Try kicking perks out of your builds

Survivors and Killers both get in a routine of running the same exact build... even if its not actually as optimal as it could be. They usually just run the same thing over and over.

So here's my advice: try occasionally experimenting with swapping out perks in your build for alternatives to see how much you miss them and how good the new builds end up being.

On my Legion build, I became really attached to Ruin/Undying but with the nerfs on the horizon I tried other builds. Surge/Pop turned out to be very good for my playstyle and is probably the better bet for the future.

On my Survivor build, I decided to experiment with using Kindred more. Originally I tried swapping out Blood Pact, but it didn't work out so well. I actually ended up dumping Inner Strength instead. And the resulting build worked out much better than the old one, which I never would've guessed until I tested it out.

I have like 12 different builds I use regularly on Survivor and 3 on killer. Thanks for the advice but you're preaching to the choir.

I’ll take you one step further.

I think it’s very healthy to experiment with EVERY perk in a few different combinations of builds.

It really helps develop better skills in this game.

why you assumed ppl are optimizing their perks?

    its not esport dude

just play with stuff you like...

how optimal is my small game, inner str, plunderer, bond build on survivor KEK, or head on and Q&Q, inner and bond

or how OpTiMaL is my whispers, bbq, enduring and 4th perk depending on killer, build on almost every killer?

just use perks you like and have fun with,

its casual game and most of the time of your survival or kills decides matchmaker not your perks xd

Kindred and Spine Chill are staying on my survivor build for the foreseeable future. Both perks are so good that I just have to run them. I could swap out Dead Hard, but it's the exhaustion perk I like the best (despite the perk being bugged atm). My 4th slot is flexible.

And with my killers, I do occasionally experiment with new builds. I don't always use the same stuff.

I started using Stridor on almost all my killers and it’s hilarious facing 4 iron wills and you can tell they’ve been relying on it heavily

I've been running combinations of Fire Up, Brutal Strength, STBFL, Enduring, Bamboozle, and Spirit Fury. Having no slow down perks has unconsciously trained me to play very aggressively compared to before and the change in playstyle tends to take traditional survivors by surprise. Killers I play most are Clown, Myers, Bubba, Freddy and Doctor.

Whenever I take Dead Hard out of my build for something "new", I definitely do miss it because 8/10 times I could've made it to another pallet if I had it. I also tend to play more riskier with it & riskier is more fun than playing it safe.

Not to mention, if I'm playing against a stealth killer w/o Spine Chill (mainly Ghost Face), I am definitely a whole lot more anxious than I would've been. It makes DBD slightly scarier again & as much as I appreciate that, man oh man do I wish I had that perk lol.
