Why play killer if it makes you this salty.

Honestly i play killer. so this is not me being mad or salty about it because I don't care to escape. BUT.... If killer upsets you to the point where you throw he game to face camp a survivor why even play killer? I am just curious. I wouldn't play killer if it upset me that much to the point where I had to try and ruin an experience for someone else. Again this doesn't bother me i actually AM compiling clips of all the face camping killers i pull when playing survivor to put together a compilation of me getting bmd after a mini chase. But seriously why play killer if it upsets you that much?

lol making a montage of clips being facecamped cause so butthurt,.. I guess it gives something to do while waiting for matches

Because I'm dead inside and I hate myself. Jokes aside, I don't get it myself. I mean, sure, nobody likes to lose, evidenced from the way people DC left and right because 'Insert X Reason here'. I myself never DC over a loss. Though, I just play for fun, and if I win, then it's a bonus. If I can clearly see I'm about to lose I'll just mess with survivors a little and wait for them to leave. I can't understand why some killers would get to the end of a match, then DC and lose all their earned BP, and waste time even playing the match. I mean, a win isn't everything. Can't we all just enjoy gaming again instead of making it such a contest?

If you're able to make a montage out of your matches, then I feel like something is wrong.

I don't know about you, but I've noticed that facecampers aren't very common unless you're in the low low ranks or it's endgame.

I just hope you aren't BM'ing them, because then it's justified.

I do agree something is wrong, just tonight I have had 6 face campers, all in red ranks, I mean if it’s simply a lack of skill I guess i get it, Not able to get the job done playing the game so face camp and let all gens get done I guess it’s a way to play. I just laugh when it happens, thinking you sure must have been bullied a lot as a kid.

Nah it more entertaining to see especially if it cause of a killer or a perk you use.

No i am rank one. And no i am not bming them i dont bm anyone. Unless of course i am bmd first. And when i say facecamped i mean FACECAMPED lol not proxy or any of that but smacking me on hook and facecamping and i am solo so you know randoms lol

I mean what is fun about standing in front of a hook for 2 minutes at a time after being totally destroyed in a chase.

I am not upset I genuinely am curious as to what is fun about it. I don't mind staring into the eyes of a huntress as she smacks me over and over again and nods after a 3 gen chase (which isnt saying much cause all survivors have to do is sit on a gen to 80 seconds) but still I can't sit there and face camp.

Perhaps he knew the game was over and wanted to secure one kill? i've up and stopped moving when I know the game is over but the game just has to catch up to what I already know. I literally go to the door, wait for the last gen to be done, open the door (telling them GET OUT) and then go find the hatch. or if i've killed one person or one person dc'd at some point I find the hatch with one gen left then move to the door to open it after the last gen is done.

Maybe so, But when i know ivr lost i attempt to get as many bps as possible. I respect not moving or whatever but if im gonna lose im gonna make the most of it.

Well Since ive probably already maxed out my chase points my best chance for points is hits/hook trading, or getting a kill

As for giving up as a killer my queue times are instant so i will just move on to the next match and get my bloodpoints there.

I suppose we gotta equip perks to counter facecampers.

    Freki Member Posts: 1,903

again you just confirmed exactly what I said, they were making the most of it, if they have gone the whole match and barely any hooks, and finally has one and you've got 3 people working on gens or even 2 and 1 gen left sure secure the kill and let others go. that's a valid strat, it's not throwing a game when you know it's lost. It's called cutting your losses and making sure you get something.

you don't have to, it's a free internet out there as to your decisions.... lol

I very rarely get salty messages from killers.

I VERY OFTEN get salty messages from survivors.

Messages I typically get from killers "GGWP" "What was your team doing? I felt bad for you." "Check out my stream!"

Messages I typically get from survivors: "WHY DID YOU CLEANSE THAT TOTEM?!" "You're a BAD TEAMMATE FOR NOT COMING TO SAVE ME AND MY SWF WHO ALL WENT AGAINST A BASEMENT CAMPING FREDDY." (The last part is SUBTEXT not text, obviously.) "You're a trash killer!" (Usually after I've won, but sometimes after I've lost too.) "Tunneler!" "Nice Tunnel!" "Camper!" (I was called a tunneler when I don't think i hooked the same person twice in a row all game, they did the first 4 gens in a ridiculous amount of time that would've made even Otz probably say "WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO!" Like... I hooked the first guy after a fairly short chase, and two gens pop. I down someone else pretty quickly, third gen pops. Then a fourth. Luckily they three gen'd themselves, and I had PGTW and was playing Freddy) Any combination of racial slurs and Death threats.

well in the current supply plenty of killers not belonging in the red and purple ranks will be getting there if they keep playing lol. When I would camp somebody it was specifically to either be an ass tot hem, hoping to get them mad about it, or to feed off of altruism or stupidity. When they stand there without insidious, or stealth killer, or they do it without save attempts they're either hoping to waste your time knowing it's funny that you waited ten minutes just to wait a few more on the hook for nothing or they don't know better. For some people the win is if they waste your time or believe they've frustrated or you or controlled your experience, and they don't care about gens or bp. Many people still logging on as killer are probably driven thatw ay, and with fewer killers even if their own number among them hasn't increased or decreased much lately you'll still be more likely to face them just because of the dwindling stock of killers altogether.

oh no i definitely do not HATE facecampers. I am genuinely curious about it. When i play killer i tried it out and that stuff is BORING as heck. If that's what they want to do they can do it. But this killer didn't start the match facecamping. she got an instant down and hooked 2 people then chased me for two gens leaving 3 gens up and she face camped me and beat me on hook. no I didn't taunt or tea bag so this was her genuinely salty about something. lol

survivors have the pressure holding power in their hands most games, killer needs more of an edge, there's a reason nobody or less will play killer. It's not as fair, killer perks that are by no means oppressive get nerfed

Lol, i like how you started.

"I gotta be honest with you guys: I do play Killer."

Maybe the ones you encounter are also the ones etching closer to the breaking point of taking a break from Killer, the game, or stopping altogether.

Could also be that they're always like this, bad losers exist in any competition, no matter if they trained for years or just began.

Don't some people here also consider DbD a drug?

Could be they're addicted to playing and this is a symptom.

I've seen enough LoL players act way worse than any players i encountered in DbD.

just like some survivors have the most fun and get the most enjoyment out of frustrating killers or wasting their time/dominating them and their experience ... there are killers with the same needs and that is one of their methods of doing it from their side of the game. Just knowing that they're living in your head afterwards, on top of dominating you and your entire experience in the match, is satisfying enoughf or them sometimes. Some people look for posts like yours as part of the satisfaction and assurance that what they're doing is effective, whether survivors, killers, or it's the boards for other games entirely with their own methods of frustrating and wasting each others' time.

In hearthstone once in a while I used the universally despised decks with an almost assurance to win when the mulligan was right like patron warrior not because it was a quick way to farm gold in a couple hours of tv a night but because I knew the other personw as rolling their eyes and waiting to see if they should instantly concede at turn 6 before getting locked into animations. I think I was one of the very first people to figure out the ten minute shudderwock turn lmfao, I was doing it in the first hour that expansion. But typically my style was thief priest when it was good, or wall priest and wallet warriors while roping and watching tv to try and create the longest match possible.

Whether I won wasn't the concern, though I used decks I often won with outside of mirror matches anyways. It was having control over the other person for every moment they failed to concede and play 2 or 3 other matches in the same amount of time with a chance to win at least one of them (back when 3 wins = 10g and zero wins = zero, ziltch, notta) that I got off on. In mirror matches, or while trying 'gimmicky for fun' decks I'd just concede when I came across somebody like me. Playing like that in hearth Now though you're just giving them xp so I lost interest in the actual ccg and only play battlegrounds or let a bot trade concedes in wild with other bots for battle pass xp (battle pass in freaking Everything now I've botted 3 games I think now because of those annoying things when I used to just play them).

Some people have different needs than just winning or playing in ways a majority might consider 'fun' for them to play. And sometimes trying to understand the typical idea of fun can be as confusing for the troll as it can be for the victim trying to understand the troll's logic. It's just a different wiring is all. I enjoy wasting others' time and knowing they're miserable, more than grinding for miniscule gains even when I win in grindy games. It's the Instant gratification I reckon, while back int he 2000s I used to 'just play' games normally before grinds became a thing outside of mmorpgs (the only genre I really enjoy a good grind). I had to change how I gained satisfaction from games over the past ten years after the stingy grinds came. When I believe I ruined somebody's match, I feel like I won and don't need to do it for days or a week or more to get that satisfaction. I blame the directions the industry took in focus. I didn't always play that way as I said, I used to just have fun just playing the older games. Now there's just too many games and too much grind and power differences between players to do that any longer. I'm one of those people that every few matches needs to waste somebody's time or use the most annoying stuff I can.
