DS nerf needed now more than ever
Just had a 4man SWF literaly impossible do do anything, their luck would have it 5 ######### windows and 3 pallets spawned below the bridge like structure on swamp got looped for 3 minutes there by one person, if I didnt use spirit mode to catch her by suprise(in that time she jumped trough 3 windows!) I would still be chasing her.... then it turns out they all have DS and kept launching themselves to save the hooked at last gen, they opened the gate all 4 down all 4 got picked up the one that didnt had DS, downed one he had ds, downed another he had ds, ok I hooked one and she had DS so I let her walk past me at the gate, I used devour hope to take out the healthy survivor in the back, and HE HAD DS!!! there's no ######### way this is not OP honestly I didnt care for it but 4man teams are exploiting the ######### out of this, I downed him twice and all of his teamates and he still had ######### DS this game just tilted the ######### out of me and why wouldnt it when they tbag the ######### out of me with all the DS, this game is so ######### broken against 4 man SWF that knows the game 0% chance to ######### do anything.
either make seperate 2man 4man SWF lobbies or nerf the actual ######### thing that is affecting the ######### game, just cause your precious survivors love it doesnt mean it isnt ######### broken

In my opinion, DS alone isn't even that bad. The only change that I believe DS needs is the ability to weaponize the perk.
The real issue is Unbreakable when it's paired with DS. That is when it becomes truly uncounterable. DS is relatively counterable when on its own, but if the weaponization of the perk is taken away, it will be entirely counterable.

It really needs to be canceled if the survivor works on a gen or heals. It's just 60 seconds of risk-free healing

The DS is against tunneler nubs. I hope they'll buff it back as it was.

I still thing the best proposed change is: 30 second timer. The timer does not go down if in a chase. If someone enters a locker or does an objective (healing, gens, totems, etc.) the perk deactivates. If a new person is hooked, DS become inactive

You are doing it wrong. How the ######### do you chase 1 person for 3 minutes?

Then the killer will just count to 30 from every unhook its not nearly enough time, can down someone farmed off a hook, count to 30 and hook again, 60 seconds is the minimum for ds to be useful at all. I will only run ds if I have it at tier 3, unless the survivor I'm using has tier 2 of it and nothing better to put on.

Dude, the Pier is a BS area, never spend too much chasing there, if the RnG is in favour of survs you'll just lose time chasing in the Pier.

That and make it so locker/gen grabs don't count. It's really annoying that someone gets unhooked and goes straight to a gen. Then if I see them they run into a locker.

DS counting down when not in chase makes for The Legion issue all over again. Asking a person to do nothing for 30 seconds also makes it completely pointless. I agree with the locker though, if you're grabbed (especially in the locker), there is nothing "Decisive" about your Strike.

I am a red rank p2 Doc main and can count on one hand how many times I have had DS used against me - then again I do not tunnel at all. If I accidentally down a survivor at the hook who was just taken off I just go after the other person. Half the time when I do this by the time I have downed/hooked the other person the accidentally hit survivor is either up and gone or I go pick them up and hook them again.
As a survivor (also red rank) I don't even have DS because I have never needed/wanted to use it. I have Laurie, but have never put any BP in her or played her because frankly she is the blandest looking survivor in the game.
These forums make me laugh - full of anecdotal stories meant to be taken as fact, constant whining, and the stupidly repetitive circular topics which if they don't go on for pages - don't worry another thread just like it will pop up in less than a day.
I have no issue with DS - maybe you should alter your playstyle so it doesn't affect you so much - is my only thought on the subject. Or you can just continue with the same behavior in-game and here and see how that works out for you.
(I say "YOU" as a general term and not referencing anyone in particular)

God I wish people would just stop with this NERF DS bull... DS is not an issue. I cant even remember the last time I was killer and thought to myself "Oh these guys only won because of DS"... If you're getting hit with that many DS that it forces you to cry on the forums about it, you're obviously doing something wrong. Stop tunneling and learn how to slug. The amount of people running DS/Unbreakable is slim.

What is it with people on this forum and taking one awful game and deciding it means something just HAS to change? 🤔 You very obviously made a lot of mistakes this game (starting with chasing one person and not being able to catch them for 3 minutes while everyone else cranked out gens, instead of leaving them)
I also am gonna go out on a limb and say that DS isn't even the issue and you would have lost to them anyways. They just would have played the end game differently. But since they all had DS, they played according to the perks they had equipped. Of course, I didn't see the game so I wouldn't know for sure. But my friends and I can easily finagle 4 man escapes with an EGC unhook with only 1 or 2 DS perks equipped.

The comparison to the legion problem includes being in a chase with a killer that has their camera looking on the floor while following the survivor counting to 30 (instead of waiting for the deep wound timer). So the 30 second timer still runs without an active chase. Fyi I am also against using DS aggressive as a weapon.

Same could be said about survivor that call getting hit after getting unhooked in the killers face without bt "tunneling" while that is the fault of the farming teammate. A killer does not have to go out of their way to ignore the onetap and going for the healthy survivor to give them the hit speedboost.

Guess you don't main much, but yes, it does happen when a SWF team hook trades quickly at the end of game. I've slugged 3 people and been DS'd by all 3 of them in sequence. And at red ranks a LOT run unbreakable/DS...you must be on another planet.

Always remember that survivors make BHVR the most amount of money. It is by far the most played role in the game. They will NEVER nerf DS or they risk losing massive PROFITS

If you get looped for 3 minutes as Spirit, this is clearly a "you-problem". If you cannot see that, you should clearly first take your time to be better at the game before complaining about it.
Let alone that the Swamp cannot spawn with that many Windows AND Pallets under the footbridge.

Then if you hook a surv at the egc you can’t be 10m from the hook. Or ds is bad at egc but facecamp to have a kill is totally ok?

The problem with DS is not the perk per se, is actually the conditions to trigger it, let's put the next situation for example, you downed survivor A, hooked him and went for another one (survivor B), A is recued by C, and when u get there A body block u so u don't hit C, so u hit A again but it has BT, C gets away so u chase A, you down him, again. While this happens survivor D recues B, meanwhile u have 2 choices, pick up A and eat the DS or leave A and he will either pick up by someone else or use unbreakable.
The problem with all this i that it makes the chase futile, cause you lose time as a killer, and in this game times is everything. The fact that u can get DS on second or third hook is the problem, not DS as a perk.
Playing as a survivor, and being good at it, especially if you are playing with a team on VC, gives you the skill to bully with DS, cause u know no matter either the killer down you or not u can get away with it, u will either be saved by someone or picked up by the killer and use DS.
So yeah i think DS needs a rework, not a nerf.
You will not find too many comments supporting your opinion tho, there's some childish behavior related to what needs to be nerfed and what doesn't.
