I'm a red rank on console and I know for saying that I'm instantly going to get shade.

But Bubba is super op. I say this because he can kill all survivors with one swing of your ability. I know there is a clip going around of a bubba spawning with the survivors in shack and killing them all. Second he needs a longer stun if he doesn't hit his chainsaw then he can just m1 you. Finally he has some of the best perks in the games.

I just am trying to air awareness to the dev's or at the very least could people tell me how to counter him. Pls dont say run around a tree or some tires or a locker.

Yes you will probably get "oh he is easily countered blah blah" but there is a reason is the one of the dbd meme killers lol because bad killers just hook someone and face camp because they KNOW unless a team has BT... he can down multiple.

His entire design, honestly, is for a gamer who wants their hand held.

When I hear a chainsaw I prepare myself for one of two things:

A super fun match against a Billy

Or

A crap match against a Bubba

There's just nothing fun about Bubba. If you don't reach a pallet or window you get insta downed. Of course, the real reason Bubba is not fun to play against is the fact that they almost always camp and tunnel off hooks. I mean I get it, when your power lets you OHKO multiple people why wouldn't you but it's really poor design if you ask me.

Nevermind basement Bubbas that's a whole different realm of bs. Idk like, other killers basement saves feel possible but against Bubba it can and usually will result in everyone dying. A trade if you're very lucky.

With Billy the lethality of his chainsaw is limited to only ever hitting ONE survivor so you never get these problems with him. Also the way his chainsaw sprint / attack works makes him fun to loop. I love the adrenaline rush when he comes flying at me it scares me so much but I still feel like I can juke and do stuff lol

Leatherface I feel none of that it's more like I just want to be in the next game. Him and Freddy make me consider leaving asap they're just overtuned and boring to play against.

Anyways, having said all that I wouldn't mind if they looked at Bubba. He is an incredibly strong killer even without camping / tunneling / slugging. Easily A to S tier because of his insane lethality potential. Like you said he can potentially OHKO 4 survivors with one use of his power that's just silly lol

But I don't see how they can ever change him without reworking him in a fair way and even then idk how. Tbh I'd rather just never play against him than ask for him to be nerfed.

Bubba went from being one of the worst killers in the game to being a high b-tier. He was even easier before because he didn't have the resource management he does now.

Bubba's the most powerful in deadzones, but so is any other killer. Windows counter Bubba heavily, and against him you can't be greedy. Looping him around long objects with strange hitboxes can make it difficult for him to catch up. He's powerful, but he's not OP. Did you forget he had no mobility?

Also, his perks? BBQ is mainly used for BP, and Knock Out and Franklin's Demise only work on basic attacks. Franklin's is basically a waste of a perk slot most of the time, and a good few perks completely counter Knock Out.

No Bubba isn't OP he is a killer who can get hard countered by some short loops where survivors can loop close not to mention maps with lots of windows are also a pain for a Bubba. And he can't zoom around the map like Billy so I'm sorry some killers can be debated like that. But no Bubba is perfectly balanced. And best perks sorry also a big no.

Bubba isn't S tier. I always lose to Mikeys don't like them but that doesn't make him S tier A tier. You're putting Bubba on the level of Nurse, Spirit, Hag, Pyramidhead, Oni Freddy. Because you don't like him. Which is ridiculous.

How to counter him? Easy, really. Just drop every pallet against him and make friends with windows.

The goal here is making it take as long as possible to get a down while your teammates are doing gens. By the time he downs you, 2-3 gens have popped while he only has 1 hook.

Point is, play safe. If you're in the open, you're dead.

Pretty meh killer very mediocre his saving grace is that hes is the sacred dbd killer face of camping. Were it not for bubba the insidious perk playrate would drop dramatically, were it not for bubba killer to survivor facetime would drop dramatically, were it not for bubba survivors would not be able to complete there daily hooked jumping jacks. I dare say bubba is a proud symbol of dbd killer traditions.

In all seriousness though bubba like most chainsaw killer punishes poor positioning once you refine your looping and adjust your pathing youll see hes just an m1 killer that might instadown on semi rare occasions. I highly recomend you stop looking for validation and focus on improving your looping you seriously dont want to be the guy saying bubba op in postgame chat.

That kinda thing is an easy warning that you struggle with the fundamentals. Keep your windows close and pallets close watch out for sneaky tinkrer bubba's (spine chill is pretty nuts).

Bubbas counter is not being greedy at pallets. If you're a quick thinker and good chain looper, Bubba ain't gonna chainsaw you.

I primarily play as bubba. A decent jungle gym with a well-placed window effectively turns me into an M1 killer.

I notice most of my chainsaws come from people attempting to Blendette around rocks and trees who should have led me to a nearby jungle gym instead.

I'm fairly new but Bubba feels extremely powerful when I play him. I avoid camping/basement yet still every single game is a very quick 4k slaughter. His power is really easy to use for how powerful it is, compared to Billy's which actually requires some strategy and feels really unwieldy until you learn to keep your mouse very still on activation. Sure you can lead him from pallet to pallet but he eats through those quick and that's going to make mid-late game very difficult for you. Windows are your only real hope, but even then only if you're far enough away when you go through. I'm sure at higher ranks he starts to become more difficult to play but I'm still having a hard time seeing how he is only a B-tier killer. Maybe he's just a noob-trap killer?

Idk I like bubba now. He is scary and i dont deal with campers as much. But people dont realize how strong he is because so many bubba players only use 1 charge. I hate dropping pallets and bubba forces it because any good bubba player WILL NOT hit a wall and they WILL use all charges and if they use every charge and you greed you are dead without deadhard

The stigma that they tunnel and facecamp is not true. I can't even remember the last time I got unprovoked tunneled or camped by a Bubba.

They are almost always funny and memey and he ins't op in the slightest, in fact I pretty much always win against them.

As one guy earlier said, just because you don't like a killer doesn't mean they're op.

He's why I crutch on Sprint Burst now. People claim "don't get caught out" but there's some really out in the open dead zone generators and reworked maps have gotten deader. If you go down, you risk being his campfire as he sits at you. If anyone tries to save, the game is over. Any losing Bubba typically resorts back to the caveman tactic of chainsawing at the hook. It gets old fast, and I really think he is a failure of a design. He sits at the top of the "Can I just quit now?" list for me alongside Spirit and Freddy. (also Doc and Plague, though at least they are rarer)

COMPLETELY agree! I get fired up when it's Billy, trying to time 90 degree turns just before he goes to down me. It's beautiful give and take in chase.

Watching OhTofu play speed limited Bubba made me realize that even without the ability to one shot down, he can still one shot down if the attack lands just right. I wish that Bubba was speed limiter by default. He would 100 percent need other changes to keep him viable but it would in my opinion fix all the things that make bubba unfun to play against.

I thought that Bubba was mega strong, 4k almost every game. Until that one Laurie... who i chased through 5 gens. Then i realized how good some survivors can be and having a basic tile knowledge can completely remove my m2 power.

I don't play Leatherface often after that one game, it stil hurts.

Well, he is rated easy for a reason.

The solution to Bubba is something survivors should be doing anyways for maximum generator efficiency; spreading out. Moreover, looping him can make less experienced Bubba players tantrum & rage, and windows are his arch nemesis. Always vault windows early with Bubba. I used to be incredibly bad against Bubbas until I began to spread out and memorized tricky loops.

I wish everyone made this experience at least once. The thing is most people can't loop so Bubba eats them instantly making it is easy to think he is super strong or even TOO strong.

Personally I usually loop Bubbas for at least a minute or two OR I make them straight up DC.

I made a red rank Bamboozle Bubba rage quit a while ago as I chained strong windows together making it mechanically impossible to get me with the chainsaw. The counterplay is so easy I can't believe people manage to die in seconds against him.

I wouldn't say he's OP. He suffers though from a few issues that turn him into a somewhat very easy killer despite already being strong at base.

Namely:

Bamboozle just makes him into a mindless pallet chugger. Vaults are the place where the chase interaction and mindgames take place and this perk just denies all of that. It's either give the pallet or get downed. However, it could be argued that the issue lays in the perk rather than the power.
Dedicated servers work terribly on his stuns. Basically, if the survivors time the pallet stun correctly when he's chainsawing, most of the times he still gets the pallet break without the actual stun (the survivor will receive the score event, though). And that's if the survivor doesn't get dedicated through the pallet. That's actually a bit of a big deal, because that's the only thing the survivor can do and it also has a skill component.

So, in essence, he has two counterplays and both are taken away by design issues.

There's also the whole camping thing. However, if the devs wanted that to go, they would've fixed it. So, I'll assume that's intentional. Which is even worse in a sense.

How, exactly, would they fix Bubba's camping without nerfing him into oblivion? Billy can camp almost as well as Bubba, although obviously not quite at his level. So can Myers. So can Twins. Are any of these killers overpowered? No, quite the opposite with the latter two. I'm interested in hearing what possible way you could nerf camping with Bubba without removing parts of his kit. Remove his ability to multidown? Now he's worse Billy. Remove his instadown? Now he's the worst killer in the game.

Yeah, except any jungle gym or a main infinite turns him into an M1 killer. Any looper can loop him forever unless he decides to give up and forget about his chainsaw. The only thing he is strong in is punishing survivors for their mistakes, like gathering the whole team in front of him

I have played against 10 Bubbas the past 4 days and I can assure you, he is not OP at all. One of them was an Insidious Bubba, and he got way too many Kills (one Survivor tried to rescue me, even if he had Kindred... I dont know what is going on in their head if they see the Aura of the Killer going back down into the Basement and disappearing...), but thats about the only unfun match I had.

"Second he needs a longer stun if he doesn't hit his chainsaw then he can just m1 you." If you get a M1, you already did quite well, because it could also have been an M1. You did even better if he used his Chainsaw a few times before. Always try to force Bubba-Players into M1s by using Windows.

And especially, be aware of your surroundings. If you are in a deadzone, make sure you know where to go and be aware where he is, if you get caught in a Deadzone, you will go down, but often enough it can be avoided.

I just want to point out that not being OP is the first thing I mentioned. So, I don't understand why you felt to bring that up again.

Anyway, yes, I'd make a dash end when it connects to a survivor. As it stands, his multidown is primarily a camping tool. You can get multidowns in other situations only on rank 20 level boosted of survivors. That would make him on par as camping potentials as other killers, while his chainsaw will remain mechanically different from Billy's. And also easier to use. But his chase potential will stay the same.

His chainsaw multidowning is quite literally his entire selling point. That's what separates him from Billy, in a good way. Removing that would be like removing Freddy's teleport, or removing Oni's demon dash.

They would instantly become just weaker versions of other killers. I don't fancy playing The Worse Hillbilly. Plus, he could still camp by instadowning the unhooker before they unhook.

As is often the case in these threads, many want to talk till hoarse in the mouth about how something "isn't a problem" because "you can just A, B and/or C, therefore."

Leatherface isn't OP, his kit is just antithetical to the base concept of the game. He effectively forces all survivors to act as though they're injured from the start, play selfishly/solo and ignore half your perks. He's just thoroughly bad design. Plain and simple.
