Hatch buff
Last 2 weeks whenever it's just me the hatch spawns literally right next to me, when it was a random on hook hatch spawned next to him on hook, some hidden buff? Cause it's kinda ass it spawns on survivors doesn't give killer a chance to close it, and I faced good killers so that's a bummer, I got around 5-6 escapes like that in last few days...

I've wondered about the mechanics of that myself. More times than naught, the hatch will spawn near, or even right below, the survivor.

The spawn of the hatch is set from the very start of the game, it's just invisible (as far as I know.) When it meets its requirements, it appears. The only way to affect that is the blueprints now.
So in those cases, they're just really lucky. I've had just as many times the hatch spawning underneath me (as either Surv or Killer) and had just as many times where we spend five minutes looking around for it.

Maybe an anecdotal issue? I have never taken notice of the hatch spawning next to me in my ~60 (edit: 100!) hrs as a weekend survivor main, nor when doing killer dailies. I have taken note that it is a PITA to find when I need it or the killer finds it first and slams it shut to be toxic.

The location of where the hatch spawns is set during the loading phase of the entire map....it's purely luck that it's been right next to you when the last person has died.

Nah its just luck, I cant remember the last time I saw the Hatch spawming right next to me.

I see, we've been incredibly lucky lately then as survivors... But definitely noticed it happen almost every match as last survivor or just as it spawns
