I refuse to play on lerys until it's actually optimised for console
Title.
It's unplayable, survivors literally move off of your screen in one frame and using precise powers like slinger, huntress, twins etc is asking to be bullied.
I want a dev to play for about an hour, then go play blight on lerys and I wanna see their reaction to the literal slide show the game is.
Soooooooo yeaaaaa devs any plans for console optimisation any time soon? Or do we have to keep nagging you on it like with colourblindness?

We won't see optimization.
It's no coincedence that the "Optimization" category on this forum has the "This Is Not Happening" perk icon.
Buying a next gen console will be the only optimization we'll ever see for console

U do know u have to actually clean the dust out of consoles every few months at least once a year if u don't want it to slow down your games right? It collects dust just as a pc

I played yesterday on Lery's against a ps4Huntress and all those miracle hits that go through walls, corners and everything you love were there, as they normally do.
Maybe because I'm also on console? I don't know. But I like Lery's in the end... Just don't like the totems spots that much.

I cleaned my PS4 but that doesn't magically fix their garbage optimization.
I have 0 issues playing other games.DbD is the only game where i frequently experience FPS drops and bad performance overall

U might have to get a new one then :/ how old is it? U could always try getting it to a specialist see if something can be done for cheap.
I played it a few times on ps4 lerry's once but there was no issues for me, no fps counter tho but didn't notice any freezes
edit:i did have to unlock it on pc to get more fps and less freezing skill checks, it is horribly optimized on pc I know that much, and uses way too much gpu for 75-85fps on an ass looking game. My game still freezes for the first match after an update last year, first game always laggy no matter what, no idea why support not helpful

We shouldn't have to do that though, it's not a ps4 issue as game like MW2019 run fine. The only other game that has FPS drops similar to DBD is gta5 and that game is massive in comparison to dbd.

U gotta contact playstation store, if it's not playable it's refundable but u gotta remember it's a machine and a machine gets old, as it heats up it decreases its life spawn and decreases its efficiency

Ps4 came out in 2013, u can't really expect mid range pc to run it super well on ultra from 2013 and ps4 is weaker than that...

It's a 6 year old base PS4,but that doesn't change the fact that DbD is the ONLY game on it that has serious performance issues even though the graphics and everything else doesn't even look that demanding
You'll see FPS drops for example when you get hit by Freddy/Sloppy Butcher,get the exposed notification,get bloodlust,someone is looting a chest etc.

There is console optimization! It costs a minimum of $399.99 and will likely come with a headache from being in the checkout page for years. What do you mean it's sold out? Just go to eBay and pay $1,000 for one!

Last gen will likely never get optimization now that both PS5s and Xbox Series X have released and are able to run DBD well. Any optimization will have to be the game magically fixing itself.
