Sprint burst

I feel like the perk is a little cheap because it doesn't even have an activation requirement and since you can 99% it most of the times it's pretty much available when you want it, I feel like to make it a little bit more balanced all perks should have activation requirements kinda like balanced landing requiring you to fall first before you can get a speed boost. Thoughts?

The perk basically forces you to walk everywhere to use effectively. And if you 99 it then you can't do any stationary action such as dropping a pallet or working on a gen without getting it to 100%.

    Eh it's balanced imo

At the start of the match, you have Sprint burst ready so you have 2 options

    1) run to gen and have a 40-second cooldown risking getting found by the killer in the early game and now you have no exhaust unless you manage to walk a lot mid chase. Or walk and save sprint burst which can waste a lot of time.

It's definitely the best of the Haste exhaustion perks (not counting adrenaline, since it's very different), but I think that more comes down to the others sucking. Lithe is alright since it gives you more control, but SB is still generally a lot better since you can activate it at any time. Balanced Landing just sucks. It's literally useless on a not-insignificant number of maps, and is very situational on most maps that it does have usage on. Quite unfortunate.

Most of the times you spawn right next to a gen anyways...

Yeah who runs around with it at 99? If anyone does that's a stupid move. The balance comes from walking everywhere like you said. It can be a huge detriment to the team if you're tactical in choosing when to run.

The thing about 99-ing sprintburst is that it requires quite a bit of skill, and even then, you can't always preserve it. It's the same idea as the nurse; it takes skill and is sometimes plain unworkable, but offers a greater reward.

Another thing to consider is that the other exhaustion perks have some sort of niche or added bonus to complement. Balanced landing will remove the stagger and grunt, in addition to the 150% speed. Lithe has built-in benefit in that 1) it's easy to activate responsibly 2) a window will guarantee that the killer will be behind, having to either vault or spend time going around the wall. Dead hard offers great accessibility and a guaranteed escape from a hit, in return for reduced ground gained per second (if dedicated servers wouldn't result in me being just dead hard). Head on makes up for lacking in-game reward with a considerable reward to your own ego and enjoyment. Sprintburst, most times, is difficult to preserve and activate properly, requiring quite a bit of skill. I could make 20 montages off of survivors getting smacked while trying to use an improperly timed 99'd sprintburst, but barely a few reels of it being of actual use.

Sprint burst is strong but not OP, if you want to talk about a borderline broken exhaustion perk then Dead hard is the place to be. Sprint burst has punishment to it and takes skill and a lot of planning to 99 it properly

It does have an activation requirement though: not being exhausted. It's one of the most risky yet rewarding perks in the game. Any killer worth their salt will only be fooled by it once in a trial - if at all.

I have ran them all... and balanced landing is quickly becoming my favourite. Mind gaming hills wastes the killers time. They have to commit to the hill, and you can drop and get your burst.

BL can definitely work out really well if you play into it hard, but on some maps that literally isn't an option or is so situational (you have to play around like, one specific area in the map and it does nothing elsewhere) that it's sometime hard to justify bringing compared to the others unless you also play a map offering. I think it could do with a minor buff of having the reduced landing stun stuff apply even when exhausted.

Being exhausted is every exhaustion's perk cooldown not it's activation requirement #########

Ok... it’s activation requirement is sprinting while not exhausted! Better?

That’s the risk of Sprint Burst: not having it readily available at all times. Anyone who walks around with Sprint Burst is a clown survivor and detriment to their team.
