Why do survivors sit at exits?
Pretty plain question. Why just sit at the exit? Just trolling? Earning some points I don't know about? I mean I've started to just use the time to break pallets but I'm wondering if there's something I'm missing.

They claim it's to get a few extra chase points, but really, they're just flexing. If you know they're at the gates, go break some pallets. No need to feed into it.

Fair enough.

To be annoying, mainly. I have games where 1-0 gens get done and the last survivor still sits at the hatch waiting for me to witness them leave.

It depends... If I have a daily of being chased for 120 seconds and I'm not sure I was, I try to get some extra time close to the gates even if I die doing so. But... yeah, you get points for being chased just by escaping in front of the killer and survivors don't really get that many. If you have WGLF and there's someone next to you, you get a stack for a protection hit and so 25% more bloodpoints. I believe that's the reason. Besides if the killer hits you, they also get points, so it can be a good thing, if both sides didn't get the max points on these categories.

Some do it for their own extra points. Some do it to give points to the killer (free hits). Some do it to t-bag and be toxic. Some do it to heal teammates for altruism points.

There's a lot of reasons. I wait to see if I'm still needed. Some give the killers hits. Some do it for chase points. Some just like to BM.

It's all fun and games until the one time a gunslinger with noed quick shots them and pulls them off it.

As a killer, I appreciate the free hits and all, but I would just prefer if people left so I can get on with the next game. I do appreciate the consideration but the one or two extra hits doesn't add up to much. Better to just get around to the next game.

I do it just in case someone needs to be rescued from a hook or just in case blood warden will proc and keep me inside. I don't want to leave when I could be wanted.

I personally don't immediately leave in case anyone needs help, I stay there and if everyone else shows up I leave, if not then I stay to maybe take a protection hit from another survivor nearby that is trying to reach the exit or if they get hooked or something like that, the only reason for me to leave early is if I think the last guy is trying to get hatch...
2 -
For me it depends on thr situation. I definitely don't do it to be toxic, once I see all available survivors are safe I leave immediately.
I stay at the exit gates in order to let the killer force me out and waste time so that my team has time to go for saves, or get to the second exit gate.

Same reason killers drop survivors near hatch and then close it, or fake walk towards open doors and then hook, or let survivors bleed out while standing on top of them, it's a little more "entertainment" to some, which is fine.

Usually a flex, sometimes for extra chase points. But sometimes its to be nice and let the killer hit them one more time before they leave

Many players just stand there to boast, that's sadly a given. There are also other reasons such as letting killer get hits to get him some points or to waste his time while your teammates escape (<-- my reason usually).

If my team mates are still in there, I wait a little bit to see if someone gets hooked and I need to go back.
If not, I leave immediately.

Last time I play the Oni it was a free kill because of a player that forgot about the Oni power ( or underestimate it ) so... Please continue.

- Waiting for you to show up so they can teabag you.
- Waiting for you to show up to give you a free hit and more blood points. They doin' you a favor dude.
- Waiting just in case someone gets caught, so they can rescue.

I have a newbie friend that loves to tbag in the exit gates. It's definitely just to gloat, but in his defense, queue times are absurdly long at his rank so really it's just to enjoy a few more seconds in-game before having to endure the lobby simulator again. Try not to take it personally.

2 is not a favour, in that extra 30 seconds the KiIler could be in their next game making many more bloodpoints than a single hit gives.
2 -
You're one of those glass half empty guys right?
So now I ask you. Why do killers whack the survivor when they're on the hook? Surely in the 5 seconds it took them to whack and clean their knife they could have chased someone and gotten more bloodpoints.

Points. I run WGLF so the killer hitting us out gives me usually 2 stacks.

Because they love to teabag and rub their victory in the killer's face. Just break some pallets and don't go to the gate, deny them of a new clip to put in their EPIC Noob3 looping the baby killer highlights montage

Thats how it usually goes down...
Killer: Gets 60k+ bp for a 10-11 hook game and had to let somebody escape to kill the rest.
survivor on his final hook: makes noise at the exit gate to celebrate 11k points and a black pip. "Ez baby killer"
and than you get attacked for camping and tunneling all that... off the hooks in the future. ok.
"you are so mean if you tunnel, your ruin our fun"... Well yes, thats exactly what i want. :)

Hit me, daddy. And then I'll go.

Unfortunately people who are doing it to be nice and get everyone extra points are so overshadowed by people just being jerks that I've stopped going over to see.
It sucks because if someone has WGLF, an extra hit or two might be huge for their BP but too many people just mock you and then leave (not even giving you the courtesy of the tiny points for hitting them) that it's not worth it for me as a killer to go over and get figuratively slapped in the face 75% of the time.

Waiting for an injured teammate to come to heal them for points.
Waiting for the Killer to come to give hits and extra chase points.
Waiting for injured teammates with a Killer behind them to bodyblock.
Waiting injured for teammates so they can heal you for points.
Or just being a toxic piece of *CENSORED*

I don't play survivor much, but if I'm sitting at the exit gate it usually means that there's at least one teammate who I have zero clue where they are and I'm waiting to see if I need to go back in.

Most claim to give hits but most think they are the best survivors out there so they have the right to bm you.
I wanna say 100% of the time they just want to bm, there is no such thing as "nah bro I was just waiting"

For me, two reasons:
- i have a get-chased-daily and want to get some extra seconds
- I wait so all others get out too.
Thus, if i know all are safe that can be, i leave. No need to wast time.
That means if the killer comes to the gate, and one teammate is missing, i can still leave, because i know hes not in a chase.
(note that i play solo survivor, so i have no other way of knowing the situation of my teammates)

Mainly I wait at the exit until I know my other mates can get out. And if I dont Im gonna wait for the killer to force me out to see if they have NoeD, (if not revealed already) and waste as much time as possible.
0 -
I'll wait by the gate to buy my teammates more time by having the killer force me out, or waiting in case a teammate needs help. If I know everyone is safe I'll leave immediately.
0 -
I can only speak for myself, but as someone who plays solo, I wait to make sure nobody needs help/rescue. Someone might go down, I stick
around in case they need help. Once everybody is accounted for, then I'll leave. Even forcing the killer to chase you out can buy another
survivor time to open the other gate, get a hook rescue, etc.
0 -
9 times out of 10 you are maxed out on chase as killer so there is little value in going to the gates. I just break stuff now because its really a waste of everyone's time.
2 -
Sometimes it's to be annoying, sometimes it's to give you my item after good match, and the only other time would be to make sure everyone else makes it out.

Or it is, one hit is 300 points, if Killer has 4 stacks of BBQ is 1200 points, if you get 4 hits it 4800, if you get 8 hits its 9600.
Also those 30 seconds you mention the Killer is "wasting" is relative, if he leaves early the next match available could be against the evil "Neas with ugly cosmetics SWF™" or against The Squadette™, those 30 seconds could be saving you that fate and the doomed spot taken by someone whose Survivors chose to leave early instead of trading some BPs.

I do it for
- altruism points
- being a distraction or taking a protective hit for another mate
- giving killer free points
- I want them to see me leave
- sometimes Crouch spam b/c of how the killer played

Some ppl like to rub their dog’s nose in ######### when they poo in the wrong place. Some ppl like to rub their opponent’s nose in ######### for entertainment.

When i do it is to either get protection hit points or in case i need to save a survivor that is still in danger. I wouldnt take it personal unless they are tbagging you.
0 -
#1 thought behind it is to give a killer an extra hit, especially if 3-4 of you are escaping.
After that, if I can get some extra heal points, or even a protection hit while in there, I'll do that too, but most often, for me, it's #1 above.

I stay there sometimes hoping the killer will come and give me some extra boldness points
0 -
I sit against the exit so you can hit me for extra bp, i dont usually run around insumide it tho.
0 -
I like to wave bye-bye before I leave.
0 -
Yeah, "some"
0 -
I do it to give the Killer 2 extra hits.
Not every Survivor is an [BAD WORD].
