Killer Ques still suck at R1-4 and why I don't think it can't be fixed.

So with the vial changes, there should be a better split of survivors and killers so ques will improve, right?

But yet that's not the case, while my friends who play surivor mostly can now hop onto a killer game and get instant lobbies at R15-10 with a minute max of waiting, Killers at red ranks are seeing waits of even worse than before the change. 25 min + in cases.

So the reason for this isnt balance (Survivors got nerfed so now nobody want's to play killer) Its not a bug, or they would have said, and it's not for the vials anymore, but what's happened is the event has turned survivors into Ooze-hungry junkies that would milk a pustule rather than save a team-mate. And this is at Red ranks too, so most survivors are going to struggle to Pip games on the account of potato team-mates or thier own behavior. Whereas killers are shooting up the Ranks, due to the aforementioned potato-behavior.

So the only way to really solve this, is, do gens, save from hooks, getting the vials isn't the most important thing in the world, theres no need to sprint around the map twice before even touching a gen.

Yep this. Suiciding survivors who derank and leaving red rank killers alone. In top of that, after 60/60 the only way to get BP bonus for sure is playing killer. Also some survivors hate the nerfs to hold m1 even longer, so some % hopped to killer side aswell. Putting all together is a significant imbalance of killer/survivor ratio

    You can only fix bugs.

The current queue times are a direct result from the design choices of the event and those have been pretty bad if you ask me^^

@ToastfaceKilla thank you for sharing how you would like the game to be played.

Unfortunately a game is just a framweork, and anybody can play as they like, within the limits given by the framwork: in this case nobody is caring about ranking, teammates, doing objectives.

Maybe you should address to the people responsible for designing such framework.

It is a problem in event design and a hint that perhaps they need to start giving survivors more bp in a game. The reason for the suiciding is not just vials, it is also the massive bp that survivors get (which is a good thing) by draining plants.

Solution, desensitize them to that bp. Up the BP survivors get regularly and see if that works. If they continue to suicide, then return it to normal. As for the event, it is almost over. It was poorly designed from the get-go and shows that extra objectives are problematic without changes to the core design of the game. Killers 4k too easily when survivors are either suiciding, or spending the first 3-5 minutes looking for flowers.

On ps4 i have very fast ques at ranks 1-4 as a killer. Like a minute or less.

But the thing is, it'll be three rank 2 survivors (well they are rank 2 when I'm done with them) and one poor rank 14 who does not have a good time.

If survivors could keep farming nectar beyond 60/60, the queues would ease up a bit.

I started killing myself as well. Reason is. while I consider myself a decent rank 1 survivor, some of the teammates I get aren't. I mean, they don't even know how to dodge a nurse and make simple mistakes. With the recent changes you can't really make any mistakes, since any noob can easily catch less than optimal survivors. So I kill myself because I played enough games after these changes to know where it's going. Nowhere fun. I'll keep killing myself until I find a good team or the devs makes some changes. I'd start with killer aura reading perks.

Or they could rework the ranking system again, since that was always the biggest issue of this game. How often have you heard killers say that they depip because they don't enjoy the red ranks? This before all the crazy buffs to killers. Well, what the hell were they doing there? They shouldn't have been allowed to reach rank 1 if they can't improve their gameplay to handle rank 1 survivors. What? You think rank 1 survivors didn't die before? You think they had 100% escape rate? No, lol, it was around 50%. I know, I experienced it. I had games where i didn't escape at least 5 times in a row. And this with double pallets, vacuum and all that crap. It's just you don't see good killers if you are a noob forum killer and don't play rank 1 survivor. Cause they don't sit on the forums and complain all they.

I'm wierd I guess. I didn't like being deranked on the 13th, because playing against any rank but red means the survivors don't know how to path or dodge well enough. 4k games are only fun, if I feel like it was a challenge. I can get the sentiment. a 4 man talking SWF team is really hard to deal with ( the presence of voice chat negates a handful of perks and at least one playstyle) and you see a lot more of them in the red ranks, cause people start recognizing the names they play with. But the other games. The ones with SWF groups that aren't playing like this is diamond league rainbow 6 siege.... Those are so much fun. And really what this game is about.

I was taking literally an entire HOUR to go into the loading screen then crash the game or lose connection by some kind of ######### bug, now its taking only 15-20 minutes to fill a lobby, it sucks to know that matches take less than 5 minutes if not less in most cases, but at least i can play now.

    This^^^

This is literally THE reason the killer que's are still long right now, nothing else. After 60/60 you're only getting the big bloodpoint chunks on killer because they can still use the event hooks.

    Precisely.
The queue was actually pretty decent following the change that allowed both sides to farm all vials but when the survivors maxed out (again), the killer queue just reverted back into wait-o-mania again since killers can still get points despite being maxed out.

this event was by far the worst of them all. It was stupidly unbalanced with survivors having them as an extra objective, and not being able to get the points when they're done, where as the killer can

OP is correct, though I find it funny that he is asking survivors to start gen rushing again. lol

I fear the imbalance will continue though. Many survivors learned that killer is a much better way to grind BP, and much more fun. As killer, you set the tone for the game. If you want to be a prick, you can be. If you want to just goof off, you can. All the survivors can do is either play along, or be toxic. Easy enough to ignore toxic survivors, especially if you don't care about rank.

Many started playing killer because it was needed, and by the end, it was the best way to still get extra event bp. What happens if too many stay playing killer?
