Balancing 'fun' in dbd
I think one of the biggest issues currently facing this game is where Devs are balancing fun right now. With these not stop survivor nerfs that are making the game unfun (pallet animations nerfs, slow vaults and extended window hits, killer weapon hitboxes, healing time increase) I get that killers want to feel empowered and have fun, but having to play as a steathed immersed gen rusher doesn't feel rewarding or fun as a survivor. I feel like survivors are just being punished over and over again and we're being pigeon holed into a particular style of playing.

Its supposed to be an asymetrical game, meaning that there is 1 powerful role against numerous weak targets, at moment, the survivors are both numerous and more powerful than the killer, unless its a 1v1 chase with 5 gens to be fixed and even in that situation u can take several minutes to break all the pallets on the map before landing the first hit.

If the killer isn't having fun, then there are less killers, and therefore less people hosting games.
That means more survivors waiting.
Both sides need to be having fun, obviously.0 -
I personally think they should decrease the amount of pallets a little but at the same time add a lot more bushes/trees/cat tails/boxes etc to actually bring a little more viability to making a juke and losing a killer mid chase. It's currently extremely hard for most survivors to genuinely lose the killer. Most the times they ever do is simply because the killer gave up on them and switched to someone else not because he actually lost them.

true, but if killers are waiting in lobby for 30 minutes and survivor wait 5 seconds for lobby during a popular event that kind of shows the games health, to the point that the devs had to hotfix the event to keep survivors on their side.

That has nothing to do with the games health. Killer lobbies were so long because you NEEDED to play killer to get vials. This caused the 4:1 radio to tip as more and more survivors finished their grinding and moved to killer roles. That was the hot fix. It's about getting vials not fun and unrelated to game health as a wholeakbays35 said:@Rebel_Raven said:
