Since Hiding Ranks Received Too Much Backlash
The devs have decided to reset everyone back to rank 20 every month. This will make it more difficult to pinpoint exactly how bad your teammates are, because their skill will now loosely fit around their rank Vs before.
However, if you’re on Xbox or Steam, I encourage you to look at your teammates (or players you matched with as killer) time played in the game.
This will help you determine whether MMR is properly working or if you’re getting finessed again. Although it is true hours played aren’t directly related to skill, there is still a very casual connection between the two.

How do u check time played in game on Xbox?

Why can't they just combine MMR and ranks? They could make the MMR number tied to what rank you are, allowing the ranking system to be an actual skill rating.
But that is if MMR doesn't flop again.

Ranks are useless. It really should just be MMR.
And it doesn't matter if MMR is hidden or not. The fact of the matter is if you're in a game with a potato, it means your skill levels were roughly the same. So that means you're also a potato.
Hopefully this teaches survivors to stop looking down on their teammates.

That's assuming that MMR isn't gonna be useless as well.

I play mostly on console. I guess I have about 400 hours, maybe more on PS4... but my steam profile there's barely 50 hours played. Right now I'm rank 12 on steam, and rank 7 on ps4 as survivor. I'm not that experienced, but I'm no noob either.
So, you can't really tell how good I am based only on that. But if you're on pc you can ask (anyway I'm probably gonna answer I'm bad at the game haha)

Eh, as long as mmr at least kiiinda does its job, i feel it'll be an improvement over the current system. Life has been a chromatic hellscape since i hit green ranks lol

You click on the persons profile (before or after a game) -> scroll down to “see full profile” -> scroll over to the “gaming” tab -> look for DBD in their games played, click on it -> you can now see total time played, along with kills, escapes, etc.

Yeah that’s assuming MMR is working at all

There are many football players who are 17 who are much better than football players who are 26, even though they all started at a similar age. Experience does not equal skill.
