How to incentivize people to use unpopular killers!
Almost every match we see the same killers again and again...why not incentivize players to choose other killers by having something like ''clown/Plague/Demogorgon weekends, earn x2 blood points when playing with the characters for that weekend''
It will get killer mains to play other killers that normally don't see much play thus bringing some diversity to matches and could even incentivize some survivor mains to start playing killers (rising the low killer population just a bit) with the reward of speeding up BP grinding? why not?

...or incentivize them by making the killers more fulfilling to play?
cough revisit the Nurse fun-nerf (which was worthless for reducing oppressiveness) cough

Blood points doesnt matter when you still get so little because in red ranks games are done in 5 minutes. Those weaker killers aren't played as much because with killers already at a disadvantage you are shooting yourself in the foot even more.

tbf clown is kinda popular, despite he being so bad u can se him quite often... at least on my region.

games are done in 5 minutes if u have a very bad build and also dont even know how to play the game. in top of that a good 4 man and map, im a rank 1 killer barely ever lose a match, most survivors are boosted, only 4 man swf with mics are a problem (if they are good), other than that, the game is balanced with pretty much any killer. (if u are a decent killer and know how to play the game and with a good build)

Dind't really intend for this to be for red ranks that much, those guys try to protect their rank more than they are willing to have fun with the game which purpose is to have fun for some reason but still will help a little at least with lower ranks who seem to be the problem with low ranked killers population being really low already...

That would be the ideal scenario but it's only wishful thinking, waiting for the devs to balance every single character to make them all fullfiling to play will take years, this is basically like blood lust, a band aid solution while the long term solution can arrive but can help even a little bit in the mean time.

Sweat squads would have a field day with this

I mean, most killers that are decent had to come to grips with hard losses to get good, so for the most part they don't mind losing.
What happens though is they play lower tier killers and don't just lose they get bullied so they stop playing them and go back to their spirits and their freddy's and such.
When I say bullied I mean they get teabagged, pointed at and toyed with, chain stunned and so on, survivors diddle around end game because they know they can and do stuff and don't leave till the last very second even when they are doing nothing but running circles in the exit gate, they get told how much they suck in the post game chat or worse condescended on and such.....
All of that happens; and they are like "well that doesn't happen when I play ____ killer" and so they go back to that killer.
People don't actually want to play against those killers for fun or variety, they want to play against them to win or to bully them, at least a lot do; enough that it incentivizes this problem.
tldr; if you want to see more of those other killers, be nice to them post game chat, encourage them, and don't go out of your way trying to tilt them and mocking them. If it's clear they are struggling you don't have to by any means throw the match, but not swarming them and chain blinding them because you know they don't know how to deal with that, and trying to farm them for points- is going to help prevent discouraging them from that killer or even the whole role; because all you get out of it is longer survivor queue times and more Freddy's and Spirits from people who are now graded and don't care about what you think at all.

If you feel you can't do it then don't do it, the option would be there for those bold enough to take the challenge if they want to get some additional blood points, it's not like it's gonna be a forced thing, you can keep spamming your strong killers if you feel like you can't do it and other people can try it if they want...

Personally I don't think the problem is people not wanting to play new killers. In my experience its just difficult to properly learn a new killer at high ranks without getting destroyed. I think this would be an interesting question if this problem persists after killer mmr is introduced.

Five minute matches is probably bad mechanics and poor decisions.

Pretty much agree with that, If people feel like survivors are ''gen rushing'' is probably because the killer failed to pressure them, the lenght of the game depends on both sides survivors and killers but a skilled killer can change the game flow as he wishes if they pressure enough...

They already have this (somewhat) implemented with daily rituals and tomes (I got destroyed with hillbilly but at least got the quests and helped me get some blood points) also when they try to incentivize you to play huntress or wraith with a daily ritual.
Personally I've seen people who don't mind doing them just for the blood points, but we talking low ranks of course since red ranks don't really care that much about blood points so it would be an option for new players who want to get blood points (I do rituals for blood point since I'm kinda new myself) but of course it wouldn't be forced, the option would be there if people want to take it.

I agree with this on so many levels. I only play survivor. I find playing killer hard for me anyways. And it’s so true, I see so many survivors taunting the killers if they are obviously new or having a bad match, and it makes me feel so bad.
