So locker DS is still a thing...
One of the most tilting things as killer is when a survivor decides to enter a locker to avoid being slugged while their DS is still active. I'd rather have DS deactivated when you enter a locker and another survivor is hooked than the current conditions.
Edit: I retract my statement on the heals because I misunderstood but my point on locker ds still stands.

How about not tunnelling, you don’t have to worry about them jumping into a locker then...
Also it sounds like it deactivated when healing, not when getting healed

Given that the survivor can't do anything else to keep DS active, survivors jumping into lockers with ds is going to be less problematic.

I personally like that DS doesn't deactivate in a locker...it gives the killer a choice, plus it means that survivors who are aggressively tunnelled will have a chance, instead of just being slugged. The killer can wait it out, risk Head On, or choose to pressurise gens in that time instead of actively focusing one survivor.

Let's not assume that everyone tunnels just because they're snowballing hard due to survivor mistakes. This happens all the time. I'm the last person to go out of my way to tunnel because I play survivor quite often myself.

Why shouldn't the locker still be a thing? If you decide to tunnel suck it up and eat the DS.

Lockers are fine. They are not progressing the game. Just don't chase people off hook. they either didn't do anything to safe their DS or they are sitting ducks next time you find them.
So many people don't seem to understand what actions are. DS doesn't deactivates on getting healed. it deactivates on performing a heal action. such as self healing or healing others
A survivor can heal you ofhook and then you'll still have DS for 40ish seconds

Previously the survivor with DS has 60 seconds of protection and they can repair gens, do totems, etc. in this time, and then still locker stun you.
Now the DS is deactivated if they do any of these things.
59 second DS won't be a thing anymore, as someone would literally have to do nothing for 59 seconds, and is not progressing the game for the survivors.
If someone hits me with a 59 second DS with the new DS, I'd be very happy, as it means they've essentially done nothing for 59 seconds, and that's a good trade off for a 5 second stun (for me).

That's no longer an issue (as least for me who despised it before) as it doesn't lose you as much pressure as it did before. Before, survivor would just hop in a locker near gen and you'd have to babysit the locker or eat the stun to prevent them from working on it.
With the new DS, they can sit there as much as they want because even when left alone, they can't do anything so they aren't a threat anymore. If you really need to kill that survivor, you can eat the stun but they can't progress the game so leaving them isn't as punishing as before.

But ds didn't say it deactivated if you were healed so I assume it wouldn't deactivate unless you healed someone else or yourself

If they still have DS when jumping in a locker it means they did not do anything in that time and it means they still won't do anything in that time. Which means you either tunneled them or they deliberately did not work on gens or totems or heal people just to preserve DS, so this is a win for killers. The only time you would actually be affected by DS is if you did tunnel.

That's just another way to abuse it. And the most frustrating one. Survivors will just immediately hop into the locker and when killer is gone chasing unhooker they just do a gen. If you don't want to be slugged use unbreakable. 60s force field is unacceptable

I sort of agree. Now that survivors can't use a locker, DS and a nearby generator to screw the killer over as hard as they used to, it's not so bad.

It was an issue because survivors could do gens, totems, heal, ect and when they get caught hide in a locker. Now they're a near useless asset for the ds timer if they stay in that locker as they can't heal, do gens, search a chest without risk.

I mean, if they do anything it disables it so you only have to leave them alone a tiny bit- or they just go immersive and do nothing to keep DS and in that case you still win there.
It will still help people who are hook farmed as well which is nice.

Yes it is tunneling. Let's stop with the stigma that all tunneling is bad and should be punished. If survivors are playing poorly and you're downing them in succession, killers shouldn't be punished for playing well and survivors shouldn't be awarded for playing poorly. This is just survivor entitlement. If you've never come across this while playing killer in this time, then you've never played killer period.

Yes you're invulnerable in a locker, but if you're pressuring a survivor enough that they're jumping into a locker with their DS you're tunneling or they are wasting time not doing gens, in which case your snowball is unaffected by not chasing them since they're not helping their team

The moment they start working on a gen, DS goes away. They have to hide in the locker for the whole 60 seconds or any killer with a brain will just punish them for it.

Once they touch that gen its over for them. A survivor has no reason to jump into a locker unless they are being threatened by the killer at the point of unhook.

I think that DS EITHER needed to disable on lockers OR have a timer in addition to the deactivation. So it still allowing lockers is fine, it gives some counterplay to slugging but doesn't really break killer's stride like old DS did. If DS didn't have a timer and was just 'turn off once you do an objective of some sort' I would agree lockers would be too much.

I know, but they can't benefit from it nearly as much anymore. Before you would have to leave and they could heal or do a gen while still having it active, now if they do anything it will deactivate the perk. It is annoying how they can still jump in a locker, but I believe that it will be much less powerful and is now a true anti-tunnel perk.

If you're across the map chasing somebody DIFFERENT, they would have no reason to jump into a locker. This just tells me that you're deliberately tunneling them, or trying to slug them.
You don't need to do that unless you're in a specific situation at the endgame, and even then, you could just wait it out in front of the locker. Stop complaining.

Regardless of how you slice it, if the survivors just got off the hook and the killer chased them and the survivor gets into a locker, and the killer takes them out, the killer still tunneled the person making the stun justified. If it deactivates when in a locker the killer tunnels without any consequences, which is unfair. It's no different then download the survivors and picking them up.

Have you ever played killer? Locker DS completely makes the survivor invincible for the DS duration and is stupid. If they get cocky and get the killer attention and the killer finds no other survivor they can force a locker DS which is stupid

You're completely right. Not everyone goes out of their way to aggressively tunnel like what if the unhooker hides and you can't find another survivor? What if the unhooked survivor is trying to flashlight save but they keep hopping in and out of the locker to avoid being downed?

They can't progress the objective or do much besides follow you around if they really want to use it. I think this is fine. They go into a locker let them and go after someone else (like the unhooker).

I will still disagree that keeping the activation whilst in a locker is an issue - that survivor is doing nothing, they can't work on a gen, a totem, can't heal anyone, can't do anything to progress the match. At that point if you've chased that survivor into the locker, it's pretty much going to be on the killer for doing it, you've got a survivor not doing anything - it's the perfect opportunity to pressurise gens.

No... That's what you're assuming. In the process of snowballing, you inadvertently tunnel. There are times when I hook 2 other survivors and still get hit by DS. Sometimes even 3. It's not that I'm an amazing killer. Snowballing comes from survivors making mistakes the majority of the time.

If it deactivates when the survivor progresses the game I for one and personally fine with it still remaining active when entering a locker. I think this is a completely fair compromise. I don't think DS should be weak, just not something that can be abused the way it currently is. Strong at anti-tunnel is totally okay with me.

It is different because if they don't enter a locker, then they'll get downed and will be able to use their perk. The killer also gets to choose whether to eat DS or slug for pressure.

It becomes an annoyance. It can extend the game by 5-10 minutes with the survivors playing unhook simulator even when it's clear the game is over.

No what i mean is that its the same because the killer still tunneled. In both instances the killer tunneled and because its basically the same DS shouldn't deactivate when in a locker.

While I do see that I often down that survivor to split pressure so if the timer was paused when downed it would have the same effect they would have to risk unbreakable adrenaline if on last gen a quick wglf /well make it while allowing the killer to focus on getting the other survivor
