Essential solo queue survivor perks?
I don’t have anyone to play DbD with so I’m aways solo queuing. I don’t mind it but it is difficult and at times frustrating. The highest I’ve reached was green ranks, I did hit purple once but quickly deranked. I’m now rank 16 since I took a break when the Descend Beyond Chapter released. What would you say are the absolutely necessary perks for solo queue survivors? The one perk I use a lot is kindred. What are some others you suggest I use? Also, I don’t use DS as I don’t have it unlocked.

Kindred, Bond, Iron Will, an exhaustion perk, detective's hunch/small game are all useful solo queue perks.
The biggest one is Kindred as it gives you information on the killer, where your team mates are, what gens they are working on, if you don't need to bother going for the save, etc. It also gives your team information when you're hooked.

Kindred is the most important but I like to run Bond and Open Handed with it, insane levels of info.

Since you have kindred I'd also suggest spine chill so stealth killers can't sneak up on you as easily.
Also you can never go wrong with "We are Gonna Live Forever"(BP and insane anti slug), "Dead Hard"(Its easiest to use free exhaustion) or "We'll make it"(90 seconds of X2 speed healing is insane) for solo as healing and an exhaustion perk that's free for everyone.

Kindred and/or Aftercare are really good for solo queue. They give both you and others information, which helps everyone make good decisions and be more efficient.

I recommend Spine Chill and Sprint Burst with the other two being at your discretion. Hope this helps!

I rarely use exhaustion perks, I might start adding Sprint Burst to my build. How is Detective’s Hunch a useful solo perk? I’m not disagreeing, I’m just genuinely asking since I don’t have that perk and want to know more if it’s worth getting and leveling up that survivor.

Spine Chill and Kindred are amazing solo queen perks. (based on my experience)

I didn’t know We are Gonna Live Forever can be used as an anti slug. How?

See, I usually say, solo survivor should always bring DS, bond/kindred, exhaustion perk, and perk of choice.
It is not fun to get tunneled instantly when there is no obsession.
But since no DS unlocked for you, any obsession perk except OoO or you will get tunneled.

It gives double healing speed to downed teammates.
It might not help you unslug yourself however it will help dramatically against killers who either choose to slug(Like lether face) or are forced to slug to get the most out of their power(Michael/Oni/Plague/Twins).
To give an example: Against the twins if they down a survivor with victor then you Punt Victor during his vunerability you can pick up your teammate before victor can even respawn and become active again.

An Obsession Perk, my choice is Blood Pact because it helps with finding heals. But anything works. You never want a game without an Obsession in solo queue.

Detective's Hunch becomes absolutely amazing when paired with a Rainbow Map + Crystal Bead add-on as, you can reveal everything it shows you to your whole team. This can be multiplied even further with Deja Vu which allows you to show your teammates the generators they need to be wary of to not be 3-genned.
Otherwise Detective's Hunch on its own will help you find totems more easily if you're going to be the designated cleanser which isn't a bad idea in solo Q.
Anyways, my personal input is to be careful in not going too hyper altruistic with solo queue. You may end up putting yourself in more danger than intended and the people you save might leave you for dead without a second thought which feels terrible. Additionally, killers can very easily take advantage of altruism so you need to be careful. When it comes to support / strategies I like to tell people what I plan on running in the pre game lobby chat so that they know my game plan / perks and can bring their own stuff based on that. It also helps to tell the others that you're bringing Kindred since only one player really needs it and if all 4 bring it that's 3 wasted survivor perk slots.
Now, with all that said my personal favorites for solo queue are:
Kindred - Amazing information for entire team.
We'll Make It - The healing boost to teammates after unhooking is AMAZING and lasts for a very long time. It also refreshes after any unhook.
Spine Chill - A bit of a selfish perk but I use it with We'll Make It for safe unhooks and in some cases, to heal them right back up under the hook if the killer is far away. If Spine Chill lights up I usually still finish the heal and take a protection hit if need be.
Botany Knowledge / Self Care - I don't have a lot of very good perks still as I've only had the game a few months and the grind is painful but I tend to bring medkits, both to heal myself and others. These two perks help with their efficiency and I find that getting as many heals out of a medkit as possible is great as, if you ever heal teammate, healing them as fast as possible is the best thing you can do and medkits / botany knowledge helps with that.

Detective's Hunch will highlight totems, gens, chests, hooks, etc for a certain range after every generator is completed. Ruin and Undying are meta right now and I can't tell you how many matches as a solo where the other survivors don't do totems. It'll also help you memorize the totem spawns so once you know where they spawn, you can swap them out for a different perk. Plus, cleanse all totems and you also prevent NOED if the killer has it.

Don't use kindred lol, I try using it be I still reach struggle phase on first hook or die all together since your teammates can be stupid.
Instead use any exhaustion perk, ds, spine chill, inner strength, bond or even detective's/small game they can help out a lot more

Here's my build, not god tier by any means but I recommend you try it sometime:)
Inner Strengh
Detective's Hunch
Kindred
Various perks go here...but it's mostly BT or Prove thyself
I run a DH and Inner combo because...lets face it as much as I love you random cuties some are more reliable than others. This combo allows you too stay Healed as most teammates won't bother with totems unless theres a hex. Or if they're a P3 claud. Running this combo also allows you to counter the Ruin&Undying Meta, only giving the Killer to perks to work with.
I run Kindred for the same reason as everyone else. INFORMATION. Its so important especially in solo q, knowing what your team are doing helps you make critical choices, such as debating saving your ally or focusing Gens. And even if you're the one hanging around the info can help your team.
The last perk is always a coin toss, what perk I run in slot 4 often varies, if I'm getting tunneled game after game I'll run DS, if I notice there's an increase in Freddy players I'll run Small game to counter his traps. However I'll often just end up running Bt or prove thyself to make saves safer andget gens to pop just a lil quicker...
Good luck in the fog, I'm also a solo q player and at times it's very frustrating.

Kindred is the only essential one.
As long as you learn to do gens efficiently(don't 3gen, knowing when to do a gen instead of heal/save people/etc.) and do well in chases, you will escape and rank up. Don't even need DLC perks.
I can escape around 60-70% of my games at red rank with a build like Kindred/Small Game/Spine Chill/+Iron will or something.

I am a big fan of Empathy or Kindred. Kindred is generally more useful, but empathy is better if you plan to save teammates or heal them or such.

I am of the opinion that at least one aura reading perk is essential.

Spine Chill, Bond, Kindred, and Lithe serve me very well, into red ranks. Your mileage may vary with exhaustion perks, but those other three give you a whole lot of good feedback on what's happening.
As far as not having anyone to play with: What platform are you playing on? Have you tried the Looking for Players subforum?

Self Care; Decisive Strike and Kindred IMO

Thank you so much for the helpful advice and information. Also, it never occurred to me to ask my teammates pre-game if they have perks like kindred or not, I’ll def start doing that because it really is a waste. This makes me wish console players also had access to the chat box. It also makes me wonder why we can’t see other teammates’ perks before the match begins.
