Embarrassing Behavior (TTV Hall of Shame)

So I'm not going to name names, because it is against the rules. I just finished a match with Spooky Myers on Midwich against a group of Survivors that included a Rank-2 TTV Survivor. There was another Red Rank and some other solid Ranks too. The important thing here is the TTV was a Claudette and sacrificed herself near the start of the match on the hook. Right after another Claudette did the same. I got the impression they were part of a 2-Person SWF. Apparently, they didn't mind looking like selfish jerks on whatever misbegotten stream.

So once again, I decide to let the remaining two farm and get what points they can. Dwight and Cheryl, I feel bad you got stuck with those losers. Seriously, how can a Red Rank Survivor kill themselves on their VERY FIRST hook when not a single Generator has been done. What kind of bad sport does that to the other three Survivors? I can only imagine you only got to your Rank by riding on the coattails of real players.

Prior to that game, I had ANOTHER TTV crew. They decided to swap to keys at the last possible moment. It is a scummy move to be sure. They also picked Cold Wind Farms for my Spooky. These sketchy types at least had the GUTS to fight me to the bitter end. So to that Bill, Yui, Claudette, and a Feng I think. If you are going to bring keys, do it up front. However, I commend you on at least fighting the good fight. I would have given one of you the hatch but with the Key switcharoo nonsense, I always 4K.

These sorts of stories are why I follow Spook N Jukes on Youtube.

Well, I will if/when his Power is more consistent. I've dabbled in him as I have most of the other Killers of late, and I don't like that some people can stare me right in the eyes and NOT knock me out of Nightshroud while others seem to bump me out with their peripheral vision sometimes. It seems kind of unfair.

Myers at least always works the same way. :)

I once went in to save a ttv on the hook and crouched near them because their pal was running the killer around the hook... I don't have BT so I had to wait and they got so mad at me for it. At the end he went to my name on the list and shouted "IT'S ALWAYS CONSOLE PLAYERS THAT PISS ME OFF THE MOST!!!!!!" and I felt so bad... My build is seen as one of those weak survivor ones but having so many people assume my style off of someone's TTV clips or from one match makes me so anxious! But yes, some TTVs and red ranks DC or suicide wayyyy too early! I'll never understand that :(

People seem to assume the worst from others I suppose. Waiting with the unhook until it's safe is always the best move, even more so if you didn't bring borrowed time. You'd think a streamer would understand this, or at least speculate, rather than flaming you. It's the same when people start trying to unhook themselves when no one is comming for the rescue the very moment they end up hanging. Let's forget the fact that everyone might be working on a generator which might be finished soon.

On a different note: Was looping a doctor pretty well, he dced when two gens popped. He was also a streamer apparently, such a shame x)

It’s never a valid reason to ditch everyone else though (killer included). You should play on in those matches you’ve given the reasons for leaving early from... be surprised how much fun they can actually be.

At least you could say that you didn’t give up

People get offended way too much and make too many assumptions in DBD. I´m so sorry, this guy sounds very rude. Don´t worry about what it may look like in a short twitch clip, there is almost no one who plays esports level DBD at any waking second lol.

Also, hope you will be spending a nice new years eve! You too @Moundshroud !

To be fair, it was a 3v1 at this point already. With probably 5 Gens to go, the game is over, so I would not really blame the streamer for suiciding in a game which is already lost.

The Streamer suicided first before anyone else. I'll have to go back and reread and see if I wrote that wrong.

"Right after another Claudette did the same."

That reads for me like the other Claudette did it first, but can also mean that the Streamer did it first. If the latter one, fair enough, they should not do that. But if someone else already killed themselves on Hook and it is a 3v1 with 5 Gens, I would not blame anyone who gives up afterwards.

I think they have made it too easy for survivor just to give up and mess with rest of the team. I've seen several survivors who die on first hook if they mess up early while looping before even touching a single generator. Imagine if killers had equivalent way to end matches if he didn't like certain map, lost 3 generators early etc then everyone would just cherry pick matches that would give them strong edge.

A 15 minute hit and run Myers game on Midwich isn't exactly riveting. They probably didn't want to play that match. Not everything is a deep reflection of character.

Actually it is a deep reflection of their character. If you are right, it reflects VERY BADLY on them. It means that they went "Eh... not for me," and immediately bailed on the other Survivors leaving them to rot, wasting their time and offerings, and leaving them to achieve an impossible task. That kind of spoiled, selfish mindset is exactly what we are talking about here.

Imagine if the Killer was also given an easy, early out option. Imagine the irritation of four Survivors all of whom put stuff which is now wasted and their time and progress halted when I take a look, go "Eh... don't like Crotus Prenn" and exit via the Killer Shacks new "Killer Hatch". Instantly all people are kicked from the match, given a 650 point Quitter bonus. That's it. :) I can't imagine it would be very popular if Killers only took matches that appealed to them.

The same holds true for Survivors. If you start a match, have the decency to finish it. Suicide on the hook is better than a disconnect, but let's be honest, it isn't by much. When done in a way that is early and screws over the other Survivors it is just as bad, if not worse. By the time you check out that way you have already invested them in the game and stolen more of their time before hanging them out to dry.

It's really not that deep, but ok. I just move on to the next one and probably forget about it within a day or so. It's a pub match. Everyone chill.
