Better Together: why is there always that one troll that leads the killer to your gen?!
What does it achieve by INTERRUPTING the MAIN objective?!?!
Take the killer to another god damn loop!

I can't speak of everyone but 99% of the time, if I bring the killer to you it wasn't on purpose. I've got a big bastard chasing me with a sword, I'm running to whatever looks closest that will let me get away.
It's actually one of the nice perks of BOND. Usually I can use it to know where to go to help do gens but when I have that on, it helps me know where NOT to go to if I've got a killer breathing down my neck.

That’s all well and good (and I use Bond for the same reason), but there’s no excuse for someone leading the chase to a gen highlighted in yellow because of Better Together.

Oh, I thought you were just making a sarcastic joke in the title :D

Another thing that Better Together does is that it sometimes scares survivors from the gen you're working on because they think it's ToT. It's pretty useful in encouraging your team to spread out and avoid Discordance but not so much when you want to get that Prove Thyself value. I usually pair it with Technician so that I can fix my gen silently and in case that sandbag decides to be jerk I can stealth the killer that's coming.

Just run Bond
I know it's the opposite in that only you get the information but Bond will come in handy 100x more than Better Together and a teammate can't use it to turn you into bait

I was using both.
I wanted other survivors to know where to go for help, but I also wanted to know what’s going on, and if I’m about to get screwed.

Because the generator is so alluring that my survivor brain can't help but draw me towards it.

I thought you might be bored holding M1 so I brought you some entertainment.

They may not know someone is there until it's too late.

...on a a gen highlighted in yellow that they’ve been able to see from 40m away because I’m using Better Together + Open Handed?!?!

Actually like everything depends on the context.
In general yes it's a jerk move.
If said person has been chased all match, is on deathhook and all the other survivors are healthy and haven't been hooked once then the person leading the killer to you is completly right in trying to let the killer aggro on to you and you should have honestly went yourself to take aggro.
Interrupting the objective for 10 seconds to let the killer chase a fresh hook instead of a deathhook is 100% worth it

Possibly, yes. I've run into people before because I was affected by blindness, despite otherwise having an aura or such.

Ok... I’ll give you that one. It’s a fair point.

Survivor is death hook and has no where to else to go

Survivors leading the killer straight to other survivors via Bond or Better Together definitely strikes me as a reportable case of "working with the killer."
