trapper changes i would like to see

i love trapper and i really would like to see him buffed.


  • survivors caught in traps take a base 15 seconds to escape (similar to victor when he traps a survivor in a locker). addons that decreased escape chance now increase the amount of time it takes to escape a beartrap.

i think this would make escaping a trap better for both sides. you won't get screwed over by RNG as a survivor and you won't have people escaping within 2 seconds as trapper.

  • injured survivors that free themselves suffer a deep wound and must mend. (you don't suffer a deep wound if someone else frees you)

without addons like the honing stone there is almost no penalty to stepping on a trap while injured. deep wound would mean you don't just instantly hop onto a generator.

  • trapper can carry 2 traps by default and there are a total of 8 traps the trapper can pick up. addons cannot affect the total amount of traps anymore and will now only put them into your hand.

playing trapper without bag addons is painful and much like wraith's windstorm addons it always feels like you HAVE to equip them if you want to even do decently.

    not sure if 15 seconds would work awesome since trapper is usually close by his traps, but we can change the numbers later if anything goes bad

    I like these changes especially the last one. I’ve been saying it for so long but yes Trapper needs to have 2 traps basekit in order to not be so add-on reliant. I would just add that all traps would spawn closer to the center of the map rather than scattered randomly.

    Here's an idea: the Trapper can find bear traps in lockers like the way the Huntress finds hatchets.

    I approve if anything I would like a way for trapper to build new traps destroying a unarmed traps in the map
