Survivors are, collectively as a whole, idiots.
We all have that one game where our teammate decides that urban evasion is the greatest gift to survivors and does nothing by crouch around. That one teammate, most likely, will cost you the entire game. This one act of stupidity screws over the rest of the team, leading to their deaths.
But when you get a team of competent individuals who know what they are doing and are facing against any non-top tier character, you are most likely going to win. Even if they are semi-competent, you could still squeeze out a win there too.
This creates what I like to refer to as the "Great Red Rank Divide". If you have a competent team, the killer is going to be in for a bad time. It doesn't help that many killers are reliant on survivor mistakes to use their ability. If you don't, the Killer will probably mob the floor with you.
That is why when I see the high kill rates I realize how badly there needs to be a training mode. Many survivors, myself included, manage to sneak into higher ranks without learning the skills we need to learn. We are idiots, not because of our own doing, but because we get pushed past our appropriate rank. It doesn't help either that Killers have so little time to work with that even a chase going on for a little too long can cost the killer the match, further pushing us out of our depth.
This combination of no real good training options and how easy it is to pip as a survivor leads to survivors, collectively, being idiots when it comes to many aspects of the game.

It's a fault of the emblem system along with the rank system. RN ranks denote time invested, not skill. Any one with a net positive pip to depip ratio will go up in ranks eventually. The solution to that is MMR.

So what happens when the idiots beat the killer?

I am not a good survivor at all, and I have beaten multiple killers. Mostly that is because the killer never capitalizes on the mistakes of the survivors or makes poor decisions. In other words, when a team of idiots beats a killer, that killer is probably also an idot.

You have seen nothing lol. Pay attention to what happens when new tome challenge come out.

This is why I don't trust their data. The killers with the highest kill rates. When I see that I don't assume "That killer is over performing". I ask "How good are the survivors that killer is going against?". It's one of those is he good or does everyone else suck?
Personally I think they need to revamp the entire ranking system.

I get depiped WAY more than piped- it's a constant fight to stay. If I get tunneled and out with only touching one gen I better kiss a pip good-bye. It has nothing to do with being a good player player don't come after me my loops are just fine thanks. The whole system is broken. I can fight tooth an claw but one fist hook that's camped or tunneled straight off it and rehooked not 10 seconds later? Nah, nah nah nah nah. All for nothing kiss that s*** good-bye ✌🏻

This is mostly due to survivor being very much harder than killer. If a survivor is not very experienced or confident, they have to resort to being stealthy to avoid the killer. A killer doesn't have this to worry about, they have perks to help slow the game down and tracking perks.

I am going to disagree with this one. This is less of a "killer is easier than survivor" problem and more of a "The Tutorial is bad" problem. If a survivor fails to realize how the game should be played, that is not on the killer balance, but on the tutorial for not teaching the survivors how to play.

heheheheheheheheheheh lol. I choked on my drink with that one.

You are right. I've invested a lot of time into this game. I look forward to red rank in hopes of good matches. But with the ranking system it is hard to do that. Much like you said, it is easy to rank up in any other rank. As long as you do a gen or 2, get a safe unhook and run the killer you are golden. But the second you hit red rank what was once a pip is now a safety pip and what was once a safety was a depip. The problem is this isn't explained to you in game so many continue with their "amazing" tactics like Urban Immersion around the map because it always pushes them up in rank, unaware that they are damaging the game for their team.
I think a training mode is a great idea! At the very least we need a more in depth tutorial. Teach survivors how to loop, teach them about each characters teachable perks (this could be an optional section), teach them about the status effects, teach them about how different actions payout different emblems, how it gets harder to rank up as you continue and FOR THE LOVE OF DEAR LORD make it known this is a team game. Everyone should be forced to go through those before they hop into public matches.

For me, survivor is way easier than killer. Thats why after the mori nerf i stopped playing killer, but my survival rate is up to 80+% (up from about 73%.
but that might be just a thing of personal preferences and playstyle.

Guys, survs pip only because they are killed so many times devs give them something so they won’t uninstall this game. You can’t change it

Things like:
- teammates going down instantly, as soon as the match starts, give or take a few seconds
- running killer for a long time, finally gets you and puts you on hook, only for you to realize not 1 of your teammates is doing anything other than slow walking or running around
- ' only for you to realize 2 of your mates are hiding in lockers while the other one is being chased
- reacting incredibly slowly to situations, for example saving someone on hook while killer is distracted w/ another chase, or healing someone up whose still in the dying state but was left there b/c killer got distracted w/ someone else
- teammates being blind to whats around them (like ghostface, jigsaw, or myers, who then proceed to get easy kills)
- not healing after safely unhooking
The matchmaking system is just really bad. I've been paired with r7,8,9 all the way to 18s when I'm a rank1 survivor. Getting to the scoreboard and realizing 'oh this makes so much more sense now' sucks when you did 3 gens, cleansed 2 hexes, safely unhooked x3 and still couldn't win b/c of bad survivor teammates. I really wish there was an MMR, so people could get punished more, and be in their appropriate games. Sadly I don't think that will ever come b/c these devs don't seem to care. If they haven't added it by now, fat chance they do so anytime soon.

God, I felt that in my soul. Especially the two locker mates. That is the worst.
