Is Prove Thyself in the meta?
Just had a game were it would've been 4k but 2k since Prove Thyself blasted through the last gen. So should prove thyself be considered meta?

I'd 100% consider it meta.

No its not meta. But its a good perk. The problem is it doesnt stack, so if several people run it and are working on the same gen you dont get extra benefit. But if you are more of a passive player that focuses on generators other than engaging the killer its a very good perk. You not only get the gen done faster, but also the points and pips (emblem).

No it isn't.. because you shouldn't be teaming up on gens unless its absolutely necessary.

You should always team up on a gen when possible... The time you lose by splitting up and looking for another gen is nothing compared to the debuff. A gen that is fully completed can´t regress anymore. I see so many lost matches because people are splitting up on gens, especially in the end game, resulting in all getting killed. Whenever you see a match getting lost on the last gen, thats the result of constantly splitting up for no reason basically.

Nope,it just saves you 6 seconds if you repair with someone else (from 46 seconds down to 40).
It's bad

It may not stack with another Prove Thyself, but it would make a potent combo with resilience.

Thats the time bonus for EVERY gen you do, if you are focused on gens you do multiple gens a match... And thats just for 1 perk slot...
For 1 perk slot out of 16 survivor perk slots thats pretty strong.

You generally are supposed to split up on gens most of the time to make it harder for the killer to pressure you.
If 3 survivors are working on a gen and the killer comes to you then that's easy pressure for him because he was able to interrupt 3 survivor from staying on gens.
But yeah, there definetely are also times were working together on a gem would be a better idea.

You won't be able to do the majority of the gens in your games though (especially with another survivor).
And you are giving up a perk slot that could be Unbreakable,Decisive Strike,Adrenaline etc.

I’ll take Prove Thyself over DS any day. At least it is usable more than once. The perks you mention are really only useful for an offensive playstyle and a lot of us don’t play with direct confrontation in mind.

You say that like 6 seconds can't be game changing in a match.
1 -
Really. I couldn’t even tell you how many times that I’ve been half a second away from gen completion only to have the killer come and muck it all up. It happens a lot.

Really depends on how people are using it. It's good but not great if you're just using it to use it early game without any thought. It's best used with a lot of coordination to break up potential 3 gens quickly or to blast specific gens while someone runs the killer to the other end. We take two Proves or two Camaraderies depending on the map.

It definetely can but i feel other perks have more impact and are also consistent

I just listed a few perks.
There are other less "agressive" perks like Spine Chill,Bond,We'll Make It etc. that i feel like they have a higher impact than Prove Thyself.
But ultimately it's just up to your playstyle.I think this perk isn't really THAT good but i'm not gonna tell you which perks you should use or not.

It's a part of a rotation of good and strong perks
6-7 perks are in this rotation
