Half of what I said was a joke. However I am a firm believer in a "Trial by fire" type. If you're new to a game and keep dying you either get better or refund it/never play again. I do agree however that no brown rank should ever get matched with Yellow and above. If Brown gets with a red rank the games just broken at that point.

Never said you had to. I said half of what I previously said was a joke. Implying baby survivors shouldn't get slugged or matched with anyone not a brown rank. I agree if you play normally everything's fine which is basically what I stated above. Trial by fire, don't give them a super easy game because they're new, play normally and have fun.

If I play Apex and see a squad of people running around not doing much I'm sniping them. I'm not letting them off the hook just because they're new. That's stupid and makes little sense. Same thing here. Just because the matchmaking gave me as a killer baby survivors does not mean I will just farm and let them go. That's boring and their MMR goes up. I won't tunnel/camp/slug because there's no reason to. Any killer rank 12 and above will have no problem facing baby brown ranks.

Further more it doesn't matter if I get babies and slug them all. As the devs have stated oh so many times killers are within every right to down them all until they bleed out if they so choose. It is a valid strategy that's not going anywhere. So if a killer gets babies and slugs them there's nothing wrong with it at all. Does it suck for the survivors? Absolutely it does. But until the Devs change the rules around slugging nothing can be done. If a killer wants to slug nothing can be said about it because that's how the game works.

Yeah I don’t get why you would bleed the survivors out anyways. Just hook them and move onto the next game, I’ll BM them as they die if they were annoying.

And I do feel kinda bad when I get a SWF that’s like 1-2 red rank survivors and their rank 16 friends who have 2 perks on Dwight or something and I’m using some of the strongest available killer builds.

Making red rank survivors kill themselves on hook is funny to me but when it’s babies I usually feel like they might just stop playing the game.

Well I can sympathize because I’ve tried to get friends into this game before and run into the exact same problem. DBD has a somewhat steep learning curve.

I just got out of a match exactly like it too. I gen grabbed a survivor with Leatherface (no stealth perks) and I’m thinking “this guy must be drunk” and then get to the endgame screen and he was rank 18 with 1 perk. When I’m at rank 1 and running like Ultra rare addons with a full build.

Morally, maybe. But again as literally everyone and their mother states: Killers owe survivors nothing. Killers play the way they find fun because it's 4 on 1 so if killers want to slug a group of rank 20s they can. Which is why I want slugging to be removed and replaced with something else.

Say you're playing solo and get slugged at 5 gens and just left there all game while the killer goes after others. Solo survivor (for me at least) takes well over 7 minutes each queue. In what world is it fair to make any player wait over 7 minutes for a match only to get caught first and sit on the ground all game until you die?

Lets math for a moment. Lets say you're solo queue in the queue for 7 minutes. Everyone's in and ready to go but there's that 1 person who doesn't ready up (looking at you Meg head) so that's 1 minute. Tie on the load screen which is around 15 to 40 seconds depending on if there's consoles or bad connections. Lets ballpark 25 seconds. So already before you get into the game to play that's 8 and a half minutes. You start playing and get on a gen only for a Leatherface to come over. But wait! You're in an Autohaven dead zone and have nothing to loop with and go down and become a slug. It takes 4 minutes to fully bleed out from start to finish. Assuming you're on the ground that whole time you've waited 12 and a half minutes for...? A game where you sit your ass down on the ground and don't play.

Now I understand these numbers are worst case scenario but my point is this happens. A lot. And it's annoying as all hell when you play survivor and that happens.

This. Also, if you're red ranked playing with your new to dbd friend, don't. Let them play alone for a week first before you bring hell onto them.
