Weaselly Tricks impossible

So, I have been playing the clown trying to get my last challenge completed which is weaselly tricks, but no matter how many times I break a gen and hook a survivor, it won't let me beat the challenge. Some people say you don't have to have pop the weasel active while breaking gens but I have tried everything, including hooking survivors and then breaking gens 8 times but nothing. Anyone else having problems?

    You don't have to have PGTW active, best way to get this challenge done is combo PGTW with Surveillance and just camp one gen.

    well I have literally broken at least 10 gens in a game with Pop and it never ever says challenge completed. I still don't know what I am doing wrong.
