I played 2 matches of solo and I already wanna quit
This is really awful. My team just cost me the match because someone wanted to get a flash save and everyone went down.
Its not just other teammates too. What people fail to mention is that the things that effect swf also effects solo. The last game I was running the spirt and I tried to vault but for some unknown reason she downed me when i vaulted to the other side of the pallet. The game literally stopped me at the pallet and she caught up and downed me its not fair.
How do you guys do it without getting so infuriated?

By teammates or bugs?

Both.

I don't really understand getting mad at a video game. No matter what happens nothing in your life will be different when you turn it off, I have fun win lose or draw, unless I get tunneled by a merciless douche, thats not fun

Survivor is the calmer role to me, that and the metric boatload of second chance perks I can being into a match.

Only one of those can be fixed and the other bhvr will never do.

Teammates

Killers are totally overpowered against solos. Undying and ruin now are the best combo in this game, so much better than ds+ub. And also they buff tinkerer. Now you know when a gen is going to be done 24secs before it’s finished. That’s overpowered too. These perks and b&c win the game for killers, they don’t have to do anything else.

I've always played solo and it's okay for me. I understand that I'm not the best at the game so it's no surprise if I die. Since I go into every match thinking "I'm going to die." it's not a shock to me when it happens. What is shocking is escaping and having teammates try their hardest to make sure I escape. I've joined lobbies with SWFs and I expected them to ditch me or even yell at me, but they didn't. They tried to help me because we were a team.
That doesn't mean I haven't been screwed over by teammates. I've been downed and hooked and died because they were too busy saving each other and doing gens. I'll be hooked and the Killer will be a million miles away and they just let me die without trying to save me.
I've also screwed over my teammates without meaning to and it makes me feel terrible. Like the other day, I ran down to the basement to save someone and I tried to take the hits for them and get hooked in their place, but I ended up getting them hooked back in the basement. We all escaped, but I still felt bad. I also slow vaulted when I meant to fast vault and I trapped my teammates in a room with the Killer. And one time I thought the Killer was behind me so I threw a pallet down and trapped a teammate with the Killer. I can't look behind me like a lot of people can. I have the reflexes of a burnt piece of toast.
And I've been killed because of teammates. One that sticks out is I was trying to escape but my teammate decided they wanted points for healing so they were healing me and the Killer came up and downed me. My teammate escaped and I was Mori'd a centimeter from escaping. I was like "Wow. That was your fault, Nancy!" but I said it jokingly. I actually had someone the other day that told me they thought they got me killed because they were in the way. They ended up taking the hit that would have downed me and we all escaped. If they had gotten me killed, I wouldn't have been angry. The match was fun so I had no issues with dying. I mean I'd been dying all day so it's not like it would matter xD
I play games to have fun so if I don't have fun, it can make me sad but I try not to take things too seriously. There's always another match.

pretty soon undying is gonna be a waste of two perk slots so your queue times can go back to normal no sweat lol

I feel your pain. I just had a match where it was a Trapper who had DH active. I found the totem but got caught in a trap. There was only me and a Adam left. The Adam freed me from the trap RIGHT BESIDE DH, so I led the Trapper on a chase for a good 2 minutes, more than enough time to get that damn thing broken. I down, and what do I see? Adam Urban Evasioning 10 feet away. And he was a red rank. This proves more and more solo is awful and rank really does mean nothing.

Yeah, that's why killers have instant lobbies while survivors have 5 to 10 minute queues.
Makes sense.
But don't worry, they nerf Undying. So your queues will probably go brrrr.

Solo isn´t that hard. Use Bond to get an idea of who is nearby or Empathy to see where someone is being chased.
Go for unhooks if its close to mid range from your position and ignore hooks, when you see that the others are hook farming each other.
If you take Proove Thyself, you can max out objective points in 1 1/2 gens (when repairing with someone else). After that you can focus on totems and chases/unhooks.

When you see something like this, go search chests. Chances are high, that you find a key. So at least you can get out.
And survivor queues have significantly increased during the last 6 months.

Dude its always annoying just play every day hours on end until you hate the game so ######### much. Then play less because it pisses you off and then when you don't play it as much you lose focus on what you used to find important and then just find the fun in small things

Second chance perks are one use. If you're teammates suck or you suck you still die

Dont downplay killers and dont over play the perks

Wouldn't they slow down? I'm confused

Slow down? Now i´m confused.

Yeah soloq can be very frustrating. It’s especially frustrating when you know the killer didn’t deserve the 4K and got one anyway because my teammates made some wrong decisions.
Now that undying is getting nerfed a lot less killers are running it and that makes soloq so much more fun. It’s so obvious how strong ruin undying is in soloq because the killer gets an easy 4K very consistently and sometimes still 4Ks without it.
I’m still fairly new to the game and so have a lot to learn, but the one thing I found most useful in soloq is to equip kindred. It gives you so much information. Bond is also really good since you can find teammates when you need to heal or find teammates who need healing.
As I’ve gotten better and can loop and lose a killer I can sacrifice iron will and dead hard and bring info perks instead.

Well survivor times are slow due to lack of killers, so losing ruin and undying would make less players cuz some people actually care so much that they'll leave
0 -
Oh yeah, survivor queues will probably increase. All those "mediocre killers that got carried by Undying Ruin" won´t be carried anymore. So longer queues for survivors.
Cleansing totems was obviously to much.

Depends. I never cared about new ruin until it was on a map like the game or with teammates who didnt focus on gens. But with my friends ruin wasn't an issue but we would cleanse ruin for some more relaxed play. Ruin and undying got annoying because the time it takes to find totems which can have good hiding spots and how many games you could see it ran. For me I didnt care it was whatever, it was only annoying if they stopped patrolling gens or ignored people to go back to their totem, its a good play obviously but if you're winning so what just end the Damn game faster and if you are losing just decide how bad it is.

I swiched my solo build to Detectives Hunch. I complete the first gen and then i usually went totem hunting. Yesterday, for example, i did 1 gen and 5 totems alone.
Meanwhile the other players hook farmed each other.
Ruin is only good, when survivors ignore a gen, once they got chased away from one. If they go straight back to the gen, they lose a mere seconds of progress.

There’s more survs than killers because people have friends and want to play in swf, not because is easier

Wrong there is more RED rank survivors cause the current rank system sucks and only puts you back to rank 5 each month. Again all of you will see queue time as survivor is gonna be most likely instant once the new rank reset and MMR get introduced.

The opposite perspective is how many times as a killer I deserved 2k+ but didn't get any because I made some wrong decisions. And unlike being a survivor, there's no one who can help you when you make them.
As a solo q, I purposely don't equip Kindred because I don't want to know what stupid things my teammates are doing.

So... according to you, killers have no friends, yes?
0 -
seems differ to me, killer queue time tooks 15-20 mins in my place while survivor is instant, so can't play killer right now while i enjoyed playing killer but queue time is frustating
0 -
What rank are you?
Is cross play turned on?
0 -
For soloq, I just don't go in expecting to make it out. There are four people who can't communicate with each other at all that do need some level of coordination to make things work. That you can all be at wildly different levels of experience with: the game, the map, the killer doesn't help.
Did that person trying to get a flashlight save just make a bad call? Or are they inexperienced with flashlights and are trying to learn to use them? Maybe they are just having the kind of day where they can't seem to make anything go right. It happens.
I do think Soloq needs a boost info wise. Nothing too huge, but there are days I do think bond and/or Kindred should be base kit.

nope dont turn it on. usually until rank 5-15 thats why most of my time 90 percent is survivor. although when dbd came first when theres only 3 killers i always play killer
0 -
Turn cross play on. Queues are much faster, when its on.
