New Map Updates Confirmed
The DBD twitter has confirmed the next Realms to be updated are The Game and Crotus Prenn Asylum.

The Asylum looks awesome but I really do hope The Game gets the update sooner (assuming they're not at the same time as BHVR likes to make these "Choose one" posts and then do both anyway).
The Game (especially areas in the basement is downright unplayable as a killer because you can't see anything down there. You get a dark clothed survivor just hiding in the corner, there's a decent chance they're going to get away with it unless you specifically and meticulously check every single dark area. The new map looks considerably brighter, which would be a huge plus for that map.

Yeah, it's one of my least favourite maps at the moment. Here's hoping that it'll get improved.

Aww, I was kinda hoping cold wind would be changed.
Oh well, hopefully they'll make the game suck less for both survivors and killers.

I'm surprised it's only Asylum and not also Chapel, since every other reworked map have had all the maps from the same realm reworked at the same time.

They might still do the Chapel, as it's in the same realm. The overall realm is called Crotus Prenn Asylum, while Nurse's map is called Disturbed Ward.

They better fix Chapel as well. Everybody focuses on Disturbed Ward god window, while Chapel is legit broken. It can spawn multiple windows that connect to the surrounding tiles. Two of those are genuine god windows. Just yesterday I saw Probzz who had a 5 window alignment for direct fast vault counting an LT wall outside as well. The shack has a maze tile 3 feet away and can spawn the infamous shack window facing a long wall window, but a lot of other spawns are broken too. The circus area has the fun window as well. The map isn't even that 'small' (bigger than Rancid) considering that it has an elongated shape.

It looks like there's going to be markings on the ground leading to staircases. There's already signs pointing to stairs but hopefully they make it more clear.

My money was on Coldwind because it desperately needs it and it would make sense after Autohaven and MacMillan, but hey I'll take an update to Crotus Prenn and the Game anyday. Can't wait to test them on the PTB!

Here's hoping The Game will finally be not awful to play on. Not getting my hopes up too high since we saw how little they did with Shelter Woods, though.
And a solemn farewell to the Asylum, the most broken loop spot in the game since 2016.

I have a feeling they'll want to put a lot of effort into both Coldwind and Haddonfield, and so they chose another less problematic map to get the rework and focused a lot on the Asylum. I think we'll see Coldwind or Haddonfield next midchapter (+1 other realm), with the other one following in the mid-chapter after that, since both of those realms are very problematic and will need a lot of attention, particularly Haddonfield.

Finally, some proper lightning for lower floor of the game. I hope no dark corner will survive the graphical update.

Crotus Prenn actually looks like it has been set on fire now. How many people actually knew it was suppose to be on fire/still smoking ruins? Unless you looked up from the top and noticed it was suppose to be smoldering then this small bit of lore was lost.
Game looks good as well. Many people seem to dislike it but I've been a fan it since it came out. It is dark on the bottom floor though.

For some strange reason, the new look of the game map reminds me of gideon's interiors in Saw 3.

They could do something like what they did with wretched shop.
If one window is open, then the other is covered up. Simple change to make that building feel less horrible to go against. Could also put a breakable wall next to the god window, which is probably what they're going to do if they consider the window problematic.
I also wonder if there's going to be signs that the blight mutated there. Given it happened in the chapel in his trailer.

i really do hope the Graphical Update will make the maps downstairs section a lot brighter.
but knowing every single one of the reworks so far, i guess they will just make it three times darker...

No worries, if Coldwind and Haddonfield aren´t next, all the toxic swf groups will have run out of their respective map offerings till then, assuming they keep their trend of using them 6-7/10 games.

I like that The Game is getting an update, but it's looking like it might go the Autohaven route of making everything bare.

Same here.
I just hate this Map with both sides, it is no fun as Killer to run around super-safe Pallets the whole game. I am always for SOME safe Pallets, but basically every Pallet on The Game is safe. And once they are gone, there is exactly nothing to work with as Survivor.
I was also disappointed that they did not do anything to Shelter Woods. Yesterday I had this Map where one half of the Map (if you use the Tree to divide the Map into two sides, the side without the Shack) had exactly 1 Pallet. Against a Bubba. Yay.
It is not a Map where I would say it is in dire need of a Rework, but it is clearly visible how old this Map is.

I really hope the devs check ALL totem spawns on ALL maps before having this patch go live. Every map update totems get screwed up, somehow even on maps they didn't update, and they take forever to fix them.

Haddonfield they're probably taking time for balancing. Coldwind with all that annoying corn is probably taking graphical time. But glad they're getting to Crotus Prenn and heck they might turn the game into a likeable indoor map.

It's not a "Choose one" post. Those are the realms being updated period. They generally do the "Choose one" prior to showing concept art from what I notice and they TECHNICALLY didn't do one this time they just said "guess what's being updated" with no poll.

Best part of that map is Maurice. I always go over at some point and give Maurice a pet.
