Definition of tunneling
Tunneling is desire to remove certain survivor from the game as soon as possible.
If killer chases you because he can't find unhooker or for whatever reason and slugs you - you are not getting tunneled
Some people are so dumb they don't know simplest things

Didn't you just write a post saying that DS is also an anti-slug perk because it can be used with lockers?

I like the term "Teammate induced tunneling" for things like that.
However, a lot of survivors just want to complain. You do not have to have done anything wrong. That being said, killers also use that fact to shrug off people pointing out when they actually are doing that lol.

bruh the teammate-induced tunneling happens quite often and survivors still blame the killer for it

1. an underground passageway, esp one for trains or cars that passes under a mountain, river, or a congested urban area. 2. any passage or channel through or under something.

Tunneling is funny because it is also a viable strategy at times that is often, as said before, teammate induced or simply someone constantly putting themselves out of a good position. Trust me, I have seen a thousand times one of my teammates tunneled but blindly going back to the same area or always in sight of the killer.
I won't even lie, when I play killer.. I've tunneled key users or someone who keeps trying to ego-flex their looping. But I am not camping hooks or even proxying them, I just see them again and target them. A lot of times their buddies jump in and try to stop the chase so I get some free hits ;) Sometimes its best to rush out the top player.
Tunneling becomes an issue when there is nothing against it. We have borrowed time, unbreakable.soul guard, DS, even dead hard to some degree (assuming the killer doesn't commit to the chase). Some killers are designed to benefit from tunneling (PH hitting two off an unhook, hag trapping a basement or around hooks, and more killers obviously.
You can be getting tunneled and it be nothing to get mad about. I hook someone, some noob with we're gonna make it bombs it near me, I am going back to hit him... and if you are still there or in the way you are getting slugged.
As a side note, I get tunneled often... it definitely built my confidence and made me an insane survivor but I fall victim time to time. I don't even care anymore. I get it. A lot of the times I got outplayed (since I do not run DS, DH, UNB, SG). The only thing that actually makes me done playing is being basement face camped or facecamped in general way before EGC.

It’s where you hook someone, run completely across the map, and hook someone else.
Then you come back to the first person working full health on a generator and get DS’d. Should not have tunneled noob.

Yes I know, and? I don't understand the annunciation sorry.

why would he be looking for anhooker when he should be out hooking himself before those generators go off in his face

I mean that teammate-induced tunneling happens so much, and many survivors don't understand that it isn't the killer's fault if they tunnel in a situation where say a survivor rescues another survivor when you are still close without BT.

If you already hooked me and I'm not the last guy alive and you hook me again it's tunneling. They should bake the glossary and rulebook into the game's tutorial area.

Oh yes, absolutely. That's more or less what I was saying as well.

Eliminating survivors one by one without distraction is a valid in not slightly unproductive choice every killer has. If more survivors treated the first chase seriously without counting on multiple chances, those chances would feel more rewarding and less like something was taken away.

So just to ask was this directed at me and the other guy from the last post? Because thats what it seemed like.

There is a lot of people who think chase = tunneling. Just a little PSA

To me, tunneling involves a certain level of intent. You need to be actively focused on a Survivor at the expense of all the others. I've seen Killers pursue a specific Survivor even as others are right there, doing gens in front of them, and/or throwing themselves between Killer and target and being ignored. That is tunneling.
