Noob survivor vs spirit
So is there any way to counter her? One effective thing i noticed was pointing the hook. Anything else?

A normal spirit? Don't get injured and just walk away from her when she phases, or use Iron will then simply walk away from her when she is phasing. Also spine chill helps.
A Stridor spirit, you are going to need No mither and Iron will, again spine chill will help but Stridor spirits are a huge issue imo.

You listen, spine chill and such can help a little; overall it comes down to a coin toss. 50/50.
You gamble on what the right move is and hope you guessed right.
That is why shy is so powerful and one of the strongest killers in the entire game. Beyond that; just play very well in every other aspect of the game.
Edit: You're going to also have people telling you to take iron will in a moment.

If you have the option to break line of sight on a loop just spin around like a maniac so your sounds and scratch marks are all over the place.
It often makes Spirits come out of phase less accurately often allowing you to get to the pallet while she is on cooldown temporarily forcing her into a chase at 110% movement speed.
I tried that on Azarov car pallets. It worked on different spirits. With no line of sight she can only guess where exactly you're standing behind the car (for instance) so when Spirit goes into phase and phases behind the car she will see scratch marks everywhere and your sounds will go left/right/left/right.
As a result her phasing SORT OF becomes a guessing game for herself. It is not a 100% counter but as I said it worked for me multiple times on different Spirit players.

See, she can't get you if you're dead.

No, when you are facing a person who knows how to use her power (that person doesn't have to be a god with her btw) you can't really do anything except guess. It sucks, her design was intentionally made this way which is even more disappointing. Her design being that she gives no information to the survivors. Try faking the direction your scratch marks go and then walk in the opposite direction.

Pretty much, my only other advice is if you are on a map with grass watch the grass to see where she is. If you have iron will and she doesn't have stridor (or you aren't injured) the best thing you can do is start running one way preferably towards a window then walk back on your own scratch marks, she will think you have vaulted the window and walk or vault around while you are walking away from her getting distance.
