How big are hit boxes, fer realz?
In the below picture I was standing (purple x) behind a dropped pallet in front of the killer. He turned and swung at the survivor behind him and hit the metal barrel marked with a green x. Look at that distance, somehow even though he was swinging in the wrong direction and we were separated by more than a pallet distance the swing downed me. Think about that, far away, wrong direction, solid object between us, and he still lands the hit. That is insane. Can't be lag because I was never in the spot he swung at. The pallet is broken in the pic I posted because it took me a second to get a screen grab, by that time Bubba had broke the pallet.

Here is a quick cube shape dropped over the above pic, this is how big my hit box would have to be for that strike to hit me. Actually it has to be a bit bigger to make up for the fact he was facing away from me.

Hitboxes don't grow or shrink.
Understand that the killer sees your past position as your current position.

Is there any way you can make the hitboxes human shaped? Or have the killer have to be at least facing towards the survivor? Also it might make sense to fix the air hits as well, for instance if you drop from the second floor out a window and you are almost to the ground when the killer swings and the killer hits the window ledge above you, I think the hit should not register, but what do I know.

Making hitboxes more accurate would be insanely difficult.
For example, using more accurate hitboxes would give female survivors a huge advantage over male survivors.
They are ok the way they are.The only problem which makes them look unfair at times is latency.

Latency would mean at some time in the past the hitboxes were aligned or overlapping. I never was where he swung. That means it isn't latency. The killer was facing about 140 degrees away from me. There was a solid pallet between us. This means the hit traveled backwards, jumped over the pallet and hit me, it took an additional swing to break the pallet.

How am i supposed to tell what was happening if i didn't see a clip of it happening though?
All i see is you downed in front of a broken pallet + Leatherface

Server ######### up. Nothing to do with the hitboxes.

Fair, but I did provide a picture and a pretty thorough explanation.

I would really need to see a video clip honestly. It was latency.
I've run tests on this before as well, with two friends in different regions. One near me and one in Australia with massive ping. In pretty much every test hits were fine with the closer friend; and all the issues happened with Aussie friend.
If you record a clip next time I can even edit it to show you exactly where and what happened.
