Second Wind could be Meta

Listen please. Second wind requires you to heal the equivalent of one health state to a survivor that isn't you.

I think this means that if you get interrupted at 50% but then do 50% on another survivor the perk will still activate.

The pay off is a heal after being unhooked provided you can loop for at least 20 seconds.

The benefits of this is if your getting tunneled and you manage to get rescued and run away you can safely work on a gen or heal your rescuer, this saves you 16 seconds where the rescuer heals you instead allowing you to run to the closest gen.

It's also effective in looping, if you were recently unhooked and you make it to a loop you loop for 20 seconds and your healed.

If you want you could combine this with DS to guarantee your safety... But then it would be uncounterable... So don't.

It's not uncounterable like most Meta Perks but it sounds good. Would like people to share their opinions.

I've always thought Second Wind was a good perk. It saves a lot of time that some don't realize. Getting healed while working on a generator can be a game-changer in a few scenarios. The new buff will just make it even better hehe. 8/10 of a perk from me.

Exactly! If a 5 second stun changes the game imagine a 16 second time saver! That means instead of two people out of the game for 32 seconds it's cut down to 16 seconds. It's pretty big imo, lets see if people recognize it's strength.

dead hard with twist and turn, second wind, ds, and unbreakable, soul guard or deliverance for the lulz

it's too bad you don't have 6 perk slots to pop all 6 of those together or swap out second wind and soul guard for no mither and iron will for more fun and switch between the loadouts. 6 perks please. Hell with even 5 perk slots we could combine our efforts and make almost every killer quit the game in due time if enough players pitched in. give us 5 perk slots please, do it for the lulz

Hmmm... I don't know. This perk has the same problem as Deliverance: you can't be the first one to go in order to use it. Unless your teammate take the chase from you and the killer accepts the trade, if you go first, no SW for you after first hook. And that considering you'll heal that teammate or someone else before the first hook.

I think the second one is easier to achieve, but it is still kind of situational.

I think it will be better now, but I don't expect to see it too often, to be honest.

The problem I've always had with second wind is compared to other healing perks like it (namely Inner Strength), it's not as good.

Inner strength does the same thing that Second Wind does, but...

    • It can be used on command, as long as you've broken a totem, which takes less time and means there's one more survivor doing something important.
    • It's far easier to activate.
    • It takes less time to heal you.
    • You can use Inner Strength a maximum of 5 times, while Second Wind can only be activated twice.

The only thing Second Wind has over Inner Strength is the fact that it heals you passively, which does mean you can do more important things. But, I have the same problem with it that I have with Deliverance. If you're the first chased or hooked, the perk is a waste of a spot.

Thats why the DS. If you get picked up run away no heal but it becomes uncounterable, either the killler lets you heal or you use DS.

The problem that I have had when using Second Wind is that for that entire 20 seconds I would have other players pestering me and insisting that I allow them to heal me. 20 seconds they could be using to do something more productive. But that isn’t entirely out of the ordinary as I’ve had people tea bagging next to me while I’m wounded and fixing a gen, trying to get me to stop and heal rather than help me fix the damned gen. People are really stupid.

You think people never thought of this since the perk came out? people know it, it never was meta and probably never will be even after the slight buff. Basically you have to do a bunch of stuff to get the equivalent of a med kit, for that amount of trouble you could just bring a med kit and another perk instead for the added benefit. I've seen players with 4k+ hours trying to play it consistently and only getting it to activate once per match if they are lucky which is in itself a pretty low value for the trouble you have to go trough to activate it.

They need to address the real issue with second wind to make it valuable. If another survivor heals themselves for only 1 seconds and you heal them for the remaining 15 seconds it won't work because it needs 100% heal progress right now. Hopefully they will change it.

There is a problem, though. ######### Claudettes and Self Care.

Second wind is never gonna be meta, it won't heal you if you go down which is already the biggest downside, if you get saved with BT then get deep wounds, second wind will not fully heal you, only remove deep wounds which is useless right now.

No matter how you view it, it doesnt have the property to be meta since it doesnt work against a killer who is tunneling you, most likely you're gonna go down before you even pop it up.

I've tried using this perk so many times and maybe out of 10 matches I have it on, I can only get it to work like 4 times. Either I'll be the first to get hooked and then proceed to get tunneled after being unhooked, or I can heal multiple people when I'm on my death hook which makes this perk worthless. I feel like it should have a token system with a max token limit of 2. Maybe then it'll be better to run it.

I'd say it's a viable anti-tunnel perk. The killer goes for you as you're injured but if you can drop pallets and last those 20 seconds against him, you get fully healed and waste a ton of his time.
