Can you tell when a Survivor plays your Killer?

To me, its always really obvious when a Survivor knows my Killer's weaknesses and how to exploit them. Like not the type of things you could learn from a guide, the things you'd have to play the Killer to know.

Anyone else?

the most obvious is how they react to me as nurse i guess... some make it very hard while others just completely don´t know what to do. When they understand what the killer is going trough they react way better.

I think Legion could be a candidate aswell for survivors not understanding his power. but i barely play him.

For the handful of killers I've played, I do think that has helped me tremendously when I play survivor. To be fair, a lot of the killers run the same perks and it's fairly easy to figure most of them out. There is usually one perk that requires a lot more attention to figure out or it's one that I am totally unfamiliar with.

Their powers are all different (and I don't know most of the addons for the killers), but knowing counter play for their powers really helps. However, since I run SoloQ, there is no way for me to convey that to my team mates, so I watch in frustration as my team mates have no clue what to do. At least for the few killers I do know. (Hag was the first killer I could consistently do well with and I always laugh at all the post in the forum on how OP she is. They [survivor mains] seem to think she has traps all over the map and they have to crouch the whole match. smh)

It's pretty obvious. Survivors running away from strong loops, because they know you'd have set a trap there. Survivors moving left and right as you're trying to aim at them with a hatchet or a spear. Survivors running towards you as you're phasing or blinking. You'll know if they know how to play against your killer.

I recognize when someone understands Nurse by how they play. Maybe they even play Nurse themselves. But while my team goes down to a good Nurse, I manage to keep her quite busy during a chase. My most favourite Killer to go against.

I'd say the same about PH, but I realized that playing vs Pyramid Head isn't as hard as against Nurse even though I see when someone understands him.

Plenty of Onis I can evade except if they are really really good, I can evade good billies since I mained him for like 1.5 years until Oni came out so to answer yeah when you play survivor against your main killer it is easier.

I don't play killer much, I don't have most of them unlocked but I know how to run a nurse and most of the killers and how to make the game hard for them.

PH mains have improved leaps and bounds since he first came out. It used to be easy to verse PH. nowadays I have trouble at loops because they are so good at switching between ground attack and M1 so I misjudge my palette distance and they catch me, because if I throw it down they can ground hit me if I don't throw they can slash me. I probably need to play more PH to get a grip on it.

I've actually never played Deathslinger or Huntress (the killers I play are Hag, Spirit, Nurse and Myers) but I know that much. It's not hard to learn even just playing Survivor.

But I mostly played Spirit just to learn how to counter her (to see how her Spirit Walk works) because Spirit was all over the place 2-3 years ago. It was a must to learn how she plays because she was so oppressive at the time.

There is also a tech if you tap M2 2 times and time it right you can do an instashot basically. Tapping M2, letting go to cancel the animation, tapping again to start the charge and when the charge is full, the animation didn't even put the sword in the ground and you can already shoot.

Survivors become basically confused because you didn't even put down the sword properly and you can already shoot, giving them less reaction time. But it's easy to predict when the Killer does it always so I always switch between that instashot tech and normal trail-drawing into shot.

Had a game last night where I played Spirit and played against a Kate that seemed to know a few tricks to throw me off. I’m not exactly sure if it was because she mains Spirit like I do, but man was she tough to catch. She can tell I was phasing or not and all that stuff.

Now she did have iron will and I never run stridor but generally speaking, a lot of survivors tend to beeline and hold W even if they did have iron will. Those survivors are way too predictable and easy to catch. Even without iron will, it’s possible to throw the Spirit off if you play like an unpredictable maniac.

I did eventually catch on to the Kate’s tricks and 4k’d that match, but I gotta give it to her, she gave me a challenge that I love to go against. These type of survivors are what makes me love playing the game so much.

Ohhhh thank you for the tip. I'll look out for that. That actually explains a lot why I get hit by the groundfire so much these days. Damn animation cancels!

Yeah, that is actually the worst thing to do against spirit. If you're just gonna run straight might as well not run Iron Will. The only reason you run Iron Will against Spirit is so you have a much better chance of mindgaming when she phases.

What's funny is regular killer mains complain about Spirit, but actual Spirit mains generally don't. For this exact reason, they understand how to play against her.

I play Myers and Jigsaw and you can tell who plays them as Survivor and who doesnt, especially Jigsaw they are very hard to ambush.

My story is a lot similar to this: Playing as Spirit once, there was a Ace (he’s now my friend) in a match who knew how to hide and make me mind-game myself.

During most chases with him, he knew whenever I phased, when I was faking it, or when I faked it and then phased. He took advantage of Spirit’s slower movement speed and got some distance whenever he had the chance.

In the end, I told him GG. We talked for a little while and what do ya know? He‘s a Spirit Main. (Er, was. As of now, he’s a Oni Main).

Since I run Piggy from time to time I usually do very well against her, instantly figuring out her build and their playstyle with her. Def advantage

O I can tell alright. They are the only ones who never throw pallets while healthy and waste no time but start running the second they see a glimpse of me.
