Will Dead Hard be Nerfed When it is Updated?
Just asking, plenty of times when you outplay Dead Hard the survivor presses ‘E’ to undo their mistake.
I know it’s not reliable atm but I assume the changes to it in the future will focus on that, just wondering if the perk itself will be looked at.

How tho? Remove I frames it’s just as good. Reduce distance it’s trash

I think the best way to change DH is to keep it an exhaustion perk but to change how it activates. I would say make DH completely different just like they did with Tinkerer.
Make it an exhaustion perk but not one that extends the chase by 2-3 minutes just by pressing a button.

I mean it extends chases like any other exhaustion perk just in a different way. Is it annoying yes OP no

dh is not op or need nerf. Stop crying

Dead hards fine, after a survivor shows you they have it in the open just wait a second before swinging so they use it and then smack them down. If they use it to for distance to get to a pallet or window sometimes you can still get the hit because half the time they do it to near and mess it up. Doesn't make chase last any longer than sprint burst or lithe in my experience, if they use it properly and if it works and they don't end up exhausted on the floor.

I know how to play around DH this isn’t a post looking for advice on it. My concern is the ability to prolong the chase. In a game where the killer is on the clock and gens go flying, it’s kinda silly to get punished as a killer because a survivor just pressed a button, even though they just made a mistake.

DH is not OP, it only allows players to extend chases where the survivor is at fault. Not OP though lol

All the exhaustion perk are for extend chase.

Welcome to dbd. Where survivors get all sorts of helping hands and killers get told to adapt

I'm really not sure what you were looking for by talking about it on a discussion forum then but fair enough. All I know is I rarely get outplayed by it once I've seen a survivor has it so if you are then the best I can do is tell you how I try and avoid it.
2 -
If it was up to me I'd simply remove i-frames from it and it can be used while injured or healthy.

"Survivor presses E to undo their mistake"... You know what else undoes mistakes? NOED? Rancor? Blood Warden?
You're calling for a nerf on a perk that doesn't even were 70% of the time and most survivors don't even use properly... What's next? Nerfing Lithe because if a survivor gets to a vault fast enough it saves them from a mistake? or nerfing Balanced Landing again because a survivor can get to a drop before you catch them?
3 -
None of those perks undo mistakes lol. Blood warden is the survivors fault, rancor isn't even that good, and nows makes you a 3 perk killer until the game is almost over. Btw what you said is whataboutism

the devs already confirmed in a live stream that DH functionality will receive a change when they update its netcode, so it most likely will be nerfed. dunno what they plan on doing with it but im gonna be sad if they make it trash tier

As far as I know there's no DH update. The animation is being worked on along side other animations. There was a bug during the PTB where you had full control, but I don't see how anyone could call that a nerf if it goes live.

People complain about netcode and such; but act like it isn't a stupid strong meta perk.
I don't see it getting nerfed though, it's fine as is for the most part.
However if they ever made it as perfect and flawless as people want it to be and it worked always without a hitch; I imagine it would have to be nerfed ironically enough.

They said they’re gonna change HOW it works with the servers so people don’t get exausted on the ground. That’s all. Hold your horses.

Not really netcode but network latency to the server. The result survivors are looking for is to negate the killer's attack even if it hits according to the server. This would look like the survivor going down on the killer's screen then would instantly pop back up.
It be like grabs currently. You grab a survivor, the grab animation starts, but you swing instead (or freeze).

You know I never understand the hate or love for dead hard. As a survivor, I avoid meta perks generally and don't find the need to use it. As a killer, I never find it hindering me as most are obvious with it or are forced to use it in a chase at a point where gaining distance to a pallet/vault isn't an option.
I laugh at dead hard as a killer because it almost never does anything for the survivor. But I do love a survivor that does it right and extwnds the chase because... fair play. This perk should be at the bottom of the list of things to address atm. OoO and DS are the only glaringly obvious perks to address on the survivor side. (Tick tock)

Some want that, yeah.
Some to be fair, the argument they have that is actually worth talking about though, is that they want to activate it, and not get immediately hit and downed WITH exhaustion as well after activating it.

I think Dead Hard is actually a really cool perk that adds interesting mindgame potential to chases, and I wouldn't want that to go away. It's a playmaking tool that allows satisfyng and clutch moments for Survivors and makes the Killer more wary.
However, it is also extremely, extremely powerful when used by a competent survivor. If used to dash for extra distance on a loop, it can mean the difference between a chase ending in 15 seconds or the survivor dashing to a pallet, dropping it, then making it to the next one, extending the chase for an indefinite amount of time depending on the survivor. I don't know how justified any sort of nerf or buff to it will be. I think if other abusive survivor perks are brought in line (DS/Unbreakable/ BT combo, etc) Dead Hard will seem less daunting to play against.

I would be behind the exhaustion not prompting. Even though it helps little if the killer picks them up. Having the survivor down and back up would spawn countless hackusations.

Silly To get killed by No Ed by the killer pressing a button at the end of the game

they are actually fixing it in this patch so it works better
