I give up, Jason Voorhees will never be in Dead by Daylight.
This may be the worst Friday I've ever had, but now ... The damn producer is suing Warner Bros and Paramount for profits. Well, I'll finally say it. Jason Voorhees will never be in Dead by Daylight, another lawsuit is coming, I think the trapper, is my Jason.

Another lawsuit already? Jesus, they just has one.

The Friday the 13th franchise is such a legal mess, it never seems to not have a lawsuit going on.
1 -
Lawsuit after lawsuit after lawsuit. You'd think one would be enough lol.
It's such a shame because Friday The 13th could've been an amazing game, and DBD would've actually had some type of competition.
10 -
Man that sucks.
DBD will be dead by the time they can get Jason in the game lol.
3 -
Well, I now seem to agree with some who have said in the past that there are better licenses to get.
0 -
Of course there are better licenses, but that doesn't make things better.
Though I will say, I have no idea what the hell Jason's power would've been considering Trapper already has dibs on the traps.

I been saying it all this time
Fuhgeddaboudit! eh

Friday the 13th had promise, for sure. The lawsuit immediately killed it.
But I think having to sit around and wait for a match to end after you die would have killed the game eventually though if they didn't address it.

I haven't played for a few months, but I don't remember being stuck in matches after dying. Nonetheless that game had a lot of problems from the start & the devs just never got to fix it.

The Trapper is Jason.
0 -
This can go 2 ways 1 they get desperate to pay off th lawsuit and Jason comes to dbd or they disagree and double down on not letting him in
0 -
Since a lot of your points aren't just Trapper related, does that mean every killer in the game has a little "Jason" in them? Because if so I love it lol
2 -
Forgot one The most iconic or one of in their respective genres
0 -
But my point is most of those are most found in trapper
0 -
btw sharp murder weapon was referring to his machete

I know, just wanted to poke fun at your comment.
Maybe a Jason skin for Trapper would be better instead?
1 -
I agree about the skin
2 -
If Jason, against all odds, does come to DbD he's oughta get a lawyer outfit.
1 -
That's what put me off FT13th. That and the sheer amount of people who DC'ed when they found out they didn't get to play as Jason.
1 -
Would you be able to send me a link or post one with that info as me and a group off friends still play F13th and be interesting to read about it.
0 -
Jason never used traps until the remake in 2009
0 -
I'm hoping Jason doesn't come to DBD and once the rights have been sorted a good gaming company picks it up and makes a new and better Friday the 13th game then the last one.

I sent it to your profile.

Yeah he did part 2 he used a snare trap

cheers

If he does get in I have an idea for his perks and power he has base movement speed and his killer power is mothers love his mother lost her life avenging him so he must avenge her gain the undetectable status effect when in his power he can jumpscare and send the other survivors into the frantic state that causes their camera to shake and imagine points of escape ex: boarded off windows look normal now his perks can't escape cause exhaustion for 30/45/60 seconds after escaping a chase cooldown 60 seconds mothers special boy when you are in a radius of 30/20/10 meters you get a general location including if they are hiding in a locker back from the dead when a survivor stuns you gain a 5% haste effect for 10/15/20 seconds

At this rate there will soon be more lawsuits than there is F13 movies.
5 -
Such a shame man, i know how much you wanted him.. But things ain't over yet, hope dies the last.
1 -
<shouts in crazy Ralph> IT'S GOT A LEGAL CURSE!

If campers can still call Tommy Jarvis then you are basically forced to sit around because he is controlled by another player who died. Back when I played you also didn't get any "points" if you left early. Don't know if they changed this. It's been a while.
It was hell. Especially if you died first and the match went on for 30 minutes. And then you had to wait another 5-10 minutes for another match.
1 -
That sounds god-awful. Honestly you still might lose your points & I just never noticed.
It's always the same people every match because of how small the playerbase is, so if you die first you basically have to wait for their game to be over. It sucks.

Jason almost never used traps except maybe in the reboot. Trapper may be the closest thing to Jason that DBD has, but that doesn’t mean they’re the same at all.
0 -
Every game times out at 20 minutes. Going 30 is impossible unless the game glitches at which point it it will NEVER end and you have to disconnect.
0 -
It wasn't like that as far as I remember back when I played it. They probably changed it if this is the case because I'm pretty sure matches never timed out, you had to wait until the last camper either died or escaped. If they did, which again I do not remember this happening at all, then it just felt like 30 minutes because it was boring af.
Edit: This would mean they actually addressed my main issue with the game which is awesome. If only the game wasn't dead and wasn't a "bully Jason" simulator. I played no-fear baseball bat Jenny and I feel guilty about it every time I think about Friday the 13th.

I agree. I can count on one hand the number of times Jason used traps in the movies.

In fairness, Trapper is 10x cooler than Jason Voorhees. :) I've never been motivated by a deformed, child who appears to have a brain animated, zombie-style by lake algae that hears the voice of his mother telling him to kill hot teens. I mean it took him like three movies just to get the cohesive look that we associate with him. I apologize to any Jason fans out there, but lets be honest, he is the K-Mart special of slasher Killers, born of a film that the Director admits was simply an attempt to copy what they thought worked in Halloween.
Trapper on the other hand, well he has style.

Let's hope you're right.
RIP Friday the 13th

The current lawsuit is between Sean Cunningham and both the production and distribution companies of F13 2009 reboot, alleging that “distribution was structured to inequitably advance the interest of Defendants and favored third parties.” ie. they “basically used ‘Hollywood Accounting’ to cheat Sean out of the profits he was supposed to get from the Reboot.”
As Larry Zerner also attests, “The lawsuit ONLY concerns profits of the 2009 F13 Reboot. None of the other films are part of the suit.” So, they’ll probably end up paying SSC some money. Not a big deal.
On the other hand, a judge over in the Miller case unfortunately passed away, causing the process to be delayed. When that eventually resumes and is resolved, there will be a new film and open door for DBD content. So it’s all pretty much ultimately moving along the same path toward success.
No worries😌

You gave me hope :,) Having him here will be the salvation of this game so that he does not die.

Jason had a big thing with throwing people through windows that could be a perk. Extended grab range near windows lol that would be so OP
He could also have a perk that gives him killer instinct near breakable walls
