The Pig Reverse Trap can become inactive?
so i notce when im a survivor and the trap becomes active, the red timer sometimes goes away and flashes black and red. whats the deal?

Certain things stop the timer, they are: getting chased, being in the dying state, and being on the hook. It may not sound like a lot, but think of how often each happens in a match. It's like this to prevent any cheese from the killer, and there are a few work-arounds, but overall, it works well enough for balance.

Pig tip for you, since I see so many killers screw this up: If someone's got a trap on their head, and they're running around in a panic looking for the box while it counts down, leave them alone. They are successfully pressured and not bothering with gens, leaving you free to go after someone else.
