Since the new UI seems hated by some and loved by others why not let it be customized
Either provide tools in the setting or make it like perks so you can edit the files to change the UI. In my opinion the new UI is way too clutered as everything is in different corners aswell as it doesnt look in the style of dbd and I feel it doesnt match the perk icons or the killer powers which all have very jagged lines to now have a lot of circular element to the UI. I think letting everyone change it is the only way to appease everyone. If you arent going to do that at least implement a compact mode or something that makes it look like the current UI.

Yes please. Make it optional. What is the drawback to enabling both?

When things are added, they have explained that the current UI makes it hard for them as it limits the devs as to what they can add, the new UI allows them the freedom to look at new changes and mechanics they could add.
Having both enabled would mean trying to figure out how to update the old one too, which is also development time spent on it then.
Current one being customizable would be interesting though.

Biggest problem is new UI being all over the screen and blocking FOV. Just being able to organize it at bottom like the old one would make it way better than it is now.

It's absolutely horrendous. It's much more convenient with the information viewable as it is now, and it could be made much better with a compromise like this:
I can't imagine why you'd have to spread out the entire UI around the screen to accommodate some unknown future UI additions.

The majority hate the UI, only very few like it. Maybe those few enjoy playing mobile games and are used to seeing ugly and cluttered UIs.

They most likely referred to features that wouldn't make sense right there on the bottom left where it is right now. I'd also like something customizable, so I can adjust things to the way I have my focus on most of the time - which is the right of the screen.

I'd say it's because they'll probably break something lol
Somehow moving your perks to the top right will maybe break something random like the number of totems that spawn or the ability to get into and out of lockers lol
