What do you think of the graphic update of Crotus prenn Asylum and The Game?
I was testing the PTB and I did not have the opportunity to play and get to know the new Crotus Prenn Asylum, the Disturbed Ward map and Hatch, since there were many offerings from The Game.
To be honest I really like the new map of The Game, they were based a lot on Saw 3 but the breakable doors at the bottom in the bathroom above all, it ruined my expectation, now I do not recognize the new map much but it may be perfect for play with a Spooky Scare Myers and Ghostface, especially wearing Perks to get the undetectable effect. What do you think of this new graphic update?

I think out of all the map reworks these ones look the best.

I think they both look amazing. The Game map has finally done the SAW franchise a justice and made it feel more like an actual set of the SAW films. The breakable doors in there are questionable but they always are on these new reworks. But, I still love how it looks now. Crotus Prenn actually blew my mind. It feels so dark there now, almost like a graveyard with the fogginess around. I'm actually looking forward to playing these maps now.

I like the new maps a lot too. I'm just not a big fan of the lighting on the Crotus Prenn Asylum, or maybe it's just the color tone. Otherwise it looks great though.
Game map looks really nice now, and I really like what they did with the breakeable walls in this map, though that's only my early impressions.

Overall I like the changes, but the carnival section on Father Campbell's Chapel looks worse imo. I'll need to go back and compare again, but I believe the new version's color is more muted or something? The first thing I noticed was how bland it looked.

The maps look fantastic! Best batch so far.

The caravan area looks so darn bland now. Hardly any color there, as compared to the pre-rework area that had colored spotlights giving the area a vibrancy that was lacking in other maps.
The maps look good, but they are really trying too hard to fill empty space. Which just makes the maps look more visually busy. Plus playing blight on new disturbed ward looks like a nightmare with all of the stuff in the way.
I'm disappointed the killer shack is just a slightly re-skinned macmillan shack. I was under the impression that the shacks would be unique to their realm. The only thing unique about this one is the fact that it looks slightly burnt, and has some map specific objects inside of it.
the ground textures look better this time around, they have rocks and some leaves making it look more visually rich. But I still feel like they could stand to put more leaves in the texture, which would also let trapper's traps blend more easily. Lord knows the map reworks have been hard on trapper.
The distance fog looks like it could use some reigning in. It seems like they shrunk the map, and with the way the distance fog was left you can see a good portion of the map. Leading to you being able to see the killer coming from a decent ways away. So they could stand to decrease the radius that the fog starts to block your view.
Other than those few gripes, the design team outdid themselves again for crotus. I especially love how some things are on fire.

I really like the look of the new Crotus Prenn map, But the Game? Meh... Not really as creepy as the old version, But at least you can see in there now.

Crotus prem changed were honestly amazing. Not only does it look really good, but it honestly looks like they've balanced the map now as main isn't torture anymore.

They look nice.
Their art team has rarely ever let us down, some disagreements with autohaven is about it.
When it comes to re-designing maps or improving character visuals or such they almost always knock it out of the park.
When it comes to bug squashing, balance, dealing with direct gameplay problems is where it gets a bit dodgy.

Yeah, the news aesthetics are pretty great. The staircases really impressed me.

They look fantastic and I loved how they twisted some of the gameplay. Like there are new tiles in Crotus Prenn, and The Game was changed a bit too. I loved them a lot. Probably my fav map updates so far.

I have yet to explore the updated version of The Game, so I'll take your word for it. However, I was very impressed with the updates to Crotus Prenn. I especially liked the new Disturbed Ward with the greenhouse and garden. Definitely an improvement imo.

I think that it should've been what it was supposed to be - a graphic graphic update. Instead they added breakable walls to The Game and increased the number of pallets with no counterplay. Visually they look ok-ish for 2021

For some strange reason now the new Crotus prenn reminds me a lot of the Batman Arkham games and I like that.

Crotus Prenn looks post-apocalyptic and I love it, everything being burnt or currently on fire paired with the new Disturbed Ward's setpieces make the realm look incredible. Plus, the hanging corpses in the Ward are so good, so glad they added them after all these years. The Chapel is lackluster but that's understandable since the Disturbed Ward is so good.
The Game is insane now, the open area upstairs is great, the added detail is so good, the easter eggs are amazing (looking at you Gordon). The lighting is also really good and it seems way more killer friendly now.

I'm on console so I haven't played the PTB myself. But I have watched other streamers play. Do you think The Game is too dark?

IMO new game is too bright. I liked the original lighting; it was more gritty. The rest is okay. New crotus penn is nice. Haddonfield should've been done tho first.

I think it's good, but if its too dark you can adjust it with monitor settings. It's def dark as hell down by the bathroom but you can definitely make stuff out if you look hard enough.

They're visually pretty cool. I especially like the Disturbed Ward. For me gameplay is a lot more important though, and I'm not sure how they play out.
Also, I miss the orange tint that was all over Father Campells Chapel.

The Game map is so survivor sided. I've counted 7 God pallets..... even 8 sometimes. its like the whole map is one god pallet. Visually look great.

The Game is wonderful in terms of visual design, I just can't see anything because the map is so damn dark now lol

I only saw a picture of gideon, but, I like the new look of that portion of the basement area it looked like. It might start to suck up top depending on just how wide open it is for survivor or stealth killer, but, I haven't played it to see what it's like up there. I wonder what the red rum looks like now.

The asylum has a much more bucolic, or even sentimental appearance. I absolutely love it.
As for the game, it's certainly thematically appropriate. I wouldn't use that color scheme for my living room but maybe I would paint the meat processing center in my basement in that scheme.
