Haunted Grounds now useless with Undying.
Is there a plan in place for HG & Undying or was this an oversight and that just gets scrapped?

I think it will still work, it will just replace one HG Totem and the second one will still stay on it's og place.

Right but you want them to cleanse HG so if Undying will always be cleansed first no matter what then it defeats the purpose.

The rework didn't change how undying works simply changed how it did its job. Now if haunted is cleansed it will proc and then respawn where undying is. So if they get haunted first you'll get two uses but this really only works when they have a reason to cleanse. So if you just do haunted and undying it wouldn't do much but with let's say ruin or devour it's more likely to work assuming haunted gets popped first. But if undying goes first or devour they really have no reason to do totems. So the chances of haunted going off is low. But that's how hexs should be. High risk high reward

I don't understand what the issue with Haunted Ground is, because I'm not following how people are using Undying with it in the first place.
Do you currently get double use out of Haunted Ground with Undying, or something? Like, does the cleansed HG now jump to another totem after the exposed effect goes off? Because if so, wow does that seem unintended.

Maybe I read it wrong? But the way I initially interpreted it was that no matter which Hex totem is cleansed first, Undying will always be programmed to be the first totem cleansed. Like a sort of automatic sacrificial protection for your other totems that you don’t want cleansed. But in the case of HG it’s the only totem you actually want them to cleanse. So in this instance they would cleanse a lit totem and the game would automatically dictate that to be Undying, rendering the HG/Undying combo counterproductive.
But if you’re saying that Undying is not programmed to be the first totem cleansed automatically then that makes more sense.

Yes. Some insight is I like to run a Hag build consisting of Undying, HG, MYC, and Corrupt. Even tho there is no Ruin you have to respect the possibility of Devour, especially on a Hag. Also generally if players see a lit totem they typically cleanse it. Corrupt intervention gives you early game set up and some gen defense. And if the survivors choose to play passive and look for totems it leads them down the path of finding HG. Undying respawns HG and then there’s the possibility they cleanse it again not knowing I have undying, or thinking it’s Devour, or just simply cleansing a lit totem because they see one. If things go to plan with this and you get use out of MYC things really begin to snowball downhill for them. You could also run Ruin or Devour and make them choose between possibly cleansing Ruin/Devour or HG but then you’re taking up 3/5 totems, leaving little room for them to transfer to another dull totem of cleansed.

Oof. This seems really broken and unintended in conjunction with Haunted Ground. Daisy-chained exposed status via the Undying jump, I don't see how anyone could look at that and not go "yeah, that might be a little much."

Not really, you rarely got more than two uses out of it. So if what HR_Helios says is true I guess it’s not much of a change. And if you think that’s broken, wait till you find out about Myers.

Hahahaha, yeah, who's this "Myers" character I keep hearing about??? He just stands there and looks at me!
