How do you get Past rank 12 devs?
When I solo que its impossible to get past rank 12 all the killers do stupid things that make it impossible to pip up only pip down or neutral is possible? I used to be rank 1 took a year off, now ready to take the rest of my life off. Why is the game even worse than 2 years ago YOU CAN FIX THE RANK SYSTEM?

It's incredibly easy...I like....can't get out of red ranks if I wanted to.....
It's nearly impossible to de-pip, you mostly don't pip at all, and pipping up till red ranks is easy as hell.
The problem with ranking has always been that skill in this game, on a scale of 1 to 10 caps out at like 4 where red ranks are; and the pool stagnating there.

Buddy, use BT. It almost guarantees a safe unhook. Get 2 or 3 saves and its complete smooth sailing

Bill is a free character, so you do have it, if you mean not on your preferred character you can either invest some BP in to Bill or wait in the shrine. Or just play Bill if you don't want to do either of those.
Its not even that its a must have because of "skill less killers" if you run BT one or two things will happen, The killer will need to hit your buddy twice in rapid sucession to prevent you getting the safe unhook. Unless he has STBFL this is unlikely because of the speed boosteven if they hit them immediately off hook.
Situation 2, the Killer goes for you, your buddy gets away and you get the points.
See where this is going?
Its a win win in terms of points, FREE points.
The Perk also counters Facecamping and tunneling, if the Killer chooses to keep going for the survivor through BT and even DS should they have it that's on the Killer. It gives you plenty of time to earn points in different categories such as gens.
You might not like this, but coming from a survivor main, (60/40) Tunneling and camping are completely legal strategies for the Killer to use. I understand that it's not fun for us, but at the end of the day it's not the killers job to make sure the survivors have fun. This can apply to other games too. How many times do you load in to a cod match thinking about your opponents fun?
One last thing, I get tunneled and camped on the norm when I play survivor.
I'm still rank 1...havent left it in a long time. And I suck at not just DBD but video games in general. You can escape green ranks, you'll think its hard at first but I'll leave you with a question, in the matches you lose was they're anything you coukd have done better?
Edit: Spelling error

Many killers can one shot you whether it comes from they're powers or even perks. Please let me know who these killers are so I can give you afew tips to help you counter them
1 -
You have BT, so what's the problem? You have the Perk that counters facecamping killers but you're complaining about it, why is that? The Perk GUARANTEES free altruism points to help you climb. Your original question has been answered

I can assure you that it is a YOU thing.
A while back I was away for a bit more than 6 months, came back after the rank reset and was rank 1 way before the rank reset.
And I play solo from day 1.
My suggestion is to record your gameplay and watch back where you made mistakes, where you need to improve.
All you need to do is adapt and know your tiles, that's all there is to it.

Err I often pip even when there is a facecamping killer, I'm not sure why you struggle. Heck I'd rather depip, red ranks are a toxic mess.
Also its not the killer's job to make you pip up, that's on you. If you have a camper crank out gens or get in the killers face for chase points I mean its not that hard really.

Borrowed time? It let's them take a free hit, which is the point of the Perk, Here's a scenario, a Bubba is running back to hook, you save, he revs his chainsaw the saved survivor(this likely won't happen at your rank but don't take it personally, lower ranked players are still trying to learn the game) runs at the Killer and gets hit, bt allows the hit, he retreats.
Now regardless of who the Killer goes for your points are basically guaranteed. Because the saved survivor is now at a loop and you have been saved by a body block. You win In this scenario. It won't save you sure, but that's only and issue when YOU mistime a save, you can misstime a save against a face camping killer, run at the unhooked survivor then hug them(not literally) and go around them, the Killer will likely hit the survivor, and even if its a obeshot killer they won't be able to take you down as the rescuer has been saved by the time they attack

We're the ones taking time out of our day to help you wake up and become a better player. "Don't waste your time" you're very ungrateful. Believe it or not everyone that's responded to this post has done so for your benefit, maybe read what others are saying before acting Snarky man

Billy would be a better example here tbh.
A bubba will still get you with bt.
He just keeps swinging and unless you're at a pallet or window, the person with the bt will still go down.
Billy on the other hand will have to rev up again, and the person with bt is long gone by then

Trading hooks is just the norm in DBD, sometimes your team will leave you to die, I understood that it happens to me 70% of my games, but how is this the killers fault? I'm getting mixed signals, you've said it was the facecamping killer but now it's your team? Which one is it?
Still waiting on those killers you struggle with, remember those commenting right now are trying to help you, not degrade you.

Ok I know a way to fix this issue faster instead of us giving you options.
Record your gameplay and post it here, we can give you advice where you might need to improve 👍

Good point, Billy would have been a better fit. although the speed boost on the saved still helps them often to get away to a pallet for the ten second frame window between "saved" and "safe unhook" unless they run into a wall or the killet. You can still get the points. I don't want to trash talk any green ranks, as I play in a higher rank and 1 safe hit is all most red ranks mean. But I understand the ranks are different.
One thing though, if the bubba gets him I stand by that it's on him. As if you unhook right in front of a Bubba without an escape plan, we'll ya get what ya deserve.
Still I agree mostly on what you said, I should have used a better example
1 -
Than show us the gameplay, because I can pip without getting hit.
Even without touching a gen for that mater and getting chased all game
1 -
So you're escaping but not pipping? OK I see, are you not doing the gens? There's more to pipping then chases
1 -
Oh yeah absolutely, if buuba gets him than it is still on him.
I've been saved by survivors with bt against a bubba where they tried to unhook in his face.
Only got lucky once because he was to late with his charge eventhough I was in the open and should have gotten me
1 -
Its totally pipable, I agree with@Dennis_van_eijk that my example wasn't the best so I'll try another,
If the Killer face camps try and take a hit for the unhooked survivor, this is best if you bring BT as the Killer can't exactly win regardless of who he hits.
Come on man we're explaining to you why Survivor is the power role here, I don't know what else to say..
1 -
@IhateDBDsoMuch Dennis has just said he too has escaped from a facecamping Bubba. That's 2 words on 1, so do you see why we are telling you why pipping is more than doable
To add to something else I'd love to see some footage of your gameplay, ik I keep saying this but we're not here to degrade you or make you feel like [BAD WORD] if you post gameplay we can tell you if you're doing anything wrong, if you aren't, well we can admit you're in the right....

Record a game and post it, or if you'd prefer a private game that's fine too, I'll drop my Gamertag on your profile and me and you can play afew games, you say you're having trouble with teammates, I'm not the best but I can hold my own
1 -
I have a feeling you want to pip with little to no effort.
Correct me if I'm wrong tho.
But if you are serious than take a look at my gameplay here.
It's a older one but I think one of the nicest I've had and running no mither at the same time.
So impossible?
Not even close as you can see.
And I'm not even playing at my best here

I was like you before actually. I don't even remember what they changed but you'll get there if you keep trying. You just gotta change a little bit of what you do.
2 -
But there's already a facecamping penalty, you've just made it obvious you don't play Killer as that's basic information. The DC penalty is in place to punish those that ruin the game for others by leaving a match, I'm sorry but the DC penalty is also irrelevant to the discussion at hand.
1 -
Than I'm not a normal person 😂
But hey, I've been calling that for years 🤣

lol influx of survivors you must have played on steam, if you start after a long time it's a rough ride but once you get around 10 to 9 the teammates sget a lot better all of a sudden. The last two times I played long enough to get there again was right around there I noticed it anyways. Geta couple gens and unhook somebody, try and heal another at least partly to assure a pip when you go for the hatch if you see it'll be a hatch game which you can usually tellw ithin the first minute. Stay safe and go for bones after getting the altruism points and the couple gens as theyw ittle down ins urvivor number in the hatch matches to up your odds at getting those points too. No need to do beyond 2 gens if you're the only one doing them or the only other person that was doing them with you got killed already. It's a slow way to climb but it works, once you notice the teammates get better you can start playing differently.

A good way to counter a killer is to avoid getting caught(Duh Hexy) even if you don't get out. I'm sorry but the sooner you realise you won't win every game the better.
Dennis just posted a clip of him running the Killer around, if you struggle in chases watch it. I also can't recommend Truetalent, Otzdarva, Ohtofu and Uncharted if you want to improve in chases

I honestly have a feeling he's either trolling, ignorant or someone with a god complex.
Cause all he's been doing is ignoring the advice and only complaining

You're right, we should probably just leave it. He's got baskets of advice from people, but he's the one that needs to put it in to practice.
Nice clip BTW, I only watched afew minutes of it but it was well played!

Than show us your footage of some matches

No you didn't, if you have then you've been completely ignoring it like the plauge(see what I did there.
We've done the best we could to help out, but from here on put its up to you to improve. You can have the best strategys, perks or even afew godloops but if you don't know how to execute them, then you'll likely wound up angry and annoyed to the point where you complain on the forums and brush aside those trying to help, luckily it didn't come to that eh?
Good luck in dbd
1 -
Tnx.
Just had to think of this clip when he went complaining that it is impossible for solo to get past rank 12.
And here i am running no mither after rank reset as a solo, escape and double pip.
But yeah, I'm done with this guy as he keeps running in circles complaining about everything and everyone other than himself.
