Hag or clown
i cant decide what to buy, with recent clown buff he sounds good but hag doesnt sound weak either.
i main blight and have devour already
What do i choose?

Hag is way stronger than clown, her perks all are good, clown has 2 good perks which are pop and bamboozle and it is getting buffed in like 2 weeks on live servers.

Personally I find Hag gameplay more interesting and since I play with controller it’s also a little bit easier to control her compared to Clowns bottles, but not by much. Clown is also a pretty straight forward M1 killer that can shut down loops pretty fast. Hag has a unique playstyle and can be very strategic and also map dependent.. her power also helps in camping and tunneling, but is definitely not limited to this!
Hag also comes with Ruin and Third Seal, which I guess will also have some fun uses once Undying gets the rework for better synergies with other Hexes.
Clown obviously has Pop, which is a very powerful perk, I personally also like Bamboozle very much. Coulrophobia has also some niche value..

Hag is very strong and gets a lot of hate due to her playstyle/design which is pretty campy/sluggy. She can sort of camp hooks and defend gens at the same time using her traps making her annoying to face for most people.
She's a 110% killer so you have to work with your traps at all times instead of chasing after every person you see. You must not forget to re-trap all areas throughout the match otherwise she becomes a no power 110% killer that's easy to bully.
Clown is the exact opposite. He is a killer that's directly designed to go for chases. @TheClownIsKing can probably describe him better than me.

Hag is worth your hard-ground points 100%.
On her own, she is a great killer. You could argue that she doesn't even need perks nore add-ons to be effective. She is one of the few, if only basekit killers who functions at 100% viability right out of the box. Her perks are also great. Ruin and Devour Hope's reputation precede them, and Third Seal is OK for a meme build.
Clown has some good perks. Pop goes the Weasel is great, bamboozle and Coulorophobia are OK in some situations and maps. But Clown on his own is a pretty terrible killer. He needs addons amd you get very little out of him per hour of mastery put in.

Only buy Hag if your getting perks and you aren't going to play her.
Otherwise buy Clown. His simplicity makes him quite fun to play imo.

If you enjoy Hag's playstyle and want to master her you should check out Space Coconut. He has (almost) exclusively played Hag since basically... Ever.

Yeah Hag definitely relies on their traps, you can’t do well as M1 only with her.

Hag is much stronger than Clown but has a different playstyle. If you enjoy proxy camping and not chasing, then Hag is for you.
Clown is ok. He isn't nearly as bad as people make him out to be, and the buffs he's getting in the mid chapter are really nice QoL changes (mainly the reload speed, still don't know what to do with his speed bottles but a good Clown will definitely find some use for them. Hoping our resident Clown main on the forums will find share some of their ideas when he comes to the live build). Pop is also probably the best slowdown perk in the game if you're into that.
Both killers are very easy to get into and play so you shouldn't have any issues there, it's just what playstyle you enjoy more. Both killers are more than viable at red ranks.

Hag is super strong, one of the strongest Killers in the game but is super boring to play as, Clown is fun and not is as bad as people scream but if you get a bad map with spread generators you can struggle a lot.
Both are very good perk wise, Ruin, Devour Hope, Bamboozle an PGTW are very good perks.

I've been playing hag longer than Coconut.. but he's actually pretty good with her now, tbh.
Anyway great character, definitely better than clown, but potentially more stressful?

If you're going for just purely strength of the killer, Hag is the one for you.
Imo, the more fun killer of the two, is Clown. Hag gameplay is a lot of teleporting back to the hook. A lot of people find her boring because of that, but you never know, maybe you'll like that style of gameplay.

Hag is stronger and more fun to play. If you like to run around a lot and just chase survivors like with other killers than go for Clown because he is probably the most fun killer of this type with his laugh and all. If you like strategy of set up your nest and mindgames then Hag is your killer. Michi on youtube have a very good Hag guide you should watch if you pick Hag.
