Hatch should not spawn at 5 gens
Why should it? You deserve death for not doing gens, let alone 1. If a single gen isn't completed and there's one survivor left, their aura should be shown so they die or just let the entity kill them.

Unless the survivors were trolling, 3 dead at 5 gens means a total matchmaking fail. That's the real issue. Take your win and move on. You already got an easy game as is. No need to drag it out into a meaningless hide and seek as it used to before they changed the hatch spawn condition.
Not to mention that the survivors aren't a team, but 4 individuals who can decide to coop or not. No need to punish the last one alive.

A bit harsh if you're solo Qing and your 3 teammates threw and just killed themselves on hook.

This. It's not my fault as a solo player that my team suicided on hook or totally sucked. I'm already being punished anyway for low BP gains, why should I be punished even more?

Before hatch always spawned when there was one survivor left it was really easy for the last survivor to hold the game hostage unless you had whispers. I'd rather it stay.

Why stop there? Why not make the auras visible 100% of the time? Better yet, change the game to remove the 4th survivor all together? They clearly don't count as a player and should just give the killer a free kill anyway.
But then... why should the third keep playing? The first two died, so they should just give themselves up. Guess they gotta get permanent removed, too.

It's there for when your teammates suck or just suicide on hook. That's not your fault at all if the matchmaking screwed up or the Survivors couldn't easily bully the Killer.

Hatch isn't a free escape. I need to find it. The killer can also find it. And once the killer finds it, there's a 90% chance the survivor doesnt have time to open one of the gates. Are you new to the game?

I'm all for getting rid of the hatch altogether.
Maybe, then, when there are two of us left. The other guy might actually help me work on the last genny.
Just make it so gates are powered when there's one survivor left.

If there's one person left alive yes it should spawn with five gens. at that you've played well enough and have the win. Not mention you can still close it and get points. That argument just sounds petty and arrogant.

ok let's say you have a 1/2 chance of a free escape which is reasonable if so you get a free esc if not i close hatch and thus more rng happens in gate spawns sometimes in hawkins case being fixed literally the entire map away.
in reality you have a 1/2 chance as well as the gates rng
also what do you mean not enough time? a gate takes 15-20 seconds to open out of your 120 seconds and at worst you're going to have to run 40 seconds to one gate.
in any case you have an average 50% chance to escape twice.
We're not even factoring in keys or other perks that are specifically for letting the last surv esc.
this is gone off to a side anyway because no matter how you look at it you have multiple chances for a free escape for doing nothing is not something that should exist.
Try and argue back and you're literally saying you deserve a free escape when you already have such an incredibly high chance as the last surv.
i couldn't tell you how many times i've not lsugged cuz of the magical surv rulebook and than been cheated of a kill, becuase of rng.
I'm not even saying delete hatch make the game 100% killer sided all 4 survs should start on the hook ect ect
I'm just saying having 25% of the killers main objective be 60% or so rng is not good design, very lazy and deserving of criticism and tweaking.

Exactly this. I've literally gone into a match once before and because it was a Freddy, the other 3 insta-DC'ed. The killer was decent though and let me do gens enough to get points and try safety pip but the fact stands solo shouldn't be punished because others are potatoes or leave you screwed over.

You aren’t entitled to a 4K just like how survivors aren’t entitled to an escape.
So many killers feel like they lost when you killed 3 members of the team, like bruh you won, just take your W and move on.
That is like me saying “It’s not fair that my team didn’t escape because the killer robbed their lives from them”
Many solo survivors have had the same annoying story about how their teammates are complete dog at the game, and they end up dying before 1 gen is completed, they deserve a chance to escape after their teammates screwed them over.
And I don’t mean to burst your bubble or anything but, sometimes the reason you get 3k before a gen gets popped was because the survivors were babies, or just bad, not because you were good. Same goes for survivors, just because you escaped doesn’t mean you are good.

A killer isn't entitled to a 4K when they fail. They're faster and have unlimited tracking advantages. If a single survivor manages to escape against that then they deserve their escape. Killers are against FOUR survivors, not a 'team, not three and a free kill. FOUR.

Scratch marks, crows, on top of perks like whispers, strider, and spies. Not to mention perks that help you see injured survivors and blood trails.. Do you even play killer?

I believe the hatch spawning at 5 gens left is partially there to prevent hostage situations where the last survivor could simply hide around the map waiting for the killer to give up and DC. We already see this happen sometimes at 2 survivors left.
Insta-downing someone with Clown's Pinky Finger, having 3 survivors DC, last one yeets into the hatch, and getting a depip for my troubles does annoy me however.

It should spawn at 5 gens so there's actually a game to keep playing and the survivor doesn't just end up suiciding themselves or hiding for an hour.

Killer terror radius, spine chill, premonition,crows,keys allowing you to see where the killer is, object of obsession,swf on comms all give the you a advantage. See what I did there? Do you even play survivor? Maybe at a low skill level because fengs most of the time are trash

I hate that too, but that's an Emblem problem (which hopefully will be fixed soon, unless the devs just remove Emblems entirely because of MMR). You don't even need three DCs. If two DC, you kill one, and the last one escapes, you'll depip. I had a game about a week ago where that exact situation almost happened. Two DCed at the start of the match and two dead but I barely got a safety pip in red ranks. I was playing Freddy, so no instadowns or damaging powers. It was all M1 hits. All I could think of was "Holy #########, these Emblems suck." It isn't even a Freddy exclusive thing before anyone gives me that, it could happen to any of the Killers.
