Survivor is unplayable...
I've just spent about 8 hours today on this game, and every single game I was the only one doing generators, running the killer about for more than a minute, and generally playing the game, my last game I literally started the game, did 1 gen, in that time the killer killed two survivors by tunneling and camping both of them, i did another gen, 3 gens left, the killer downed me and it was the end of the game... First hook... Devs how is this fair... I die on first hook every game now

Well, as someone who solos to rank 1 so easily, I might suggest you either
a) aren't as good as you think you are
b) don't understand how to PIP up
Yes, I agree... matchmaking is awful and you will have many bad games. But your luck seems... like... maybe you need a break or to re-evaluate your skill level. And at rank 5, you SHOULD be fighting red rank killers.

Bring BT, loop the Killer for about 2 minutes, do a gen and open a gate, EZ pip.
If you still struggle run Decisive Strike, Gens a problem for you? Prove thyself and Better together are here for you.
Need to babysit your teammates like I do? Run kindred it's info is an Enititysend when you're solo.
Its hard at first but gets easier with time

Start equipping plunderers. You get keys from chests very frequently. Burn the chest offering for extra chests as well.
I only play solo and yes, it sucks, but it is manageable. If you find a key, hide it in a corner and when the hatch appears, go get it and say good by to the potatoes. I can't count how many times I have been left behind to die after constantly running across the map to rescue and taking multiple hits to prevent the killer from tunneling. Heck, I would literally just stand there, motionless, to get the killer to come at me and get off of the unhooked person and still get abandoned. So now, no more Miss Nice Bush.

Lately I think the same thing, before as a killer I had a hard time but now it's the other way, I wait a long time as a survivor for a match and I die very fast because my team dies fast.
I only can recommend you when you go as a survivor you always join someone to repair various engines faster but I'm still in the same situation.

Your topic title doesn't match the content. Survivors are not unplayable. You just have no luck with your teammates.

Survivor is easy to play. You have 3 other people on your team. All you need to do is fix generators. There are perks that give survivors second chances. Try playing as a killer and dealing with all that. Survivor is easy street. Solo or not.

Getting down in 30 seconds? Well, buddy. You sound like your ego and pride are both damaged. I'm sorry to hear that. Most players who are "decent" at this game can loop far beyond 30 seconds, and 30 seconds is still a "decent" amount of time. We don't hide in corners and farm our friends. That's simply YOU projecting and YOU not self-assessing your lack of skill to overcome your mistake.
Take it out on yourself, not everyone else.

If two people have died because of tunneling and camping at only two gens were completed maybe the problem is your team is way too altruistic
