Player Skill Level
I have question about the general skill level of the low level players.
I’m a level 17 at killer, and I can generally get two to three kills a game. While I don’t win every game, I can at least injury most, if not all of the survivors I play against.
But the other day I played a game against low level survivors that seemed to be a much higher skill level. I couldn’t get a single hit, they beat at everything without any trouble.
I was expecting them to be a much higher rank, and was surprised to see all four survivors were in my rank.
Playing against them wasn’t particularly fun, and there was no way it was challenging for them. If this team was so much better than everyone else I’ve played against, how are they in my rank? Is there something about the ranks I don’t understand?

Prob either alt accounts or they haven't played for a few months so their ranks have reset multiple times.

Okay, rank resets make sense. One of the players had the shiny legacy outfits, which I’ve never seen at my level.
What would be the point of an alt account?

Smurfing or using an alt account is to play at a lower skill level for easier games.

What Ghalam said. On top of that, I've been seeing more and more padded SWFs having reds/purples with one smurf account to get lower level killers. That's not fun and discourages new killers.
There will be plenty of games where it feels like you have no control over the trial. Whether intentional or not, survivors are the power role, just not every team is SWF Team 6 and make mistakes so the killer CAN get them.
