is probably sandbagging and I avoid.

Maybe not, but it sure has a lot to do with playstyle. It took me maybe two nights playing with it before I turned it off because killers were really campy and survivors were really crouchy.

I want to play a full game not a half one

It isn't always hard to go against a 4 man swf.
Last week I've been against a 4 man swf on comms, 3 keys, map offering and hatch offering.
I played as ghostface that round and they only got 1 gen done, got a 3k only because I forgot the last 1 had dead hard and thus got the hatch.
Didn't camp, didn't tunnel, I just got into their heads instead of them in mine 😜
But yeah i agree there are some swf who genuinely make gen rush build and fly trough gens as if they are nothing.
They got to 1 gen and i almost gave up.
Then all came to 1 gen and ive put on my try hard pants 😬
Decided the only thing left for me is to slugh them.
But yeah kinda suspect at least 1 had unbreakable.
Turns out all 4 had unbreakable so it was a lost game.
I only dodge lobby when I see people from a certain region.
They always have terrible connection and those games are nowhere fun tbh.
You can hug them before the hot and it still doesn't register

A lot of people have the mentality of "oh these people are playing together? I've already lost". Always found that weird. It's like you're giving yourself permission to play badly because you think you can blame it on the game (don't get me wrong you can pin some of the blame on the game being BS because it is sometimes, but you can't blame SWF for the loss. Map RNG is probably the one thing you can still blame imo)

Respecfully i want to say that you read like you are a competetive player but you also want easy games. I dont blame you in first place for that, because thats the way you enjoy the game. But let me ask you something please (and maybe you ask yourself the same):
Whats the point of dodging a challange?
I know, loosing can be painful but we all know that even a Trapper can stomp good teams, even 4-man squads that work well together. But you have to be really good with him. Why did you stop trying to become good? I always have in mind that there are players who can manage it, so its not impossible, its just me beeing not at that level yet.
Note: This is not a "git good" posting or a try to blame you, i just want to know.

But on the other hand, good on them for accepting the SWF challenge in the first place. There have been plenty of matches where the survivors look like an SWF, smell like an SWF, they have a key, they play a Haddonfield offering, and I THINK I am guaranteed to lose.
And then I do lose.

In the OP, @danielmaster87 said that playing solos was too easy and SWF was too hard. I don't think he WANTS to dodge the harder games, but from around rank 10, killers often have to verse full red rank SWFs - A complete mismatch.
