Were survivor animations that necessary?
Other than they seeming a bit off, they also doesn't strike me as urgent. When you have Blight camera/ animation change waits on your lab for 4 months. We were playing just fine with the way survivor moves, unlike Blight. His camera angel makes him so difficult, almost unplayable. For example, I want to play as Blight. But I have to quit after couple of rounds because that lowest angle with high speed crash screens, makes me dizzy and nauseas, not to mention super tiring on my eyes.
You said it was a long and time consuming job since you have to redo all animations that comes with camera. So this survivor animations took higher priority with your animation team, is that it? There are 20 more killer chose them or go play something else, you say?

They could have been working on it even before they decided to rework blight's POV.

This.
They were most likely already working on those animations before Blight was even released.

Possibly. But still shouldn't Blight animations took priority with animation team, rerouting their source, postponing this update after Blight is fixed?

That is kind of my point. I am sure they were working on lots of things before Blight. But it feels like new content/ changes always comes before game health. That's just how I see it. What do I know, I am not a game designer at the end.

Blight could still have been fixed. His pov was a bug and they don't mention bug fixes in a developer diary.

Well this is exactly what happened:
If you look at the chest animation that came with blight's patch, at the end, you stand perfectly, like shown in the upcoming new animations

I do hope we see, "Blight POV fixes." on the patch notes on Tuesday.

It's funny, I noticed that too and assumed it was some kind of animation bug back then, but now it makes so much more sense
